Hey, I said it was the missing people, don't get your frilly skirt all twisted up. >:-( ;-) Oh, and you didn't keep me in line... I didn't realise what was going on until it was too late to get a part. I was just an avid follower and commenter, which shows how much I enjoyed it. :-P

Literally, that tangent saved the thread when the main story began drifting aimlessly amidst missing participants. It was pure gold and should all be archived for posterity. Or posteriors. Or prosperity, if we could figure out a way to sell it. Captain On! *y*

Welcome to another episode of EB News Presents! I'm imperialshadows and this evening cub reporter Staudie will be presenting his extensive and exciting interview with our very own Sinner! We now switch to Staudie reporting live from Sinnerton. Sure, it costs more to send him there, but it's worth it. Thank you for joining us this evening Sinner and dressing up for the occasion! Oh, it's just such an honour to be part of this prestigious program! imperialshadows bribed you to say that, didn't he? He would have paid? Megablocker... How 'bout those questions now! Q. Why the name and the rather weird sigfig? A. I tend to use the name "Sinner" as my most common username as I was called it a lot while I was in the Navy. This was because early in Recruit School for the RAN I stuffed up and saluted the OIC (Officer In Charge, i.e. The Boss) with my left hand. (For non military types this is wrong.) He shouted at me, "You Sinner!" before going off on some silly tirade about the history of saluting. This would have all been annoying as it was, but to make it worse the whole of Recruit School was there in formation. (About 500 people.) Furthermore, seeing that it rhymes with my real surname, it made it stick even more. As for the walrus, I just got him at the time and because I thought he was so cute I had taken to carrying him around all day and annoying my wife and kids with him. I then joined EB with this avatar... ...with the intention to change to a mini-fig based one later. But then the whole Bucket thing started. :-P I am considering making for the walrus a human suit so he can walk around and not be noticed. ;-) (Not being able to customise your sig-fig with different hats is a pain in the butt!) Q. Did you know Blue Bucket Walrus has died? (Yes, for those that missed it ... click here) A. Poor guy. I hope he enjoyed his fame. I always wonder if performing animals like what they do. 8-| I wonder what he would have thought about the sillyness that he has inspired here! I suspect he would have not been happy to be seen as a walrus... ...would you be? Oh, yeah. Nevermind. Q. Ever consider something other than a bucket? A. Hmmm... no. It's very handy. Don't knock it until you try it. ;-) Q. How long have you collected lego? A. Since I was about 5 and got my first set; 722. It seemed so huge to me then, but it was only 299 pieces. I still remember the day... :'-) I didn't buy much in my teens as I got into theatre then and that is very time consuming. I started buying Lego again about 7 years ago, but it wasn't untill about 2 years ago when I started buying a lot of Lego. Q. How's your town coming along? A. Not much further sad to say. Too many competitions perhaps? ;-) I've added a few cars, but that's about it. I have the Holiday Train set coming in the mail and that will allow me to make some more train MOCs. Q. What is your favourite Set? (Say top 3) A. I love this question as it can be surprising. Mine however aren't! 8880 8455 8275 I used to list the Airtech Claw Rig but since making my own compressor and using it with 8455 and owning 8275 I think that what I have is better... but I have never seem one in the flesh so I could be wrong. :-$ 8880 I still do not have... :'-( Q. What is your Favourite Theme? A. Hmmm. Very hard question actually as some themes, such as castle, have many sub themes that have extremely good or bad parts of it. Considering my top three sets, I think I will have to say Technic. :-P Q. So... *Looks round* Want an ice cube tray? Or a jelly mold? A. Well I already have an ice cube which I use all the time, and I'm still thinking about the Jelly mold. What's your price? He's remarkably cheap, it's why he still has a job. Oh, you mean for the junk ... Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment? A. I think it would have to be the Christmas of 85 or 86 when I recieved both 740 and 744. 744 740 At the time 740 was the current set and I was led to believe that I was getting 740. I really wanted 744 for the cool 8 wheeled car. I was stunned to receive both. But this was the highlight of my Lego enrichment from my parents as I think they though I was too old for more. Well I proved them wrong! :-P Haven't we all? *y* Q. Best EB Moment? A. It's hard to be sure, but it was when Hinckley did his first picture abusing my Sig-fig. It could be this one... ...but there have been so many! I felt very flattered at the time that someone who barely knew me would go to so much effort... Q. WORST Hinckley Moment? A. Probably during the Ghost Ship Mystery and he was bored so he decided to start a role-play inside the role-play. *wacko* It all got a bit weird. At the time I was trying to get some work done but he is so hard to ignore sometimes... Q. If you could design a custom set, what would it be? Whatever you want. Make it Hinckley's School of Sissy Girl Fights For all I care A. I wish Lego would get a Final Fantasy license and do the Ragnarok from Final Fantasy 8, but it looks like I'll have to just to something similar myself... Q. Where are you from? Any Members in your area? A. Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, Planet Earth, Sol System, Milky Way. I do know of one member who lives close enough to visit, but we haven't test out this... yet. I don't think I am his type... 8-| (I'd rather not mention any names unless he does himself. Some people don't like their on-line life messing with their off-line life.) Off-line life ... oh yeah, that. Q. So, you got a Lair? A. Yes. It hasn't changed much since last time so i'll just repost my old photos! Going anti-clockwise around the room. (If you want clockwise start at the bottom.) Part of Sinnerton (including my unfinished ferris wheel) and shelves full of MOCs and sets. Below Sinnerton is boring non-Lego stuff. I hope to soon find another home for it all so then I have an excuse to buy more Lego! *sweet* Close up of the shelves. I got it for free from HMAS Perth when it decommissioned and it is very heavy. I used to use it for a fish tank that covered the entire top. I now hope to turn it into a space display. (More for general MOCs than Star Wars MOCs/sets.) My supposed Lego workbench. I take photos in the area to the left. The ice cream tubs are full of half finished projects and/or sorted Lego. Below are more of the same as well as my sorting bin. My sorting has progressed nicely since this photo and I am almost finished. My supposed programming workbench with my under-sea theme sets and MOCs on top. Most of these have fallen in the sorting bin since. Since this room is officially for work I have a router, printers and a file server in here for work purposes. I do try to disguise it though. :-P The second shelf with the white folders is where I keep my instructions. (The Viking longboat has been modded slightly so there are ten rowers.) Most of my Technic sets including the *wub* Bulldozer. The crane is slightly modded so it has a Technic man in the crane cab. I did it when I only had that set so it was hard. I should try and improve it now... Behind Sinnerton you can see some of my Lego boxes. After much resistance I flattened most of them. I can see myself being forced :'-( to throw them out soon. Ahghghhhhhhhghh! The martians are attacking Sinnerton! I made this about a year ago but it is still unfinished. Another Sinnerton shot. For the curious the blue is just cardboard. When I made this layout I wanted to have a dockyard as well as the trains. I made a warehouse but I broke it when I bought the train station as everything needed to be moved and there just wasn't room for it. The problem with that was I made the warehouse as a justification to buy the container stacker and now I simply don't have a big enough dockyard for it. Recently I bought it anyway though and it fits nicely on the dock itself. *sweet* To finish, another Sinnerton photo. The red building is a Cafe corner rip off that took too many of my good pieces to do the bottom, leaving little for the top. In short, I don't like it so it will probably be trashed. It does give something for my workmen to do though. I was forced to modify my train station platform with rounded edges as otherwise there was no room for it. Other than that it unchanged. You can also see the motor for my Ferris Wheel. It works surprisingly well, but since I didn't have enough pieces for a second wheel it made the car design too hard. Failures, failures, failures wherever I look! :'-( *glances at Staudie* Yeah, I know what you mean... Q. What would you say is your best creation yet? A. Probably Strife. Since I lost that makes me look pretty lame doesn't it! Until recently I was very constrained with pieces and that is my largest MOC ever. Q. What is the secret behind not getting whacked by Hinckley? A. There is a secret? Why you would you think I know this? The comic is called "The Whacker and the Walrus" afterall! :-P Bribery. Is that the time? I have spent 2 hours answering your questions and I have to go and do some work! Wow, we've gone way over time! I blame Staudie for talking too much... SECURITY! *watches with some amusement as security tosses Mr. Stauder out the window* Thanks for joining us. We now resume our regularly scheduled program, Mr. Hinckley's Neighbourhood, already in progress. *scene shifts to a sweater clad Hinckley discovering that Mr. Postman has brought him another order of LEGO Ice Cube Trays ... hilarity ensues*

Don't worry, there will be a return to the somewhat mid-sized interruptions style interviews (not a lot of pics, but more snarky comments and a proper show format) when I have more time. As it stands, I barely have time to even look in, but didn't want to let the interviews drop off, so I took 10 minutes and formatted that one for quick release to hold everyone over. Situation is: my dad was hit by a truck and had to have leg surgery. Time and motivation to be here just hasn't existed. Everything will be fine though and I expect my presence to return to normal shortly. I'll probably go on a posting binge to make up for it and drive you all mad (nah, I doubt it, except the part about driving people mad >:-) )
-
Due to circumstances beyond our control, this evenings interview extravaganza will be short some of the normal colour that our genius editor usually adds. Some of you are probably thrilled by this, stinkin' megablockers, but to those of you with some taste and appreciation of his efforts, we apologize for this inconvenience. ... We resume our program, already in progress, and now with 40% fewer jokes and interruptions ... Q. Why the name and the Spanish sigfig? A. For the same reason you chose your name and the Spanish fig is probably because he's the coolest fig I have! Q. How long have you collected lego? A. Not long enough... since I was 3/4 years old I guess Q. Can I share with you a Hull Building tehnique Ive discovered? (I dunno if anyone has tried it yet..) A. Yes, yes!! share it so I can stea... err borrow it!! :-$ Q. What is your favourite Set? (Say top 3) A. 1. 6285 Black seas Barracuda 2. 6289 Skull's Eye schooner 3. 6277 Imperial Trading Post Predictable? Me? Nooo!!! Q. What is your Favourite Theme? A. What is it what's Captain Hook again? Huh? Q. Can My friend over here *Points to Hinckley* Have his boat back, or Must I run over you with the questions mobile? A. Never!! I shall tell the men to ready the fort guns! Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment? A. That's a tough one.. I think the first time I went to Legoland. Q. Best Eb Moment? A. Joining this wonderful community! Q. If you could design a cuStom set, what would it be? Whatever you want. No "Wack a EB member" Sets please . A. Hmmmm, a ship.. The Amserdam I think. Or a scale model of an Aston Martin Rapide. Q. Im sure you've met some EB members here. Can you describe them to us? Are they "Crazy...lol" As our friend *vader* Once described Yoda ? A. Alas Staudie, I've never met any.. but I can tell from the forum they're all nuts! Q. So You Gots a Lair? A. Aye, ineed I have, and it's top secret!! Q. Whache Think of me Pirate Impression, Maytie? If Good : Arr Have Some Rum! If Bad : Shiver Me Tibers! Its To Davey Jones' Locker Room with ya! :-P A. Shiver me Tibers ?? :-P I hereby disavow any knowledge of this thread on grounds of bad piratical impressions. Q. What would you say is your best creation yet? A. The HMS Unpredictable, I still regret the moment I took her apart... *sad* Q. What is the secret behind a good Pirate Moc? A. Add some paprika, that's all I can say. Sounds like a Staudie answer. Q. What is your favourite (Real) Ship? A. There are alot of cool ships, I think I can't choose.. The Victory's cool but I've never been on it yet.I've been on the Amsterdam and the Prins Willem once. Both awesome ships! Q. Who should we Interview Next? A. Bonaparte! Oh don't worry, they'll definitely be a boner party one of these days. Thanks for joining us, gotta go!

Sentinel Class Recon'/Utility Vehicle (RUV)
Shadows replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Excellent creation as always! I'm a fan of the whole green theme and it's great to see some of those out-of-work Luke stunt-doubles finally getting some action. *y* Now you just need to enact a road-widening project so they can get through traffic a little easier. ;-) -
*mumbles* lucky son-of-a-megablock! >:-( Er, congrats! *y*

(First in the new TV-without-pictures format of EB News, just think of it as theatre of the mind!) Welcome to another exciting episode of EB News Presents. I'm your host, imperialshadows and cub reporter Staudie will be bringing you an upclose look at Captain Green Hair *whispers* Geez, don't get quite THAT up close, he's got green hair and he smells like seaweed... :-X *coughs* On that note, let's get started! People and their odd beliefs. Stop looking at me like that. I was born in 1817 and you can't convince me otherwise. >:-( Q. How long have you collected lego? A. Harr, it was the year 1763 i believe, came upon a blue ship, it was made out of a very odd material, it wasn't wood..... later i learned it is named ABS. When i plundered it, i found some small pieces of the hull stored in a room. First i thought it was for repairs, but it was not that....i discovered that i could put the pieces together and make MOCS... i've been building ever since! 1763. Well, it's nice to finally have someone around here that's older than me. Q. So... Why Is your hair green? Do Goats often try to eat it? A. Yargh, it's those bloody weeds mate, goats do not, but my monkey can be really irritating harrr! This is a family show, put that thing away! :-$ Q. What is your favourite Set? (Say top 3) A. The black seas barracuda, the imperial trading post and the Metroliner...still don't know how it works, some strange string of rigging is hanging out yarr.. Best Eb Moment? A. Harr, i'm planning to stay a little while, so many good moments will follow...harr do have a lot of fun reading comics and so yargh! Q. If you could design a cutom set, what would it be? Whatever you want. No "Wack a EB member" Sets please. A. A cutom set??? And what might that be my friend?? Everytime I've had to edit his question to 'custom', I've waited for someone to ask him what the hell he's talking about. Thank you Captain! Q. Have you met Any Members Here?. If So Can you describe them to us? A. Harr, i have....when i was in my cabin, going trough my unsorted bricks, i found Hinckley.. Did drink too much rum that night, Harrr! Harr, yes, good idea, will work on that harr! Q. Whache Theink of me Pirate Impression, Maytie? *Bribes Him with rum to get better results that he did with *CENSORED to not reveal another interview in the works* A. Burp, good rum! Gimme some more mate! *y* Gulp, what would theink mean me sailor? I can't even comment on this one. :-| Q. What would you say is your best moc yet? A. My flagship, which is almost finished.......(to be continued) Much like Staudie's career. Q. Is there any message you would like to share with the rest of EB? A. Who should we Interview Next? A. Maybe the story of Santa Claus would be nice, seeing it is the time of the year eye? Yep, that cues the end of the interview. Once the interviewee is sloshed enough to think that we're interviewing fat stalkers in red suits next, our work is done. Thanks everyone for tuning in, I'm imperialshadows, this is Staudie the suck up wannabe-pirate reporter and our special guest was Captain Green Hair! Please be sure to tune in next week when we'll take a fascinating and revealing look at *signal dies*

World-wide - Lego SAH Train Sale - 50% Off...
Shadows replied to 6stud's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks for the heads up, a good catch there. Now loan me $100? ;-) -
When you said Hitomi, I couldn't remember who that was or what set, so I looked it up and sat staring at her in the Bricklink catalog, wishing I had one. Then I noticed the price wasn't that bad and thought I'd buy one, but figuring it was a recent release, I looked at the set information instead and realised I own it already. *wacko* I even got it on clearance, though now I can't imagine why it was on clearance so quickly, so I'm going to claim that as my reason for confusion. :-/ Oh, and don't forget (though I haven't a clue if it's important to you) ... it's the only set with pearl gold katanas. 4 of them, in fact. It's also only the second set to include tan 8x8 grill plates which, according to a LEGO S@H rep, were not going to be produced after Jabba's Sail Barge (some later sets shipped with 8x8 regular plates instead and people asking for the correct ones were turned down because the part was 'no longer being made'). Well, here they are again. :-P Looking at the inventory, it isn't a bad set at all, I'm glad I got it. X-D This 'duh' moment brought to you by the letter H for Hitomi. :-| One More Female Minifig I Didn't Realise I Had ... On! *y*
-
Anything is possible, I guess, though the game won't need any real buildup. For the show, if they're that worried about it, they'll make some kind of preview set, the same way they've done preview figures for the prequels through Hasbro. Up to this point, they've left LEGO out of that action, but we can always hope. Either way, it's hard to say what's really going on here, but hopefully the set won't just disappear completely with others having sat so much longer (6212 is still all over the place). Unless that's the excuse. It didn't sell, so we'll short ship Hoth and make sure that doesn't happen with it (though I have yet to see 6212's at deep discount and they will eventually sell out). I don't know. I'd just better get mine. :'-(
-
Grrr... >:-( Ok, now it's official, we need a contests forum to save me some grief since no one bothers to tell me anything and it's like they expect me to actually read the forum or something ... :-P I needed more of me in that sentence. ME ME ME! Oh no, I've become Hinckley! X-D
-
Not my thing, but a very nice review, thanks for sharing it! I was seriously considering this one when it was originally announced as a 6212 copack item at a particularly good price and then everything changed. I do, however, seriously ache to get my hands on one of the more traditionally LEGO looking 2ft+ Vaders they use in the official stores (at least they had one here in Orlando). *wub*
-
Incredibly cute and impressively built! It gives me an idea to build a Nintendo Gamecube that opens to reveal a scene from a game, like a miniature Legend of Zelda diorama/vig. Cute, impressive, and inspiring. What more could you want in a moc? Great job! *y*
-
Congratulations to all of our winner, great job guys, and thanks to ImperialScouts for hosting such a fine and successful contest! *y* A special word of thanks to Asuka for perking things up in his own traditional way. Babes On! *wub* *y*

I wonder if it was the same rep I spoke to about another SW issue once, sure sounds like it. In my case, it was a simple request that they turned down citing that Lucasfilm Ltd wouldn't allow it. That didn't make sense to me, so I contacted them and was told, very clearly, that no such agreement had been made and that they weren't requiring anything of the sort. Seemed that the rep was using the line as an easy way to get out of simply saying no. >:-( That said, I can't imagine George turning down $$$ for anything possible, can you? ;-) Either way, I hope they at least honour their backorders, as there are still some out there, including one for me that was confirmed with a backorder date in december. We shall see, and I'll report back if they don't live up to it. Oh, will I. *skull*
-
Very nicely done. I'd say you have the best Napoleon head, but Bonaparte has you on the torso/hat. I especially loved the cossack/painter action shots and would only have made one slight change. Fleshie heads for the dead/wounded. Nothing looks deader than a fleshie mixed in with normal yellow heads ;-) Retreat On! *y*
-
Do we have an embarassing tale to tell here, guys? ;-)
