  1. The legs on the captain are from the Indiana Jones minifig. I had some troubles with the water to. But I ran out of dark blue bricks so I couldn't make the see any longer. I could take new pics and make it look like the see runs out of the picture. Maybe I'll do that if I have some spare time tomorrow. It's an anime head from the exo force series. I believe she's called Hitome. I personally really like the head. But the eyes are different indeed. It's dual printed so she can look angry at drunk and enoying customers. Your welcome, I love the summer and I really tried to capture a summer vibe in this moc. Making the see was the hardest part. But I think it turned out nice. I'd cover up the bottom holes but I ran out of dark blue bricks. Humn maybe I can cover it up with tiles and some snotwork. I'll give it a trie. Id like to add waves and ripples to the water but I wouldn't know how to do so. Any suggestions? Furthermore I'd like to thank you guys for your kind words. I appreciate all comments and critics. ~Badboy
  2. Nice work! I like the combination of the governors daughters dress and the castle princesses dress. Very nice. I also love the snow in the christmas tree and the building in dark red. Very nice! I've also changed my mind about the singing lego faces. They don't look that horrible! ~Badboy
  3. Wow this is a very nice entry. A grandpa and his grandchild. I really like the tudor style house you made. All the jewels and gold in the basement is just plain awesome. The chandelier on the wall would look better if it was an other colour. It's black now, just like the wall. The only thing I think this MOC needs is a big comfty lazy chair for grandpa. You could seet grandpa in the chair and let the kid sit down in front of him. Great MOC! ~Badboy
  4. And the figs: Comments and critics welcome ~Badboy p.s. Are creative critics allowed to enter the competition?
  5. And a monsterous load of bricks!
  6. Wow! One of the things I like the most about this creation is the mix of old and new pirates, old and new imperial soldiers, islanders and jack stone pirates. The building is well made. As I said before, the figs are great. I love the little joke about the jack stone pirate not being invited to the party. Nice details on the wall with the sword and the map. The flags are very cute! There are however some minor things I'd change: - I'm not to fond of the floor. It looks a little bit to grey. It would look better if you were to tile the floor with brown tiles to suggest it being made of wood. - I believe your pinata could use some work. It's very simple as it is now and I always thought piniatas had animal shapes. Some examples: http://www.perhapanauts.com/blog/uploaded_...nata-734567.jpg While googling I also saw a pinata that looked like yours so it's accurate as it is now. But an animal shaped pinata would be cooler in my opinion. That's all ~Badboy
  7. Wow the updated entry looks perfect!
  8. I like that you changed the 1x1 round plates into a more random order. It looks way better in my oppinion. ~Badboy
  9. I'm so glad you listened to the imput you were given. The changes you made really improved your MOC! ~Badboy
  10. I like the idea. Nothing I've seen before in this contest. There ares some things which can be improved. -There is a 3x1x1 arch in the mine rock which to me looks unnatural. -I find it hard to believe imperial soldiers would work in a min in their expencive uniforms. I'd change the outfits of the soldiers inside the mine and make an armed soldier in uniform guard the mine on the outside. -Lose the jack hammer! - To me the rock looks a little bit flat on top. And you need to push some bricks a little bit harder because there are some gaps vissible. ~Badboy
  11. I think you have a very good thing going on here. I love all the vibrant colours you used, and really like the use of the 1x1 round plates for flowers! There is however some room for improvement: -I'd use some green plates to create some hight difference in the land the soldiers are walking on. It would be great if the road would be lower than the rocks and such. -I'd make the rock slightly bigger as suggested above. -Personally I'm not a big fan of the 1x1 round brick with flower peddels. But that's just me. May I suggest some of these idea": http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1001151 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=570100 That's all ~Badboy
  12. And we've got a winner! Wow what a MOC! In an other threat I advised the Creator to use snottet water. But I actually don't mind the use of tiled water in your MOC. The mountains are so so great! The plants and trees on the island are just superb! Love the hight difference you created in this MOC. Love the round wall with the canon, and the slightly curved wooden dock (?) in the water. The palmtree looks some what out of place. Maybee you should ad another one. The minifigs are spot on and I love the use of the 1x1 round plates for the house. Looks like it's made from natural stones. Very very great MOC! ~Badboy
  13. Wow! There sure is a lot of stuff going on in your MOC, and I think that's the biggest plus of this creation. I like idea that there is a pirate education. But there still is some room for improvement: - I'd add a castaway pirate like you told us about in the discription. - I'd raise some of the land. especially near the water. If the land is on the same level as the water, the water would fludd over the land. I do happen to like the colours you used for the water. I absolutely love the kids hat in the last picture, that's just brilliant! ~Badboy
  14. A nice idea and a nice MOC, there are some things I'd change: - The walls don't need te be grey. Most imperial officers and admerals were quite rich. Their office would have very expencive wallpaper. If you were to stick with the grey castle wall, then I'd only change the colour. You used dark grey and grey. I'd pick one of these colours instead of both. - I would change the colour of the fences you used as window. Just to add a little colour and suggest that they are made of wood in stead of bricks. Since the brick wall is grey and the window shutters are grey, this to me suggest them being made of the same material (hope you understand what I'm trying to say) - I like the addition of a chandelier, but this one looks a bit to modern for my taste ~Badboy
  15. I love these! How did you make the faces. The oldest son, dad and mom look like modified regular orc heads. But the jongest son's head doesn't look like the regular orc head. Did you decal it or something? My favorite is the momma orc. She looks very evil. I would suggest adding a little sister to the bunch. A very evil little sister in pink.
  16. I own all of them! And proud of it!
  17. Wow that's a very nice MOC you made. I like the rocks and i can appreciate the studded water. Gives it that rimpeled water effect. The only improvement I can think of is using a ship hull or something to make the pub look more like it was created from a pirate ship/ ~Badboy
  18. Are you still entering this as a medium creation? I would size the island way down, ad the palmtree some cats (like someone else said before) instead of the crocodile and I would enter the small devision. Don't get me wrong, the idea is brilliant, could even be a winner but not in the medium devision. Since I believe the voters expect more from a medium devision entry than you are offering us. (Omg this does sound somewhat mean, I found it hard to find the correct words, and I'm not sure the message I'm trying to send is clear...)
  19. I like the idea of the pirate starting his own harem! Very original. I also like the canon and the small details like the star and the shell. There are some things I would change: 1) I agree with the posts above that there should be a sort of platform in front of the door. If you would walk outside you would fall in the water! 2) The palmtree in the crate isn't meant to be a plant is it? I believe it's ment to be one of those things slaves would have to use to cool down their masters, sort of a fan (damn that was hard to explaine in english!) Get what I mean? Well anyway I think it would be best if this was used by one of the islander ladies to cool the pirate down while he is lying on the beach. That way it wouldn't look like there is an odd plant in a crate positined right next to the door. 3) I'm not so fond of the random green plant parts lying aroud. If you were to add some green plant parts you should make a little bush out of them. 4) I do believe the interior of the house is a little bit empty. It would look great if you would add some furniture. ~Badboy
  20. Wow I really like the changes you made so far. You really listened to some of the advise people gave you. The only thing I'd change is the pics. They are still a little bit blurry and a little bit too light. The MOC itself is exellent.
  21. In the topic which announced this competition there was a link with tutorials on how to uplode and size down your pic. Why haven't you read that? Here's the link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19193 Hope it helps. If it doesn't help, you could always contact one of our fine moderators. Their names are: Erdbeereis SlyOwl Hope I helped a little bit, good luck with your entry. ~Badboy
  22. OK I changed belville into paradisa, I meant paradisa, I never seem to keep those apart... To me this key chain is deffinately a must have!
  23. Has any one of you guys seen this new key chain before? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?G=4559963 I think she looks very nice. Look at the new printed shirt and pants. Could this be the start of a new paradisa theme?
  24. WOW this is very different from all the other entries! I like it! I like it a lot! I absolutely adore the use of the fish for guitars. And the drums look awesome too. There are some minor points of improvement though: - I don't like the floor they are standing on. It's to much a mix of piece; plates, tiles, roof pieces... I think it would benefit the moc if you were to change the stage. - Together the figs look piratey, but the fig on the right doesn't look like a pirate at all, can't see his torso, it's either a plane black one or it's the blacksmiths torso from the medievel marcket. It would look better if you gave him a tipical pirate hat. That's all ~Badboy
  25. Wow, nice creation. I like the way you used an official lego fig, and told his story about getting back to sivilisation (I probably miss-spelled that word) Things I'd change: - The lamp would look better if you put one of these parts on top of the trans yellow 1x1 round brick: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4740 - The last thing I would change would be the 1x1 round plates on the floor. To me these look to structurised in colour. I've seen creations where the AFOL used brown, redish brown, tan, grey, dark grey, bley, dark bley and black on the floor of his moc, and it looked great. ~Badboy
