The Penguin's Goblin Engineers. )
badboytje88 replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow this looks so very very cool! It looks so amazing. Il ike that you used one official head as base and changed it into three different heads with their own facia expression. It looks nothing like the yoda head you started with! Great! -
This is a very nice creation. Very nice. I love the houses they are beautifull. I really enjoyed the enteriour orf the houses. Very cool of you to add shots of the interior. May I suggest some minor changes: - The water looks a little bit too calm. Maybee add some wave effects or some things floting in the water. - The port is a little bit too piecefull for my taste, I would love to see some action in your MOC. That's it. Good luck in the competition. ~Bart

Well the Penguin I have to say I love your minifigures! -
This sure is a top notch MOC don't change a thing, it is perfect as it is!

Whahaha I like the idea that the pirate doesn't have to steal the treasure, but the people are throwing their treasures at them. I'm not sure about the well itself. I've seen round wells before (in LEGO or in real life), and I personally like those . Here are some examples: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10422590@N07/3204148014/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/crimson_wolf/2736768546/ Good luck! ~Bart

Tis entry is just so <3 I love how the rocks look. They looks o natural and perfect. The round walls are awesome and I love all the tudor houses. You added some great mini scenes. The only thing I could suggest changing is the amount of plants and other green stuff. I feel the total creation is a little bit grey. Some platns and flowers or so would look very very lovely. ~Bart

Whaha this creation is so very lovely! The only thing I could suggest improving is the colors of the MOC. The building is very dark so I would light it up with some light furniture if I were you since the furniture you used now is very dark too (brown and black). The last thing would suggest you could change is the candles. I personally don't like them. Here are some awesome pics with very very nice candles: http://www.flickr.com/photos/newright/3409686321/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/agent_oo7/3396644276/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirnadroj/3471239335/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/27444109@N04/2934277667/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/38446022@N00/4123142418/ Good luck in the competition! ~Bart

Oh I forgot to tell you I really like the gems for golf balls! I read in another topic about the overhang of your MOC. I think it's ok as it is. I don't think this should be a medium entry as it is now. You could make it bigger and then add it to the medium entries. But as it is now I would still say it's a small entry even with the overhang. But this ofcorse needs to be confirmed by one of the people which organised the competition.

Whahaha I like this creation. I think I recugnised some of the classic pirates.com members. Very nice!

Wow you made changes that fast! I really like the new fort wall. It looks lo mutch better! Good luck!

I'm not embarrasded of my hobby. Since my family reacted so badly I never told it anyone else because I'm afraid they will react the same as my parents. -
This moc sure is lovely! I love the use of the sand green in stead of regular green. I like that you used different parts for the golf clubs. The steep golf hill looks very very lovely. I would love to see this MOC as a medium division entry. It sure has potention, and in my opinion could only get better if it got bigger. Good luck in the competition! ~Bartb

I like the different positions of the minifigs. It adds a lot to the MOC!

Very original idea. I like the idea of the pirates recycling their canon to make something cool like that! Great great MOC! Good luck with the competition! ~Bart

Totals: 224 Sets (208 unique), 22,451 Parts, $2,748.2, 436 Minifigs. With all the parts I ordered off of bricklink I think I have about $3,ooo.oo total! Danm that's a lot!

Pirates and redcoats working together? You must have a serious case of tequilla flue! Just kidding. I like the idea of the pirates actually building something instead of burning it down or pillaging. I like the parrading men. The one thing I miss in this moc is details. It would look so good if the rood wasn't that even, but a little bit bumpy by adding some random plates and some 1x1 round plates (pebbles) Maybee add some rocks or some green plants next to the road. That's about all I would change if it was my MOC. Good luck in the competition! ~Bart

This MOC is just so lovely! The SNOT water is perfect. I love the different types of botes. The mermaids in the water and the pirate trying to get one of them to accept his flowers. The tempel and the three house are both very very lovely. I like the fact that islanders and pirates can get along perfectly and live happily together. Good luck in the competition! ~Bart

Indeed! Brickbeard looks soo cute with the flowers in his hand. His wife is lovely. I love the head hair combination. The house is lovely and very colorful. I really like that brickbeard dressed up for his wife. Only one critic; Where is brickbeards hook?

Is the doughter's dress regular blue or light blue?

Nice and funny MOC you got there! It reminds me of thos films of kids playing happy slapping! The MOC itself is a little bit grey, but the colorful minifigs make up for that! Though adding some color couldn't hurt. I love the round with the fishes!

This looks so lovely and piecefull. I love the candles blowing in the wind.

Whaha you are so right! Trust me, I could know, I'm a teacher!

WOW this is so awesome! There are so much things I really like about this MOC, like: - The fishing birds - The dry patch of land in the water with the tan and the clear plates - The seeweed with the yellow flowers - The waves in the water - The roots and the different plants, especially the use of minifig arms and hands for roots is lovely - The enormous amount of stuff the governor is taking along - The face of the guy pulling the cart There are some minor parts I don’t like: - The face of the governor looks too young to me - The stack of luggage looks to brown in my opinion. It could use more small pieces and colorful stuff - The blurry pics That’s all, good luck in the competition! ~Bart

Don't change a thing. This looks so so great! I love the crooked planks on the deck they look lovely. The posing of the minifigs is ever so lovely! They look like they actually were moving when someone took this shot. The pirates look awesome! ~Bart
