Mmmm, tasty new sets and parts, great finds! *y* Um, I think we can safely assume that this ... ... is NOT the dome to the Taj... *wacko* Browsing Green Grocer, it seems we finally get a midget in a town set! Ok, ok, a kid then... I'll make a wild prediction and say that it's a Boy Scout looking kid even. Looking through 10184's parts, I can't help but think we're looking at some kind of gas station with tow truck and car wash, but that must only be part of it. It could be a huge set. Trans-blue 8x8? I'm also left wondering just how many croissants, green apples and cherries one town could need. Overall, very very exciting news!

Maybe eventually it will balance out, but for now if you compare the number of members of FBTB who have one to the number here, taking out the friends of LEGO employees who were shilled one free, more people here have them. The vast majority of those sold on eBay came from a convention where they were handed out (and a surprisingly large number of those went to a small handful of people who then sold large quantities of them at a huge profit). This whole promotion has been a travesty.

Great review, wonderfully detailed. Don't care for the ship at all. It's that 'technic under a hollow shell' thing like the CTT. If it wasn't for the figures, I would have hated it, and nothing about these figures excites me. I'll end up finding the least number of sets possible to provide at least one of each figure for the general population collection and skip the rest (unless they do as I expect and flop here, thus leading to huge discounts). I like this set ... at half off. ;-)

This really did end up a much better thread than it began. Sometimes you just have to redirect them in the wrong right direction a bit and see where it can flow. I apply that principle to most things in life. When I think about it, that's scary. Someone hold me! :'-)

Just got back from checking out the new landscaping ... yikes! I haven't the energy or the patience for such work, but that's simply incredible. *y* One word suggestion. Japanese lanterns. That's two words. Japaneselanterns. That's one word, though less clear. Let me try this again ... Or not. *wacko* As you may have guessed, Hinckley has found the perfect place here amidst us wackos. I'm only left to wonder... which of you inspired the insanity of the other, or was it mutual craziness that brought you together? ;-) Either way, glad you're here, be sure to drop by from time to time. We'll bombard you with even more LEGO goodness than you already experience, and eventually you'll lose the battle and move from PoaAFoL to just AFoL. Imagine the chaos of two of them in one house. 8-

Right as I was about to ask for more images, they magically started appearing! It's like having some kind of remote psychic telepathy mind control thing going *wacko* That looks like an incredible about of work, combined with the whole sunlight thing ... *shudders* I really like the waterfall, it has a 'controlled chaos' look. It's almost like an extension of the natural surroundings. I can't decide if looking at the project makes me tired thinking of all the work or relaxed from the serene calm it represents so well. Ok, bottom line: I'm lazy, that's way too much work for me, but it's absolutely lovely. *y* Oh, and Jocko, welcome to the madhouse that is Eurobricks, that's one heck of a first MOC to show off ;-)

I always wondered why I had so many of his heads. I was in my dark ages for both Ice Planet and WW sadly (well, sadly for WW, I don't think I would have cared for Ice Planet). Still, I must have 5 of his head and now I know why. I buy up random lots of minifigs/parts on eBay sometimes and he's frequently one of the heads that appears, usually stuck on some figure that has nothing to do with either theme. I've had at least 3 of them come in on red Pirates Imperial torsos, but figure he's a little too relaxed (and blonde) for that assignment, so he's been getting tossed in my pile of 'future customs.' Mystery Solving On!

Always thought he would have made a good Hoth Rebel alternate in the Star Wars sets too, carrying on the scruffy looking tradition set by the other one. Definitely not the face of a bad guy. But not that they've gone fleshie, his hair would be too light and look really odd, I bet.

Talk about a population explosion ... impressive! I'm still just looking for a black crow with pilot hat for my alternate sigfig and you're buying up entire cities of population :-P I notice some familiar faces near the bottom right corner of the pic. Walrus Clone Wars On! *y*

Yep, a common problem. For a vastly overpriced gimmick item, it was incredibly poorly made. Just one more negative about the whole promotion.

SBD never seemed very mobile to me. Boba could fly around and circle strafe him for basically however long it took. Easy win for the Fettmeister.

That would explain why people are complaining about it being junk, good catch there! :-P

Let's see. Scout Trooper on a bike, Chewie in the Falcon. Bike goes boom Scout Trooper with no weapon, Chewie with Crossbow. Scout Trooper fried. Scout Trooper with loudhailer, Chewie with nothing. Chewie gets mad about all the screaming and rips the Trooper's arms off and beats him to death with them. Seeing a pattern here?

Damn. It hasn't shown up in stores around me yet, so I'm still working off the mental image of that first leaked pic, and it didn't have him in it. Fine. :-$ Hoth: 1. 1 lousy new fig that isn't even new, just a new colour. Better? ;-) Seriously though, I don't want troops in sets, I want new figs. I'll take my troops in battle packs. I'd much rather buy an Ep4 Tantive 4 with Captain Antilles, what's-his-name the Imperial who tells Vader that "holding her is dangerous" (heh, that kind of danger I'd take), that crazy dark green R4 that rolls down the hall as they're escorting the prisoners, and just about anybody EXCEPT fleet troopers or stormies. Otherwise, it'll be 2 and 2 of them, Vader, Leia and R2. Which is probably how it really will go. Picture the box with me ... Leia and R2 down a tiny hallway as she holds a 1x1 stickered tile. Vader and stormies coming through the main hatch, troopers at the other end of the hall. At that point, it doesn't even sound like much of a set. White is so easy to get in quantity. Forget Tantive IV. Make a rebel battle pack, 2 rebels, 2 stormies, and I'll make my own ship. Oh, and Ep2 clones. I remember reading somewhere that they had some Ep2 clone helmets aboard at the time, so be sure to include plenty of those! >:-) Evil Laugh On!
