  1. Pieces with print damage (but otherwise perfect surfaces) are stripped of their print (Brasso'd) if they are potentially useful or interesting. It's a good way to put together an assortment of blank torsos, and sometimes it provides you with a piece that wouldn't exist otherwise, like blank brown shields. Damaged chrome can be removed by soaking the part in bleach and simply rubbing it off. You'd be surprised what colours you can find under chrome. If the part itself is damaged and of no possible use, I toss it. I don't really have dirty parts, but sun damaged/discoloured bricks end up in a single container until I decide what to do with them. I'm not fond of getting rid of anything with potential use left in it.
  2. Ok ladies, you're drifting into too much chitchat again. Do remember that titles aren't forever, you can lose one as easily as earn a new one (perhaps much easier if I get annoyed).
  3. Thank you, you honestly seem to have come to your senses. And sadly, that's all we've had to go by in this game ... of life. It's led to a lot of mistakes, but what else is there if we don't know anything for a fact? The only thing I know for certain about conversions is that it was finding a note related to them that proved that Jerry was the boss. I believe that means he was the one personally converting people, and hope they ended with his death. It's one of the reasons I felt we needed to stop him so quickly, to prevent us from being overrun by scum.
  4. Remember Dr. Agon and Donald Sims? I'm sure you had something to do with it. See how lame that sounds? You can't "be sure" of anything when there is no evidence. It's lack of evidence that has killed this town, not me. I gave evidence and two bad people died because of it. Have you done better? Except most of the people who have attacked me are still alive! So now I have to ask, are you blind, stupid, or scum? Otherwise, why would you ignore that simple truth. I'll tell you what you are, you're deceived into believing a lie that has been repeated for days, but the truth is, the majority of the people who have attacked me so venomously are still alive and kicking at me, day after day. Read today if you need proof of that.
  5. The better question is why would someone loyal need to be so defensive and make herself look so bad when the town doesn't need that kind of confusion? Anyway, by your logic, I can't be scum, since I've done nothing but bring attention to myself. Of course, I did it by exposing the boss and hatchet killer, the only two things that have helped this town, but who cares about that, right? No one else can figure out anything that actually helps the town, so kill the only person who has... Great thinking, people. This is the craziest town I've ever been in. Repeating a lie doesn't make it true. The Father and Zita are both still alive, and they've been at it for days (it seems like weeks... ). You're buying into a lame theory with no evidence, when the only evidence presented in this whole game ... of life ... so far, has been from me. I fully admit that beyond Jerry and Rose, I don't know who is bad, but aren't they enough? Has anyone else successfully pointed out actual evidence against anyone? At least Robert killed a scum by accident on day 1, but that's it. Honestly, Robert and I did a better job of cleaning up this town than the entire rest of the town combined. Maybe you people are just starting to get annoyed by your own failures.
  6. People frequently don't reply to pinned topics, they think they're off limits. As for moving things ... no, it's a community issue, it stays in community. We have enough non-LEGO topics floating around without more in the wrong places.
  7. I wonder why that crazy conductor type is pining for his pin... What help could it possibly be in this situation? Something to consider. Deal me in!
  8. But they might during the fuel transfer. Still, we should probably come up with a plan to try fixing the croc while part of the group takes the tractor to see if it can pull the tanker here. I'd like to go with the third group, the one that sits and watches from somewhere shady and comfortable.
  9. That is the nicest toaster in sheep's clothing I've ever seen! The Cult of Toast approves. Fun Toaster Fact of the Day: The toaster did not really take off until after 1933, when sliced bread was invented, which makes it official: Historically speaking, the toaster is the best thing since sliced bread.
  10. Common sense and a firm grasp of the language? I never said he drew it personally, but he did make it into a tag himself. That isn't how it's usually done, but in that case it worked.
  11. I didn't read that as shifting the first time. So! Guys! We've rolled the d20 taken a vote and think you should keep going! Ok? OK! Say hey to Bulldog for us.
  12. Ah, right. I had just come from Bricklink where all the flags are animated and I hate that, so I applied the principle here without actually checking the link. Most of our tags are gifs, no problem there. But ... Right. Why don't you just post for me tonight, you're one step ahead each time. Makes me look like I'm a dithering idiot.
  13. How about not. Let's not get an animated gif trend going in sigs or anywhere else, ok? It's just guaranteed to slow the pages and annoy me everyone.
  14. Hinck and I have both made a fair number of them and I've done some editing/cleaning up of things made by others. The SW tags were made by KimT since he knew what he wanted. Earlier ones were made by other people along the way. It isn't really something we document closely as there is no point. Yeah, what he said while I was typing too much. <--- I made that, it doesn't look anything at all like my sigfig. Nope, not at all.
  15. Right, since your flawed argument about Ian/Ivan (who?) has been exposed as the crap that it is, now you want to gnore that and move on to another lame argument, but only after tossing in an unsubstantiated claim about "double-talk." There has been no double talk. I told people that Jerry was scum because of my investigation, and he was. I told people that Rose was a dangerous hatchet killer because of my investigation, and she was. You told people that both were innocent. You mourned the death of Rose. You are either scum or the worst member of any town I've ever seen. Oh. Guess what! You lose again. You're not dead either and you've been blathering for days. If I was scum, I can assure you, either you or the father would have died already. Try again. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't make it any less valid. It's a standard situation. If Alice wants to claim that the Chief is naive, I can equally insist that Artie was paranoid, and honestly, my claim carries more weight. Why? Because I exposed Jerry privately before Artie went against me, and even with the evidence in front of him, he tried to use what I had collected against Jerry to try to oppose me. That is the work of a paranoid, they can't see the truth. Oh, and let's be clear on something else. Traditionally, naive and paranoid roles end at some point at which the person either begins to behave normally or ceases to be able to perform at all. Anything like that happened to you, Chief?
  16. The problem with your theory is that I had told several people including the Chief, Quinn, Robert, Henry and Aida that I had discovered that Jerry was the boss BEFORE your theory was ever presented and before Artie and his paranoid delusions. They can check their notes (potato messages and IRC log) to confirm it. I even mentioned that I had learned something at the beginning of that day, not expecting to be attacked like I was, and continue to be. I had hoped to simply have Robert deal with the problem quietly, but your pandering to a paranoid investigator forced me to reveal my identity and knowledge, which was not something I wanted to do. In return, you've caused a lot of disruption and the scum keep gaining for it. That is on you, Father.
  17. Really? I'll be interested in his response to that crazy theory. Metagaming is a dire mistake in these situations. Before rambling, try learning. As for your specific charge, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. From my knowledge of history, I can tell you that Ivan was loyal from beginning to end and rid his town of the mob. Ian actually did the same, though admittedly the scum was considered loyal in that instance. Neither situation employed anything even vaguely resembling what you have so poorly attempted to describe, any more than the great Priest Alexander who helped rid his town of the spectre of witchcraft tried anything of that sort. See how that works? You incorrectly refer to one thing you aren't even knowledgeable about, and I can rattle off cases where you're wrong. Does that prove anything for either of us? No. Thus, metagaming You've said a lot of things to a lot of people, Father. Remember, God is watching you, so be careful in your claims. I know for a fact that you're lying now.
  18. You cite that meat shield nonsense and then fail to recognise that the Father who suggested it is still around, thus contradicting your whole silly comment. Believe me, if I was scum and had the power to make people go away, I would have led him to a Grim death long ago, but I'm not and I don't.
  19. I see. So because Jerry Buscemi, the mob boss who I got killed, tried to turn you, I'm to blame. Ok, whatever, you're not confused or anything.
  20. Now I understand, at least. Grief obviously clouds your judgment, so I will try not to hold that against you. Donald was a good man who you lost too soon. You know in your heart that what you are doing can't bring him back, but you think, for some foolish reason, that opposing me will get you killed and that would be an easy way to join him. The problem with that confused logic is that people who oppose me don't die any quicker or slower than anyone else, the scum have no reason to care about us arguing. If anything, they probably like it because it keeps the town in turmoil. They're too afraid to try to kill me directly anyway, so by leaving my detractors alive, they make us argue while killing us behind our backs. It's sad that we're playing right into their hands and can't seem to do anything about it. It's been all this finger pointing without evidence and infighting that has left us in such a weakened position. I hope your pain is eased soon, but I certainly don't want to see you die for that to happen.
  21. Good thing you can recognise that much. So you admit she looks like scum and show that you have doubts, and as we learned earlier, you have no evidence that the Chief of Police, who clearly indicates that I'm loyal, is wrong. Ok, that's clear. Thank you. I bet I can guess how you'll vote. Gosh, colour me shocked. You're contradicting everything you've said above, and now you're playing the martyr, putting your personal safety at risk to place a vote against that scourge that there is no evidence against. Only one problem with your act... how risky can it be to oppose me when the Father that you site as an example is still alive after all these days? So to summarize: You have no evidence, but think Zita is looking like scum. You fear for your life because the Father opposed me even though he's still alive, and now you're voting for me. Is there something in the water of this town that makes all the women crazy? I've actually heard of situations where it was primarily the women of the town who were the problem, but this is just getting silly. Are any of you named Iris, perchance? I disagree. If she is loyal, she's pathetic at it and only hurting the town every step of the way. She's divided us and gone against every positive move we've made. Your defending her only casts a negative light on you. Provide something more if you want us to believe you. I'm not the one screaming, she is. I've presented logic amidst her attempts at confusion. I can't argue with that, except to add that we had two very positive situations that I was instrumental in, and she kept going against them citing lame theories and idle speculation. Vote: Zita / Zapper Brick
  22. OH! Now it's all clear. You fought to defend guaranteed scum because you thought I might be scum based on a dim-witted theory with no evidence. It makes perfect sense! But did your stupidity end there? Oh no, you also refused to support killing the hatchet killer, despite the fact that she was trying to convince people that you were guilty of her crimes, then when she confessed, you STILL wouldn't vote for her and said: Not sure what to do? Sad to see her go? I can do nothing? A normal person knows what to do in that position and isn't sad to see a crazed lunatic who could have just as easily killed you as anyone else brought to justice. Oh, and you didn't do nothing, you did something very important, you showed your loyalties and they weren't with the town. You're just not very bright. It's basically pointless for me to keep talking to you, nothing is going to get through that thick skull of yours.
  23. I sincerely believe that Quinn is loyal. I know he was on the first day and given how quickly we got the boss, who appears to have been doing the converting, I doubt he was turned. Or you could just wear a "I defended Jerry because I'm scum" or "I defended Jerry because I'm a moron" sign. Let's not forget those possibilities. You do realise that scum will go along with loyal citizens to cause confusion and try to help themselves look less guilty. Typically, however, loyal citizens don't fight so much for scum like you have, especially after it's been proven that they were wrong. Should we jump to a conclusion about that? And seriously, are you accusing every person who ever voted the same as me of being scum? That's quite revealing. I guess the whole town is scum except for you, in your confused little mind.
  24. Not even close. I had 7 over a few hours one night during a mafia game where I was accusing Hinck of being a witch (and he was!) Even if you don't count my adjustments to it, I think he was responsible for 3 of those, and somewhere along the way we forgot another couple.
  25. That would be fine, just don't do it in a lot of seperate topics. Remember: Custom can mean a new decal, a head sculpt, a hand painted figure, or sometimes just a really creative mixture of standard LEGO parts to create something new.
