Well you are so right about this! Don't get me started about the amount of LEGO female figs. I think LEGO is going in the right direction concidering the amount of female figs we got this year. Your set has about 30 figures, maybe more, so I think 1 female fig is reasonable. It doesn't need to be a wench. It could be a maiden or a princess. Most of the bigger 90's pirate sets contained 1 female fig. Either the female pirate in the red corset or the island girl. On the other hand I'm not sure if the Rock Island Refuge Female Pirate would fit in with the rest of the classic figs. I still think it is a very lovely MOC. I'm looking forward to whatever changes you might make. ~Badboy -
The update surely is a improvement! I love the fact that you kept the little green carrot top in the road. That's the greatest little detail ever!

The redcoat throwing the bluecoat in the water is a very very nice touch! I like the mix of flesh and yellow figs! -
Definately a mustache! Have you seen this head: bat knight It is probably the most useless and rediculess head ever made. The stache looks sooo awefull!

Best MOC ever, and pretty hard to top that one! But it does make me wonder if the AFOL who made this has a social life. No offence, but that must have taken him weeks, if not months, to put together... -
I must say this MOC keeps getting better and better. I love the hight this MOC has. Nicely done, good luck in the competition! ~Badboy

Wow I love the classic feel the MOC has. It brought back some sweet childhood memories. I love the foliage, the size of the palm trees and their placements. I spy ninjas! Are those pirate ninjas or ninja pirates? The mix of adventurer, cowboy, ninja, pirate and castle fig part is a gigantic win for me. The chandelier looks plain damn awesome. I suggest posting some inside shots of your MOC in your first post to promote some of the lovely details you included. There are however some minor things you could change to improve it: - I really don't like the trans green flames stanging upright on the beach. What you could do with these is attach them to eachother like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/badboytje88/3909851790/ And lay them on the beach to represent flushed see weed. - A minor thing I don't like is the use of the 2x2 tile in the water near the rock. I think it would look better without this piece. - This MOC needs a female fig! That's all, good luck! ~Badboy -
My jaw dropped when I saw this on brothers-brick! Great work!

At first I thought thiw was an entry for PTV II but then I saw the pillaging pirates and realised that this was not allowed in the PTV contest! I love this creation. The church is beautifull, just beautifull. The landscaping is done extrodinairy good! And the figs are just plain awesome! I'd buy it if it was an official set!

I've been following this game since the beginning, and I loved it. Wish I could have been in it! When is the next competition? I'm in! edit: I knew the queen was an evil dragon, I just knew it! -
The new chandelier looks very very nice. The hay (how do you spell it) on the adic looks just plain awesome! The new furniture looks nice. I do wich you added a big rocking chair! ~Badboy
-
The only thing I don't like is the use of the same fig faces. But that's the only thing. You added a frog, which makes this a win for me!
-
The best thing about this moc are the drying fishes in the window, the frog on the lawn and the little green carrot strem in the road. The idea sure is very good. I am somewhat surprised that no one thought of it before! ~Badboy

It's a shame most pics aren't clear, but I like the idea of the pirates working for their retirement. Love the use of the useless objectsin the crate. The only thing I don't like is the straight walls. They look too clean and straight. Would look better if you used tiles, slopes and such. Instead of using those big 1x2x5 wall pieces. ~Badboy

Hey! You got a good thing going on with your moc. I really like the use of the grey big skull piece. The only thing I'm not sure about is the us of the cape for grass. It looks a little bit odd in my honest opinion. Badboy

Don't change a thing! I love it! ~Badboy

I like the use of the burps, I'm not one of those people who thinks they are <insert that tiresome argument>. It's an effective way to make big rock without using to much pieces. The only thing I'm not sure about is the use of the 1x2 gold tilse. They look slightly unnatural... You could add some gems ore something.

I like that you replaced the boy scared of the rat for the imperial officer eves dropping on the guys downstears.
-
I'm not sure about the corner panel on ground. This looks a little bit out of place. I like the use of the diagonal plate. edit: The wall looks smashing. Really nice!
-
The addition of the palm tree looks great. I love how random the leaves are posed!
-
Wow you added a bigger roof. This MOC just keeps getting better and better! Ilove the faces of the people on the roof!
-
Wow that is so big! I love it! It would be such a shame if you take it apart!

badboytje88 replied to Legostein's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hey Christopher, I really like this figure. AFOL's sometimes discuss the fact if a minifig can be a MOC. I believe a minifig can be a MOC, and your minifig definately proves this. I know much of your work, and apreciate the purist approach. I'm not a big fan of decals and such. I like a good customised minifig, but I probably will never customize a minifig myself. So I love to see figs with such a great purist aproach. ~Badboy
