  1. Well I personally don't mind studs. I think studded water is OK and studded grass field and studded beaches are OK too. But I just think that if he were to use tiles on the dock thes would make it look like the dock consits out of more small planks in stead of one big plank. ~Badboy
  2. Oooh this idea is great! I love it. The only thing I don't like is the shape of the island. It just one big square brick. I believe it woul look better if you used small bricks and plates to create a island which is naturay shaped and not so flat. I don't mind the studded water. To me the studs represent waves. ~Badboy
  3. I really like the idea of this MOC. A cruell pirate and his passive agressive hobby: Gardening! Great idea. Personally I'm not to fond of the big flowers you used. Here are some great ideas on how to make some special flowers: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=570088 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1001151 And think big, the more flowers the better! ~Badboy
  4. Wow this is a great small MOC! I really like the chair you made, nice use of the teath part for the chairs legs. I also like the chandelier and the curtains. I do not think there's much room for improvement. Only thing I could think of to improve your MOC would be if you used some other heads for the minifigs. These are fine, but we've all seen them before. There are some interesting scared faces amongst the powerminer sets, and for the soldier upstairs I'd advise to use an older head, like the ones LEGO produced in the 90's. ~Badboy
  5. I really really love your roof. This is the stronges esset of your MOC. What do men love? I'm not sure, but looking at your MOC I guess the answere is guns, booze and ugly bar maids? Things I would change: - Make a prettier bar maiden - I'd use SNOT water like shown in this MOC: Linky linky - I'd use bricks to build the bar in stead of those large panels. Using those panels looks good on the outside, but a little bit iffy on the inside. - I love the tan dock, but maybe you could use plates to cover up the studs. This makes it look like the dock was made of wooden planks. You got a good thing going on, but there's still some rome for improvement. ~Badboy
  6. I like the idea behind this MOC. I still believe this is a little bit to violent for this competition. Some things I would change: 1) I'd build the island out of smaller plates instead of bricks and slopes. 2) I'd give the pirates some more piratey assesoires, like hats, vambraces and such. 3) I believe your moc could use some more plants and such. I absolutely love the ants. Maybee you could create a brick built vulture who's eating flesh off off the dead pirates. You could use the white chicken design from the Medivel Marcket set (in black ofcourse) and use the tap piece (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4599) in red for the neck. 4) I also find it strange that the horse skelleton is still standing upright. ~ Badboytje
  7. I really like the rock wall you made. The dock is very good too. There are however some points which could be changed. 1) I’d use green plates in stead of bricks to create a more natural grass field. 2) I think the castle is a little bit too small. I’d make it higher to suggest a outlook post for the captain. 3) Personally I don’t like the use of the plant piece for puke. But that’s just my honest opinion. You could also use a green flame piece. 4) Since this is a entry for the large devision, I would add some sort of a shop or raft. 5) More plants, treasures, weapons are allways welcome. I'm also missing a monkey or a parot (maybee I missed it) . Also I’d lose the horse. ~Badboy
  8. I'll give it a shot!
  9. I want to go there, but only if the PAB is any good. Are there figs for sale too?
  10. Wow! Instantly recugnisable! I like the use of the real ice, but it would suck as a display MOC, since the ice would turn into a little pool! I like the use of the 1x1 trans red round plates for the rubies of the sword. Very nice
  11. What an interesting topic! I'm a teacher in elementairy school. And I've been tought that Playing is a way for children to develop theirselves. This happens via roleplay. Children see adult doing stuff and they want to reinact what they see the adults do. Since Lego is a construction material, kids can reproduce situations from their every day Life in Lego form. This also includes stuff they see on tv. Wow I could go on and on about this topic, but I find it very difficult to do so in English.
  12. At first I wanted to make a star whores battle pack. Since this is a site wich is also visited by children, I decided to keep it clean. I did however want to have som kick-megablocks hard women in my battle pack. I chose for Zem Wessel (because I love the official fig, but don't own it) and Aurra Sing (because I really like how Groovybones made her). Bounty Hunter Battle Pack Item #: 9587 Ages: 6-12 Parts: 69 Bounty Hunters at Mos Eisley Cantina! Voolvif Monn finds himself at Mos Eisley Cantina surrounded by the bounty hunters Zem Wessel and Aurra Sing. Can he fight his way out of trouble? - Includes Zem Wessel, Aurra Sing, Voolvig Monn and Wuher! - Buy 9586, 5988 and 5989 and create one big Mos Eisley Cantina! More pictures can be seen in my photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/badboytje88: I really enjoyed making this MOC for the contest. Good fun! Hope you like my battle pack. Please leave a comment.
  13. Thanks for putting me in reservers!
  14. What a most awesome creation you made! I love the rock formation. Very very nice. The inside of the mine is so full of action. Everytime I look at a pic I see something new! Badboy
  15. Well to be honest, I'm only hoping LEGO will bring back Harry Potter sets. Not sure if I'll ever see it happen. I can't imagine that the sets wouldn't sell. I bought a fair amount of my LEGO hp at retail prices, but only because it was the second version of an allready produced set. Remember, there were 2 trains, 2 hagrids huts. Hope it's true, but I won't believe it till I see some pics or something like that.
  16. If it was an official set, I would now be running off to a store to get it! Lovely!
  17. I already have the figs finished. Now all I need to do is choose... I made 8 figs in stead of 4...
  18. Hey guys, sorry but I don't think I'll be able to create something for the community build after all. Lets just say real life got in the way...
  19. I'd like to join the Reviewers Academy!
  20. Thanks for the comment! I am apocifi-ing the cruncher block truck. It's starting to look really really awesome. I'll post pics soon!
  21. I know I'm late with this, but I would like to join! A small patch would be enough for me. Are there any rules about the pieces you use for the wall, the colour of the baseplate or the hight of the build? I was planning to build a piece off the wall and a construction used to collect the rain water to use as drinking water. Is that ok?
  22. I seriously have no idea what you are trying to say!
