Or, if it was dark and they lacked a light source, a grue. Maybe the sword glows blue when near ... no, nevermind, that's beyond silly. *looks for a mailbox to order the Invisiclues for Red Moon*

Well, the other possibility is that these shadows we keep being warned about can be cleaved by the bright polished silver, rendering them into slivers of their former selves. Silver is fairly well known as a bane to demons as well. I think we should pass this sword from person to person and see if anyone is burned by it. I know people who could help you make a lot of money with that particular talent.

Silver sword... I haven't seen one of those since... but it can't be.... *regains his nearly lost composure* Uh, dudes. Yeah, dudes. You uh, er, I uh, one time I read this book or saw a movie or something and I learned that silver weapons like this are designed to kill werewolves, and with the moon and all... you think, maybe ...

*stretches his legs* It'll be good to move around a little. I haven't sat still this much since my last flight to Japan for our tour. We opened for the Bleeding Monkeys, you know! *looks around in disbelief at the lack of response* So... Sandy. How about we go over and take a look at that rock with Penny and the annoying geezer that guy.

I've been a really patient kid, listening to all of the adults yammering on about this and that, and I think it's time to speak up. Mr. Right, I wanted to believe in you because you are supposed to stand for everything good and just. I think we all did. We voted with you and it kept turning out wrong. Some of the people you have accused are people I have personally seen to be loyal. I understand how some of those accusations have appeared justified, but that's the way the scum seem to be doing it, making valid looking claims about people without evidence, then crying that it isn't their fault when they are found to be innocent. Well, it's someone's fault, and eventually someone has to pay. We're all as good as dead anyway if we can't collect some real information and stop relying on guesswork and finger pointing. It is with great hesitation and sadness that I feel compelled to ... Vote: Mr. Right / Sandy Confusion and discord has led to death after death and I honestly feel like it's been one loud voice doing that leading. That voice needs to be silenced today. Then maybe we can get this job done and save the town without all the conflict and misdirection.

Oh my, I guess I'd better pack of my d96 and Harpie miniatures and prepare for the ride of a lifetime! There he goes with the d96 again. And the harpie miniatures. I thought he was over all that. Hey, stop that! He can hear us? Sure he can, just not all at once. Good thing I really lyke tranes like trains.

Clearly the Governor is scum. He wants us to randomly kill someone or we can't use our night actions. In other words, we can't investigate, watch, or do anything else that would help us make an intelligent decision until we do something stupid that will probably cost us another loyal citizen. He lied about when the National Guard was coming, and now he's killing people and enjoying it. He's taken away all of our rights as citizens without legal justification. It looks like the mob has already won. I'm glad I'm too young to have voted for this moron.

Frontpaged! Love it! All the fine detail you usually include, but in a new theme. I hope we can look forward to more Indy goodness.

Indiana Jones: Mini Flying Wing Legostein, already known for his amazing Star Wars minis, has done it again. Proving that even with the line coming to an end, there is still plenty of room to expand your Indy display, and now in a whole new direction... smaller. Head on over to Licensed and make a comment!

Let's see... Zeppelins: Check! Biplanes: Check! Lack of modern technology: Check! Looting Egyptian tombs: Check! Nazis: Nope. Looks like a good estimate to me.

I did nothing of the sort, that one is all yours. I only pointed out that it was specifically mentioned that she was being forced into nursing. If anything was to be concluded from that in this bizarro universe, it would be that all nurses are people who were nearly killed but saved by an education, which doesn't make them guilty of anything. GEEZ! You're starting to get on my nerves now, jumping from one accusation to the next without anything to base them on, then saying that you have no evidence like it makes it ok to want to kill people on a guess. You're not exactly upholding your lawyer's ethics very well and it's got us spinning in circles with suspicion but no results. Old people... BAH!

Mom says I can have 10 minutes on the typomatic interwebalizer to send you all a message, so here it is... Hi!!!!!!1!!!!eleven!! PS: I'm counting on you adults to think carefully about what you know or might not even realise you know and figure this out. If all the people that have been accused so far had been scum, there wouldn't be more than a few of us who are loyal in the whole town, so obviously we're pointing fingers without knowing why and if you aren't careful, you'll poke out your eye. Somebody has seen or heard something and just isn't putting it together, we wouldn't be left without some kind of clue from the voice in the sky, so THINK! Please. I'm having a hard time sleeping at night thinking of poor Mary, lying somewhere dead learning nursing. Why nursing, anyway? Was that a clue? PPS: I have to go now. Thank you for trying. Now try harder. Think of the children!

Whoa... I go to school, come home, take a nap and when I get up, all sorts of things have happened! I have to be honest, a lot of you are looking mighty suspicious right now, so much so that I don't really know where to go here. I considered the arrival of the National Guard to be a sign from above, but no clue has come with it. How are we supposed to get anything useful done when we haven't a clue and no one can do anything at night to try to gain one? It doesn't make sense, it's almost like someone is trying to keep us from doing what we need to do to clean up this town. At least we know they can't kill us tonight, which makes me wonder why we're in such a hurry to make a conviction based on ... well ... nothing really. I can certainly see other people who look more suspicious to me. Yes, Mr. Willis has been putting out some theories that we can't confirm, but so have others. It's sort of what we do at this stage when the voice in the sky isn't helping and our investigator is still in hiding. As a result I'm uncertain why he's being specifically targeted today by experienced people. I understand the new members of the town not being familiar enough with things to see that it's a bad idea, but the experienced don't know that we can't just keep killing random people day after day? That's not logical. If it's because he didn't vote, well, all the votes have been wrong so far, does that make not voting a crime, even when the vote kills innocent people? It almost seems like some of you are voting just to be doing anything at all, and that's exactly how we've lost loyal townies day after day. Do you think that voting proves you're loyal, since that argument is being used against him? It doesn't when we're wrong over and over. I want to vote, I want to clean up this town, but I'm too young to be responsible if it's wrong again. I already have two innocent deaths to spend my life feeling bad about, so for now I am not going to vote, but I am more than willing to take a chance IF I hear something more than "he's too quiet" or "he didn't vote" which are both bad arguments. I know this could make me look bad, but it's how I feel at this point. I could easily go along with the crowd and then claim "oh well, we had to do something" later, but that sucks, we're talking about life and death here, not baking a cake. If it ends up that he's loyal, we're in even more trouble than when the day started. If not, we may be better off, or we may find that we're trusting the wrong people because they've sacrificed one of their own. I worry about that when someone is accused for no real logical reason. Statistically, we're all as likely as anyone else, so if we randomly hit one, have we done something right, or have we been led there as a trick? Mr. Right, I do have to ask you, honestly, do you expect us to believe that you've got all these powers when the day results don't correspond with what you are saying? You're worrying me very much, looking like a silver tongued toaster salesman, and believe me, I know exactly what I'm talking about there, we saw a film about it in school. He would sit there and tell people he might be hard to kill and to come and get him if they dare and he was supposed to be so special because he sacrificed one of his own to trick everyone into trusting him. He just ended up scum. I don't know what to think now. I'm too young for this kind of worry. Give me evidence and help clear my mind so I can vote without regret, please.

National Guard! YAY! I wanna ride in a tank! Now we're safe tonight, the dirty scum can't kill us or send us to school! Why is it that everyone seems so panicked? We're safe for now, let's not go crazy, we have time to think carefully instead of reacting quickly. Silly adults. Everyone has a choice to use or not use their actions, that's standard and I've never seen a game ... of life ... where they didn't. Not using an action can be as powerful as using one, look at the potential confusion it causes.

Listening to all of this, it seems like there should be a few people who know the truth, and some of them could be loyal. 1. Whoever killed Lois. Could have been the mob, could have been a vigilante, I guess it could even be a serial killer, but whoever it is, knows what they are and therefore knows if the mob did that or not. 2. Whoever 'killed' Mary. Same thing, except we know it isn't the mob, since the mob killed her father. If you're the vigilante and you've made a mistake or two, don't feel bad, it's very hard to tell who to trust, none of us are doing a good job of it right now. Just remember that not trusting anyone is going to leave us confused and looking for the wrong person. If we know what is happening, maybe someone can protect you while better choices are made and the right people are killed. Further, we can speculate that there is someone out there who can block people from doing things. If so, they may be able to look at who they've blocked to figure out why killings happen on certain nights and not others, then they might be able to guess/experiment by blocking the same people again and seeing if the pattern holds. That could reveal the mob killer, especially considering no mob death on night 1 (unless Lois was a mob hit, which then brings the courthouse situation back into question). Speaking of the courthouse situation, I don't think Mr. Right would have revealed what occurred had it not been for it being mentioned by the voices from the sky. That doesn't indicate innocence or guilt, just that he had no choice but to confirm it. The voting has been a bad indicator so far, since all of the votes have either been wrong or can't be verified without other people dying. Still, by using what we know and not going overboard with quick accusations, we can figure this out. We just have to find some kind of trust to work together and protect each other while stopping these scum. Can we try that before we make another big mistake?

Are we there yet? ... Are we there yet? ... Can we stop for some candy? ... ... Are we there yet? ... Has anyone seen my puzzle book? ... Are we ... nevermind, I just noticed I have a window. ... Oh look, we aren't there yet. ...

This is terrible! In little over a day an entire family has been destroyed! Why was Martin fleeing, leaving behind his daughter? Why would a vigilante kill her and why did the mob go after him? All this is leaving us with is more questions and no answers. And a pile of dead townies. We can't afford to make a mistake today, we're losing this town fast! Something to consider ... Also worth considering. I don't know why anyone would have been against the Jacksons, they were chefs, it isn't like they should have had important information or been of some threat. Why did Mary think she was in danger? Could she have had an important role? It seems obvious she did end up being in danger, but not from the mob, from the vigilante, or a serial killer... Do we even know at this point? If they are loyal, I wish they'd be more careful like I said yesterday.

And according to me. If we want to play the past performance game, this situation has happened once before in a little story I heard called Baritones I. There was this lovely girl who came to town after her sister was killed. She arrived late, too late to do anything to save her sister, but along with her brother-in-law, a dashingly handsome former KGB agent and chef, they saved that town from the mob. We would be lucky to see another pair like that. So don't assume much from a late arrival, it's just as likely to be a good thing as a bad. As for the voting today... I'm sorry, Leanne, but you've made vague and veiled accusations based on no evidence except what I call "the rule of 3's", there are multiples of a profession, so one must be bad. It's lame, it never works, and thus it looks like a scum tactic to get several people killed easily. It looks very bad on the person doing it, either as scum or as a loyal townie who is causing distraction and confusion, and we don't need either of those. Vote: Leanne / Forresto They say we all live many lives and that what we learn in one is carried to the next until we finally get it right. If you aren't scum, you'll at least have learned something for your next reincarnation.
-
Exactly. Seriously, I thought we were looking for fact, not playing "if one of them wasn't bad, the other must be." Listen, you can't honestly expect that to work when most things in this town are divided into twos... married couples, gas station attendants, bank employees, cinema employees, politicians, kids even. The only thing we have 3 of are cops, and one could say we have 2 cops and a chief. Do we just kill one of each and hope? Then when that fails, do we kill the other? Talk about a quick way to lose this town... I don't think I'm going to be jumping to any more conclusions based on this kind of faulty logic, I intend to see what is discovered and try to use real evidence. We made our mistake on day 1, honest as it may have been, and it seems like the vigilante made the same mistake with Mrs. Jackson. We can't afford to keep making those mistakes, and at this point, we don't know a lot, but that is bound to change, and until then we can certainly watch for behaviours that are obvious, but activity level considering this is Christmas and people are busy and chosen occupation do not seem like good indicators right now. I do think that voting patterns are useful, but after only one day, it's hard to put much together from that.
-
*moves next to Samantha* Mind if I join you, for safety's sake, of course.
-
That makes good sense and might be all we have to work with today. The one lesson we might have learned is that the town vigilante needs to be more careful about who they suspect and kill, since at this point anything we do is guesswork and now it's cost us the life of a good woman.
-
I can't believe we were wrong about Susan, she seemed so shifty and I thought we had taken good advice in voting for her. They killed Mrs. Jackson with a sword??? I'm so sorry, Mary. Did they try to kill Mr. Right, too??? Is that possible? Why would they get to kill two people in a night? Something doesn't seem right here. Lois did. Funny timing. Not funny haha, either. Falzone? Well, it looks like you've arrived at a bad time, but we do need the help. Do you bring any knowledge or skills with you that might be helpful?

STAFF COMMENT! None of these belong in this topic. Questions about the game and how it is run belong here. Responding to out of character posts is as bad as making them, then responding to those with more off topic comment makes it worse. This day is long enough without things that don't belong here. ***

I want to grow up to be like you, one day, fighting the bad guys with the power of the law! I'm not sure kids get to vote, but if anyone should understand how these scum work and be able to spot them, it's the district attorney. Vote: Brickme / Susan Webb I hope this is the start of something good!
