Temporarily on hold while certain matters are cleared up regarding the potential future approval of this game. Edit: Matters settled.

She didn't get nasty, and by your own admission you suggested a solution that still involved scamming TRU, so she was right. You didn't ask for it yourself but you blame the employee for forgetting? Then you went to another store and didn't just explain the situation and show them your receipt? Wow. Ok, I'll do it next time.

Mafstraw Manor- Chapter 5 (Part A)
Shadows replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, that wasn't nearly as much fun as I expected it to be. So, here we are in another exciting room full of crates! Journal reading? Yay! *grabs a blankey and sits on the floor in front of Father Clarence for story time!* I was hit on the head, you know. -
I'll let this go as long as it doesn't get spammy. If people start posting a lot of one word replies, I'll drop the hammer on them. Yeah, that too.

Woohoo! Welcome to a new and exciting position in a forum that clearly needed some good leadership and now has it. They'd better not, they don't want to see the rest of us come in as backup.

While it's nice of you to want to point out things you think people might be interested in, it's getting a little excessive with back to back posts and over 40% of your activity here in B/S/T/F. Why don't we take a break for a while and a build something or have a nice chat in the rest of the forum? Thanks!

Great review, great set! I hope this is the beginning of a yearly tradition. I'd like it a lot more than all those little brickbuilt oversized iconic characters that we get every year. Now we just need a few appropriate add-ons like white baseplates and a large tree for use behind it. Say... the return of the cypress or at least some of the standard trees either in milky white or a frosted green and white. Doesn't he also coordinate EB events and kindly remind people that they need to get the #&$% out of his office?

Blah blah blah, that's different, that wasn't a mystery, that was an interactive play. Rich, too! *pulls a pearl from behind your ear while you're distracted* -
Oh please, let's start with me! OH VOICE IN THE SKY!!!! Care to explain how that is possible when you acknowledged me waving it at the group and having it in my possession just a couple of pages back before I was tied up? Are you trying to tell us that someone stole it from me and then somehow planted blood on it while I was unconscious, or are you just losing your mind? *whispers* Whew, they didn't find the jewels.

So let's see... Florence is aligned with the crooked cop who we're going to trust as an honest source of criminal records. Go for it, I'm clean or I would have been disbarred. On the other hand, Athranhart and Lord Faisser used to be up to some pretty dirty stuff together. I'll be fascinated to read the details of that whenever we're actually allowed to do any of the actions we keep saying. I'm not getting results, anyone else?

The host better remember to stop manipulating the game in a way that oversteps the normal bounds of host/player interaction, especially given the fact that they used nothing but lies and fake clues to cause multiple deaths in another game. It's the name of the game, stop trying to interfere, especially since I'm not doing anything wrong. Whoa... a diamond! -
No you aren't really this stupid or no it's not an act? No matter when it happened, we know that people don't have unlimited free movement to do whatever they want at night. I was given one thing to do, and I did it, that placed me outside your door. Therefore, I couldn't have killed him, and by the same logic, neither could the crooked cop. I guess you are right about not being sure when it happened, so now I have no reason to think that you couldn't have done it before or after that. I officially retract my belief that Mme. Florence couldn't have committed the murder, apparently she could have. Good job clearing that up, Mme.

I actually like that x-wing, which surprises me since I normally don't appreciate the midscale stuff much. The rest of the set is clearly not something they considered for more than 10 seconds. Multiple baseplates, 14 figures, very few action features for the kind of set it is, no chance in the world. Throne room? Exterior of the pyramid? Nope, not happening. That said, it's definitely a nice source of inspiration for some Yavin IV mocs. I kind of like the general idea of the hangar and at least the idea behind most of the other areas. I'll also agree that a book of just prototype sets, historical rarities and abandoned ideas would be great.

Are you really this stupid or is it just an act? Jimmy was dead by the time the Father and I left from the incident at your door, which means he was killed while you were refusing to let me in or while I was hitting the crooked cop. That means you, the cop, and I, all have an alibi for it. If you read the opening of the day carefully, you'll see that they are two seperate events. Nobody has 2 different things they can do at night, so none of us could have done both! STUPID.

Oops, knew I forgot something. *unties Father Clarence*
-
Let's not forget that our local corrupt cop promoted the idea of murdering me while I was unconscious and even tried to incite the rest of you to join in. If that doesn't spell it out for you, you're not paying attention. Perhaps we need to have a private word?
-
AHA! Now you people have shown your true colours, the plan worked perfectly! Look who felt threatened, who has something to hide... just as I said, Mme. Florence, Athranhart and his flunky Chief Morrison. *slips out of the rope* (was I tied up? who could tell with all that panicked babbling coming from the villains) As for the ruby, do you honestly think I would keep it on me? You people have clearly never done this kind of thing before... Amateurs. *unties the professor* I'm very sorry they acted so foolishly. Knowing that you were tricked into coming here, just like the Father, I know who I can trust and who I can't. So, crazy people, for all your violence, what did you gain? Did you notice that one of you wanted to commit murder? Pay attention, close attention, while you still can, we can't protect all of you.

As I have already stated, I was going there to see what she was up to after the tea drugging incident of the night before, and now it appears to have been with good reason. Wow, thank you for that brilliant recap of the obvious, Columbo. I already said all that. I received my invitation from Lord Faisser who promised an "extended weekend of fun and games." Not knowing the chap except by reputation (which I'll admit, isn't sparkling), I did some research before coming and that's how I learned of the treasure, it's part of the history of this manor. I sort of hoped that his idea of fun and games would be a treasure hunt. Obviously, at least one person came here planning a little treasure hunt of his own. Seems to have brought his gun along to the party in case things didn't go so well, I guess. Nice try, but only the sort of lie that an accomplice to the crooked cop would tell. As you may recall, the good Father witnessed the whole thing including the ruby falling out of your dear friend's pocket. Please try to at least coordinate your lies with the truth a little or no one will ever believe a word you say, though I can't imagine why they would anyway given your history. Oh, and before officer crookedpants tries to claim he was going to investigate Mme. Florence, I'll just announce that he's lying. No cop, even a crooked one, would wander around a house at night intending to meet a potential suspect without his gun at least in his pocket. No, he was going to visit a friend, a friend who has already resorted to drugging people and throwing wild accusations that attempt to discredit a man of the cloth. Shame on you, witch!

Or this emerald I found over here on the floor? Right, sure. Blah blah blah, nobody is trying to kill you. I said kill everyone but it was just a figure of speech, so don't play the martyr. A good question.
-
I'm a lawyer, everyone knows that. Matter of fact, it was while observing trials that I have seen you defending people who were clearly guilty, in direct opposition to your duty. There is no question that you are on the take, a tool of the mob and generally crooked, it's just a matter of determining what you have planned for your little visit here. Since I picked it up after it fell out of your pocket when I hit you with the barrel, I think you have some explaining to do. Please feel free to read back and see exactly what I said for yourself. Trying to misdirect that by claiming I picked your pocket only confirms you did in fact have it, and that you're desperate to throw attention on me. I was sort of hoping that the voice in the sky would fill that in. Let's all read the records! Oh, I don't know about that no reason thing. Give up the lie. Let it go. Just let it go. You've already admitted that it was in your pocket, now tell us why.

Would a serial killer be disliked if he didn't actually kill anyone? Would a mad bomber be such a bad guy if he just didn't blow things up? When you announce that you plan to take over the world and start bombing and invading places, you're generally disliked and with good reason. You don't see a lot of people marching around with "I <3 Stalin" signs either, and most of his terror was internal. Plus, in the end, the victors always write the history, so the losers are always made out to be the ultimate evil. In the case of Hitler, it just wasn't too hard to do that.

Had a gun. Not anymore. Brought it to a fun little weekend, now people are dying but you're certainly not stopping it. Oh really? You were going to 'inspect' her? No wonder she seemed so excited by your arrival, she doesn't appear to have been 'inspected' in years. Perhaps you could use this. Wah wah wah, poor you, the big bad crooked cop is in danger. If you get killed, it'll probably be someone trying to find where you've hidden the treasure, at least you didn't try to deny that. Sounds like you were planning a little blackmail attempt. Why don't you tell us all what is in those records? Interesting that you would claim this, given that I know that Amelia was invited to take a break and visit. On the other hand, the Professor was invited under completely false pretenses by a fictional person to receive a non-existent award and must be wondering why he is here as much as I am wondering why my presence was desired. Fine with me, but I'll be watching you, so don't try planting any evidence.

No playing the game outside the game thread! Ooh, look, an emerald in the corner... -
*shakes his knife in Amelia's general direction* That'll be quite close enough now, you just stay back, one of you loons is a killer... and I know which one! *stands suddenly* Yes, that's right, one of you miscalculated and I saw the whole thing as I returned to my room after my less-than-thrilling encounter with Mme. Florence. You see, I have not always been a lawyer, oh no, but I am quite familiar with law and order, I used to watch it in repeats at 4pm on channel 14. Wait. What was I saying? Oh yes, I remember now... I saw the guilty party return to his room after the dirty deed (done dirt cheap, no doubt). A thorough search of the rooms will find the bloody knife, and I would suggest that the party do that, but first, I'd like to go through those crates again, I think we've missed something. *bends down and picks up a small object from the floor* Fascinating! *quickly shoves it in his pocket* Shall we get started?
