  1. Well when I've bought a new set and am assemblin it, I'll build it on my bed with the tv on and a nice cool glass of water. I put my tv on so that my parents don't hear the sound of the rattling LEGO bricks as they are not too fond of my hobby! Whey I build a MOC, I need to get up to the attic where all my bricks are. I have my grey, dark grey, tan, black and sand green parts sorted on color so when I need just one part I'll dump the box out on a large blanket so i can easily put it back into the box using the blanket. I tend to allways have my mobile around, since I don't have a watch en tend to lose time while building.
  2. I saw this on flickr. At first I thought you had made two different MOC's untill I saw the pic where both of the MOCs were stacked on each other. I love it! There are so many great little details like the hight sign, the skid marks, the merry go round and the figs are very nice too. Great job!
  3. Oh I'm not disappointed at all! I love the new pirate set line, and the minifigs are just lovely. I just was amazed at the similarities when I held the two 'brown vest with tattoo on chest' torsos next to each other. And then I started to compare all new torsos wit old ones. Noticing even more similarities. So I started wondering if they were truly based on the old torsos or if I were just seeing what I wanted to see.
  4. Join the club. Just show me a minifig part and I can tell you within 10 seconds where it came from. Sad... I know!
  5. I think there's a guinea pig up my... We'll I wanna move to Sweden, the women there are purdeh!
  6. So I was creating some pirate minifigs today and started noticing a lot of similarities between old and new torso's. Just like LEGO updated the old torso's. I've created this image with some help of bricklink photo's. Check it out: So what's going on? Did LEGO update the old torso's? Are the new torso's merely inspired by the old ones? Is it just a coinsidense? Am I just seeing what I want to see? What is your opinion about this! Let me know!

  8. I understand, adding a lot of new players would be a risk. And since a host of a maffia game puts a lot of time and effort into the game, he wants it to be a succes. Adding members fermilliar to the game is a garantee for a nice game. So I totally understand. I didn't want to judge you or something. It's your game! ~Badboy
  9. I find it somehow dissapointing that out of the 21 players of Infection 11 of them were also in the Mystical Castle... Can't wait to enter one of these contests myself!
  10. I didn’t know this was an entry for the PTV contest. I commented on it on your flickr account already. The thing which sells this MOC for me is the fact that you updated an official set for this competitions. I especially love the walls with dark red and yellow tiles on them which looks like the old school printed wall pieces. The wooden platform with the crates and chests on it look marvelous. I love the mixture of the brown and redish brown. The pebbles on the steep hill look very nice too. The interior is just plain lovely. I love the yellow cheese slopes above the arch and the dark red roof. Man I could go on complimenting your megablocks up to heaven. The only thing I would like is to see some more color inside the fort and some plants outside of the fort on the rocks. That’s all ~Badboy
  11. This set: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/725-1?showpic=6146 It was produced in 1990. I got it from my parents build it and havent taken it apart since. I still think this is one of the greatest sets ever! Bart
  12. Wow I am honored to be the First one to comment on your creation! I saw it on flickr and hurried to eurobricks to see if you posted it on here already. I really like the idea you used. The poses of the minifigs are really dynamic. The ship looks very awesome. The posement of the jumper and the fisher are very nice. I love the use of the hook, for a fishing hook, the plastic cape on the hip and the use of the blue flower for splashing water. There is however some room for improvement: -I personally don't like the use of the brown minifigheads for a railing. Using the new telescope piece would look so much better. And I think the railing looks too open. -The minifig on the left, the one who is jumping in the air holding a flag, would look better with a 1x2 blue plate under the torso. This will be the hips of the minifig. -The fig in the water with the peddle would look better with a different color 1x2 tile with one stud. Maybe yellow to suggest him not wearing a shirt. -It would be awesome if there was a mast of some sort behind the minifigs on the ship. That's all ~Badboy edit: Seems like I wasn't the first one to post on this MOC, bummer!
  13. I have to agree with TheOtters on the floor. It looks awesome!
  14. Head of his mother in law's ghost. She vanished and Mark...
  15. Wow that is a very very nice building! The only thing I don't like is the rippled neck of the little girl. It would look better with a scarf around the neck or a different torso.
  16. Oh I see you made an update! It looks really nice. Did you place a bricklink order just to get the fishing net? It looks a lot better than the large cone you used at first. I like the white fether comming out of the mouth of the fishy. The water looks lovely, wavey and shimmery, if you get what I mean. Personally I'm not fond of using yellow brick for sand, but that's just my opinion. Before tan was produced, yellow was the way to go. So let's just call it old school! The only thing I don't like is the red arms on the imperial. White would be much better in my opinion. I was wondering, what is the red stick on which the hat is resting? Also the palmtree would improve a lot with a few more leaves. ~Badboy

  18. Wow this entry is so full of action! I love it! The pirates on the side line look great as does the fence they are standing behind. You used some decals, which I think are a little bit too chesty, but that’s just me. There is however some room for improvement: -The whole hillside is green, this looks somewhat unnatural. I think it would look better if you added some grey rocks made of plates and cheese slopes. -You made some height differences in the green field, this could be done more to make it look more realistic. -I think you only made one brown pole to suggest the field stretches out more on the right side, but I think it would look better if you made a second brown pole on the other side of the flags. -I don’t like some of the running pirates. Especially the smiley face in the middle. -I agree with the comment above about tiling up the cheese with a 2x2 round yellow tile. That’s all! ~Badboy
  19. This goes back a long time! I've always hated the standard smiley for a (female) face (there are people who love it, since it's a classic, I'm not one of them), so I was very happy when lego produced this head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bp02 After a while this head became to generic. Every female fig had that face, until lego made the island babe, the ice planet babe and the rock raider babe. Those were the first actual detailed female faces. And when lego first made the female head, like the one of the admeral's doughter, I really liked it. But now lego has been using it for all the female fig, which results in the fact that I started to find that head boring. So that's why. I used the exo forse head because it looks slightly exotic. ~Badboy
  20. I'm not going to comment on the MOC, I'm going to comment on what you said in the first post, about not being able to win. Point one, you should have fun entering this competition, not everything is about winning. And point two if you listen to the advice people give you, then you'd might make a shot at winning! ~Badboy
  21. The update is looking awesome. Downsizing the violence was a good idea if you ask me. And thanks for adding a female fig. Nice to know people really listen to our advice! Good luck in the competition!
  22. Wow your MOC sure has some nice details. There are however some things I'd change: -I'm not sure about the minifig torso on top of the shelves behind the bar. Not sure wat it is supposed to be... - To me this looks a little bit too empty. It would look better if you made a wall for behind the shelves an such! Btw keep the rat, it's cute! ~Badboy
  23. It's a very nice idea of you tho put sigfigs in your mocs! Very nice idea! The only thing which needs work in my opinion is the building. It's too plain and boring. Try adding some details, or at least some windows!
  24. Very clever idea. I love the dentist assistant. In Holland we've got a song about that it's allways spring in the eyes of the docters assistant. The only thing I'm not sure about is the name of the dentist. Bluetooth?¿ What's wrong with goldtooth? Considering he's got golden teeth! ~Badboy
