That *is* a nice towel, shame those things never end up in the LEGO stores here in the US... Oooh, look. *fights it* MUST. NOT. CLICK. SIG. AAaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! *clicks*

Stickers ... *sigh* I'm still buying it, but if those panels had been printed, I'd be buying multiples. I don't know how the price differential breaks down for LEGO, but in the long run they lose money from me on deals like that. I suspect the same happens with a lot of other collectors, but the average kid won't care, so I guess it doesn't have much effect on the bottom line. Kind of sad. Oh well, it's a decent parts pack since the AT-AT is so stingy on Snowies.

Shocktrooper is better trained and equipped, so he wins in a close battle against his 'brother.' I come along after and steal the Ep2 clone helmet. *wub* Everyone's happy. Well, the dead guy isn't so happy, but I got a helmet. >:-)

Very nice assortment and that Atticus Finch is just dead on. Only thing is ... the French pastry chef. His baguette disturbs me in a way I can't describe in a family friendly forum. 8-

Welcome! Always good to see another 'mature' member join. Don't let 'mature' scare you, I just mean old like me, I'm certainly not mature :-P And your English is perfectly fine. I always find something enjoyable about the way it sounds when filtered through another language base. It seems nicer somehow. *y*

Right, the hips are permanently attached, but not the legs. UNLESS, it's a stumpie like the Penguin or *yoda* >:-)

Very nice work! Pirate, Castle, sure. How about some new girls to work the tougher side of LEGO City? :x

Historically the magnets are in the legs and they're glued to the torso. The accessories have always been removable to this point. Ultimately, if someone wants to use the magnets as army builders, they aren't obviously different, unless the back is printed with the LEGO logo as some are.

Looks very nice. Oh, and the LEGO stuff is ok too >:-)

It's easy to give R2 the quick win here but aside from that drink tray, neither of them has ever carried or used anything outside of the videogames and movies. Gonk does have internal storage, I mean seriously, he's a mailbox on legs. Therefore, I declare that he carries a thermal detonator in there. Now he doesn't have arms, so basically the compartment flops open, the detonator rolls out, and they both go boom. Draw. Of course, the cult of Gonk disputes this claim saying that in his infinite power and wisdom he is capable of feats greater than all those around him, but they're a bunch of whackos anyway. Realistically, R2 kicks pretty much all droid butt. Just depends on how the rules declare the use of his hidden tools.

What changed and which site? The US one looks the same to me.

Number 1 reminds me more of the movie version and number 2 the California park version. Of course neither is as good as the Disneyworld one where I am! :-P

Nice find *y* ... hopefully it will be available elsewhere.

Scenario 1: Jar Jar babbles and does various slapstick. Darth Maul acrobatically flips around. Various pointless scenes are shot. George Lucas gets tired of it, walks out and slices DM in half. "Hey, he isn't supposed to make it through the first movie anyway, and I know the fans love Jar Jar!" Scenario 2: Jar Jar slips on some bantha podo. DM taunts him, smacking his lightsaber blade against various bits of metal in an annoying show of "power." Jar Jar pulls out his script, not able to remember what he's supposed to do next. "Oh! Meesa shoots first!" pulls out his blaster and levels DM, sending him falling down some kind of open and extremely dangerous open vent or something, just because it looks cool. George Lucas is seen sporting a "Jar Jar Shot First" t-shirt at a convention. Sadly, the annoying Gungan always wins. He's destined to survive and vote for the Emperor.

Excellent! Definitely another site to keep watching, hopefully we can get some nice wallpapers and such that might just help tip us off to the look of the coming sets as well. It'll be fascinating to see how the game plays out. *y*

Chewbacca, sensing an easy victory dives toward Jango, who quickly ignites his jetpack allowing the Wookie to slide under him, setting him on fire. Chewie doesn't panic however, quickly remembering when he was a little wookie and learned to stop, drop, and roll. Stop and drop go well. Roll, not so well, as he does forget that they're on Kashyyk and fighting on a walkway some 300ft above the ground. Jango mutters, "who's your daddy, now?" to which Chewie screams something which translates to "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo" as he falls to his death. Neither of them realises the irony of this exchange and it's future implications. Well, Chewie doesn't realise anything and Jango will eventually lose his head in another battle, so I guess neither cares much.

Ending credits of Shadows of the Empire (not sure if you had to finish at the hardest difficulty or not). It includes a variety of old-fashioned disclaimers and wampa jokes. It's good stuff, but I couldn't find a transcription online, unfortunately.

I voted on a purely estimatory basis, pulled out of memory and odd mental calculations. Ok, so I looked around and thought, yeah, those are stacks of boxes to 1000 piece sets, and those are 500s and those are ... wow, that's a lot of boxes ... and those are ... I have one of these? ... and then ... HEY! I really did pick up that spare I meant to ... and ... *wanders off*

Avatar Fire Nation Ship half off as a parts pack (Toys R Us). Creator house 4956-1 for $35 (down from $50) at Target with an eye towards adapting it into a Spanish colonial house for a pirate MOC. Star Wars MTT and Jedi Starfighter, no gold C3P0 :-( but nice sets nonetheless. *All sales are in the US and vary by location and retail participation. Your results may vary. Contents may settle during shipping. Void where prohibited by law. No wampas were harmed during the making of this game (go on, tell me where that last one came from) :-)

Just because he didn't get out much or have a sunny disposition, that's no reason to call him a hermit, or a crab. What was I saying again? *wacko*

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Shadows replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Figure wise, I'm a big fan of the basic Jawa. Short, brown, hooded, mysterious yet unassuming. What lurks behind those glowing eyes? Plus they're fairly exclusive, sitting in just one S@H only set. Had my recent purchases netted me a golden 3p0, I'd have a different answer >:-( -
I voted for :-( because it sounds better, but personally I'd call it browned. Brown + red = browned, and for those of us with a lot of old brown, stuck with the new one, we've been brOWNED. :'-(

Makes me wish all of my original Pirates weren't packed up, but I'm sure both of mine are solid stud since I bought them immediately. The shooting cannon thing confuses me, since that should indicate early sets, like mine, but who knows ... All reference pics to Broadside show a solid stud, but clearly toward the end they must have run out and fired off a batch of new ones. Figure it's probably rarer that way. Maybe everyone can check under their hats and see what they've got? >8-)

I'm never able to get worked up about it until I need a part in either the old or new colour and all I can find is the opposite. Then I'm furious! >:-) Ok, really, it doesn't drive me that mad, despite my entire childhood collection of castles and pirates being the classic colours. What does bug me is watching the change happen in the middle of Star Wars, meaning two Imperial Officers from different years no longer match. Of course, if we're going to squabble about minifigs ... YELLOW OR FLESH??? Huh? Huh? :-| Talk about a good subject for Whack-a-Fig, we've got one dead horse here.

This from a green midget in purple pants and a beret? *wacko* ;-)
