  1. Yeah, go ahead and fix it up and we'll give this concept a second try, but like you said, if it gets to the point where people are simply posting their breakfast or other typical things, it'll end up like the last one. That said, I can't make an on-topic post because nothing interesting enough happened to me.
  2. And a playset with Ugnaughts! That would make me buy my 6th Falcon happily.
  3. Every member of the crew has a blaster, so while we're not forgetting me, let's not forget everyone else as well. The many blasters out there are the reason I was going to focus on the knife, but I realise my mistake in narrowing it to kitchen staff, given that the medical crew has knives of their own. As for my absence last night, it's true, I was out and about trying to observe something useful, which I did, to a point. Sadly, at this stage, I can't know for sure if it was something bad or not, but it is interesting that they have commented today but didn't mention the encounter. That makes me suspicious of what they wanted to do, but it doesn't convince me that they are bad. Yet. It does tell me that they aren't either of the killers, but again, that doesn't prove innocence from other things. You people have bigger things than scalpels just for operating on the trolls our larger crew members, don't be silly. I don't know what these other games of life you've experienced are, you sound like a raving lunatic with such talk, but I can tell you that an enemy is likely to go after it's most dangerous opposition and I would qualify in that regard, so it was natural for me to be concerned. I still am. Losing our pilot was clearly an attack on the command crew, of which I am a part. It was a good idea, but I have discussed this matter with our AI and she says that there are no clues in the pictures, sadly. You may confirm that in the other topic, if you wish.
  4. I'm afraid we're not being given any alternative but to play a bit of the blame game. Clearly, these weiners came aboard in a way that allowed them to blend with their environment and lie in wait for the right time to attack us. That makes it seem like they were in the food. We have dead bodies and one clearly knifed. I'm looking very strongly at our chefs at this point. If we are given no further information to go on, we have to take some form of action or we can expect more death in the night. Lack of action last night, while understandable given the circumstances, cost us considerably. We can't continue to lose crew like that without at least putting up a fight, and given the limited time we have, we aren't going to be able to just wait around. Someone should have been able to do some investigating last night, we need to hear from you if we are to have any chance to defeat this meaty menace.
  5. +1 for Striker First post updated through ... HERE.
  6. While it resulted in 2 losses, we did at least learn that there may be some hope for us in the form of a night killer, as I can't imagine the infected having 2. That said, I would ask that the crewmember who made the unfortunate mistake last night attempt to be more careful in the future, we can't afford to lose non-infected crew that way. Actually, I would appreciate having a private word with them before they do that again, if they feel secure enough to do so. Did any of you learn anything in the night?
  7. Who? Oh! Happy Birthday, Mary! You know the routine, cake and LEGO, not necessarily together. Enjoy! Oooh, look, a diamond on the floor. TREASURE!
  8. Finally getting around to responding here, though I voted previously. 5+, I think it's 7. All colours including 'orange' which is actually 'bright light orange', a non-production colour, meaning one that wasn't intended to exist but does. I collect parts in colours they were never officially released in for my Museum of the Absurd, so it was a natural for me. The brick separator is a wonderful thing that should be owned by all. In pairs. They work much better in pairs. Oh, and to address an earlier comment, I believe you can use the narrow end to remove tiles from baseplates, assuming they are the standard tile with groove and not the very old tile without groove. Personally, I've always managed it manually, but I'm fairly certain I've seen this done.
  9. Even with the free shipping offer at S@H, it was cheaper to buy Tantive IV from StarWarsShop and pay for shipping, especially since there was no sales tax (only California residents pay sales tax). $150 set - 25% + Fed Ex ground upgraded shipping and it was still only $130. Now I just have to resist that overpriced $250 set... it's tempting, but I'm broke. Maybe next time, if there is a next time. Nice catch, thanks! Please let us know if you see this again in the future.
  10. Yes, I'm trying to tell you that even after 168 years on the internet, I still can't tell when that will happen because I'm too lazy to mirror a 2k file. You I can chamber.
  11. Quality assurance inspection stamp, I'm sure. Or someone was drinking that day. Either way. Just for you...
  12. Library! Ah, excellent! I'd like to go to the library and begin rifling through the books and shelves looking for hidden papers, secret buttons or switches or treasure, treasure, TREASURE! Oh, and I need to pee. Doesn't this house have a bathroom? Seriously.
  13. I'd like to go along and leave those two idiots to joke and squabble.
  14. Given our luck with men, maybe we'd both be better off avoiding any potentially infected weiners. You could always stop by my quarters, though.
  15. The Captain didn't fly the ship either. I wish I could say the same thing about this relationship. MEN!
  16. I followed Amelia around and then searched her room. Found absolutely nothing of interest, but I can be certain she isn't the killer since I would have seen it. I also know she doesn't have the journal. If I don't have it and she doesn't have it and Morrison didn't have it (I searched his room previously), that means that either Clarence is lying about it being stolen, or someone else had access to the basement in order to take it. This is most confusing.
  17. I'm all we've got, and that usually seems to be enough for you, at least I don't recall any complaints. If only it was a matter of finding the one with the d96 in his pocket... *looks over at the pumpkin* You've always been a little too interested in weiners for my liking. What was I ever thinking?
  18. It seems likely. My grandmother the Admiral used to speak of the Great Bologna Wars and how the enemy would attempt to hide in sandwiches in order to trick their victims into ingesting them voluntarily. They were a crafty enemy that specifically targeted officers and it was only through the invocation of code 42a13 subsection D, paragraph 14, and I quote "All sandwiches served to ranking command officers will henceforth be grilled to the point of searing prior to serving" and the associated Sandwich Grilling Requirements of 2032 that they were finally defeated. You can ask the chefs, they know the rules well and have already taken measures removing all sausage like foods from the menu. For some reason, all of our most dangerous enemies have come in the form of meat, unbelievably intelligent and crafty meat. Flamethrower. I'm thinking that should do the trick. I guess a blaster set on nuke would do it as well. I wonder if they plump when you cook 'em? I'm sorry this hasn't turned out to be the tea party you expected. Welcome to the real world of space exploration.
  19. And you wonder why your last three reviews have all been stamped "unsuitable for further promotion at this time." The wrong person can't be assigned, I am simply putting out the message that the right person needs to assume that position this evening, and I have no doubt that such a person exists. In the process, they are likely to gather information that may lead us to identifying anyone who may be infected and trying to further their evil plans by attacking me, the most likely next target if this is indeed an intelligent species. I would also like to think that one us will devise a method to determine if a member of the crew is infected or not and would be happy to submit myself to the first examination (and even periodic reexaminations, if necessary).
  20. *flashes the crew* Some of you seem to be more effected than others in the weiner department. Now back to work! We would be foolish to assume that they are any less advanced than we are. They may be simple as some of you have proposed, or they may be very advanced and incredibly dangerous. I wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating them, they are obviously capable of controlling our bodies, which to me indicates an intelligence at least equal to ours. That means trouble. I think this is reasonable thinking, though I wouldn't assume that reproduction is the key, for all we know there are a set number of these things and they just want new bodies to try to infiltrate and take over the ship for some other purpose. Going after the Captain could indicate a realisation that he was a threat because of his position, or simply because he was there at the time. I would like to assign the appropriate crew member to guard me at night, as it seems likely that a takeover of this sort would be aimed at upper staff first, and at this point, that's me. I count on your protection and will do all I can to use my own abilities to see us through this dire situation.
  21. Log off? What is this 'log off' of which you speak? As for sitting on the frontpage for 19 hours, it didn't show for 19 hours, there is a certain amount of time after which a lack of activity will tell IPB that you aren't actually using the site. 15 minutes, I think. In other words, we wouldn't have known if you hadn't told us, and we don't particularly care since we're all here anyway.
  22. So now what? I think it's safe to speculate that Dave is probably the only one of us who can't be infected traditionally, though we can't be certain that he isn't the mastermind behind the whole thing, setting the stage for an invasion of weiners for some bizarre reason... Well, you never know, but overall, I'm willing to trust him. The rest of you, who knows? I do think it would be wise to pay careful attention to the activity level of the crew. Infected persons are probably going to try to maintain a low profile and try to do their dirty deeds when we aren't looking, like during rest periods. That's right, there will be no fraternizing amongst the crew, aside from the married ones, of course. Matter of fact, the married ones should be engaging in additional fraternizing just to make up for the rest of us. Assuming they aren't infected. Oh, just carry on!
  23. Insensitive. He does seem the safest to have remove the bodies. Seeing the Captain killed by an unknown evil species makes you develop an appetite, eh? I remember that from the academy and agree that should be our first move, assuming we can't get any more information from them.
  24. It is important that we remain calm and continue to perform in a professional and safe manner. We have no means of determining how widespread this problem is, we can only deal with the immediate and obvious effects. Clearly, if we are capable of doing some form of bioscan to identify this threat, we should make that effort before disposing of the bodies. Unfortunately, this situation does not give us the opportunity to perform a respectful and proper funeral, we're going to need to act quickly to contain any potential contaminants or alien lifeforms and remove them from the ship via airlock. I propose we suit up in protective gear and deal with that situation first, then we're going to need to put a serious effort into tracking down the source of this problem before it strikes again. Be vigilant!
