The TIE is the only definite buy so far for me, but I do like the range of minifigs available with all the sets. Despite me being happy with my slightly modded 6212, I can see me getting the new x-wing at some point.

The x-wing looks odd, bits are better bit I'm not convinced at all. Will wait for better pics before I pass final judgement.

How do you know what figures are with the x-wing? Or are you thinking of the minifigs with the TIE? Edit: Apologies must have missed the info about the minifigs.

Interesting to see the weight of the x-wing listed, it's heavier than 6212, which would explain the increased price.

The 6212 X-Wing was removed from the UK Lego site a month or two ago. I thought it would be strange to bring another one out so soon after 6212, but I'll look forward to seeing what it will be like.

Thanks for that. I can safely say that I won't be getting this. There's a couple of nice builds, but on the whole it looks pretty poor.

Regarding that ebay seller - it's very odd that he/she has loads of feedback for very cheap items, but if you look at their items for sale, there are no cheap listings. Couldn't see any feedback for the death star either. Hope it works out for you.

Yesterday I bought the 7965 Falcon, and built it tonight with my mate who I've managed to get addicted to Lego Star Wars. His wife may end up killing me! Took 4 hours to build and it's the sturdiest set I've got. Might have to mod it so the mandibles look right, but I'm happy with it. The cockpit it way too big though, so that might get a mod as well.

I'd be suprised if they brought out another X-wing, seeing as they have only just stopped 6212. I would have thought they would have left it a couple of years before bringing out a newer version.

Mine was an AT-ST (7657), and the next and probably last will be the new Falcon, along with some extra bits to try and mod it into a better shape.

The cockpit on the falcon is too big but it needs to be to fit the minigfigs in. The position is wrong though, it's too far forward. The mandibles also look on the skinny side. It's the only set I want really, but I may have to wait for the price to come down, and for someone to do a decent mod.
