  1. Yay! You finally managed to get the job done. I was getting kind of tired of riding that cross for days on end. Stick a fork in me, I'm done. As the vote has been completed, I'm locking the day so Draggy can come home from school and finish up without a lot of clutter like last time.
  2. And on that note... dead Ambassador walking! Day locked.
  3. I've made two of them very clear. It will be obvious to all but the blind. If you go back to day 1, you'll see that isn't true, or you would if you were looking at it objectively. And that is where you expose yourself to scrutiny. At this stage, no one is clearly innocent, yet you defend those two specifically. Pay attention people, the scum thrive on hidden alliances, but they often fail to hide them well and feel compelled to defend their allies. Now you're simply lying. I stated that those who instigated this vote and are so vehement in insisting on my death are dragons, and with good reason, only a dragon can be absolutely sure I'm loyal and would want me dead. A loyal citizen might wrongfully believe something, but they tend to have the good sense to at least doubt their suspicions. The dragons have no doubts, so they pound away at me, post after post, because they are certain. The voice in the sky agrees that what I am saying has been occurring (though he doesn't know what to do about it), you were present at the discussion, so stop playing that game, it's silly. As for my farewell speech, as you call it, it was completely related to current events in this game ... of life, and in no way referred to anyone in any way based on past 'games', so your point doesn't even exist. Excuse me? I used the only possible weapon to stop the sorcerer that the citizens voted to kill. One night, one approved kill. You just lied yet again. See the lies, people, see the deception coming from the Friar and deal with him when I am found loyal. Is that what your bible tells you, Friar? Fascinating.
  4. I'd like to remind a few of you that "silver tongued" and other such slurs are what is commonly called metagaming: an attempt to influence the vote in the current game ... of life ... based on a perception of events in former games ... of life. Basically, it's punishing good players for being good. People only do it when they are on opposite sides and have no legitimate argument against a player. It is considered cheating in mafia games (of life), and I'm tired of it (and will eventually be adding a forum rule about it). It's one thing to think, "I'm not sure I believe him, he's a good player," it's quite another to announce it to brainwash people into using past events that are unrelated to the game to judge the present situation. Every game is different. Every character is different. You only cheat yourself when you close your mind to the current situation by being stuck in the past. But, if you're going to play the metagaming card over and over, I'm going to take one shot at it before it's banned from the forum.. Loyal citizens! My 'team' never wins any game in which I die. NEVER. As a loyal citizen, if I die, the loyal citizens will lose. This has been the case in every game ... of life ... ever played. If you allow them to kill me, you will end up losing. Now carry on with your silver tongued nonsense. You're doing exactly what you've griped about others doing, and you're doing it a great deal of energy. You want me dead. You don't care about justice or helping this Alliance, you simply want me dead. It shows in rambling post after rambling post. Talk about someone who should simply shut her mouth, it is you, for every time you open it, you show your true motives to all who can see. Read what the King said very carefully. He is talking about the people of Matadoer, not Dromindur. We were not founded by the dragons, you were. The evil sorcerer lived under your noses, not ours. We have not given up magic, and he knows that, or a wizard of my standing wouldn't have been invited to participate in this Alliance. You are twisting his words. If you wish to use his words, however, notice that he says we should fight the enemy face to face. I did. I fought the sorcerer sent to destroy the Alliance and the kingdom face to face, and I am persecuted for it. Did you fight the enemy? You're the captain who allowed his men to be slaughtered. You are lying. You are nothing more than an overstuffed guard, you know nothing of the politics of this Alliance. As an Ambassador, I do. In the future, I would suggest you mind your own job and keep your guards alive, while those of us who are qualified deal with treaties and Alliances. Obviously name calling goes both ways, doesn't it Friar? I hold no ill will against anyone who sees their mistake and corrects it, but I will not forgive those who knowingly and willingly attempt to destroy this kingdom and Alliance, and I wouldn't expect anyone to. I disagreed with Lady Harcourt for defending her evil husband, but despite the fact that she lied repeatedly, I have not gone after her as you have me, for I realise that she was deceived. You aren't deceived, you know exactly what you're doing and why, and you will pay for it, whether you manage to have me murdered or not. The people will see the truth and bring justice to your door. Will you be ready to answer?
  5. All good questions, indeed. As a representative of the court, I say we should try to discover what has happened here and why. It seems obvious that there was some reason for me to be rendered unconscious, and personally, that's where I plan to start my investigation. While I'm searching the kitchen, I'd like to keep an eye open for the tea kettle and cup that were used for my tea in hopes that I can find some kind of residue to provide a clue as to the type of substance used.
  6. Oh good, it's almost over, isn't it? I can't imagine any remaining scum not wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to finish the job, so I'll be very interested in who casts that last vote. Of course, I can hope that the locals who haven't voted, and even those who realise their mistake in voting for me, will rally for the cause and stop this crime before it happens. I guess it's time to sit back and watch. Here we witness the truth. Pay close attention.
  7. Blah blah blah, indeed. Thank you for showing your true lack of concern for the Alliance, Rohipnol Rhodesia Rumplestiltskin Rhubella Reubenesque WHATEVER. Honestly, it's a lovely name... For a disease.
  8. Well, that wasn't at all pleasant. I drank my tea and then fainted. What the hell did you put in it, Florence? I'd like to search the kitchen for sleeping pills or some kind of poison. It isn't the first time she's been around such things...
  9. Speaking of magic users, would you like some of this tasty water? Oops, it's wine now!
  10. More than I'd like to remember. It bears repeating.
  11. Today, a crime has been committed, a murder. It was instigated by a small group who relied on mob mentality to succeed. They worked very carefully: planting the seed, watering it, watching it grow, bring it to fruit. They have managed a small success, they have now deprived the loyal citizens of much needed protection and paved the way for their own evil magician to run rampant over you. But all is not lost. Their victory came with a price, for it was hard to gather enough support for their cowardly actions without exposing themselves to future scrutiny. They will come to you tomorrow, crying and acting surprised that I was loyal. They will say they didn't know, they couldn't know, they only wish they could take it back, but they can't, and they don't mean a word of it. Do not fall for these lies. Those who instigated this crime should be brought to justice, and only the loyal citizens can do that. Read this day carefully. See who made ridiculous claims, contradicted logic, and relentlessly called for my execution. Remember that Simon the Librarian didn't seem overly concerned that the sorcerer was evil yesterday, nay, he didn't think anything of it at all and tried to speculate, despite his learning, that a sorcerer might be good and wizard might be bad. Remember that he called for my death early on, but then tried to hide for a while before finally revealing himself with his vote. Remember that Friar Francis whipped up his sermons for the same purpose, but was too cowardly to vote until he knew it was a certain thing. Watch him as he defends himself claiming that he isn't to blame, it's magic that's bad, not him. Except you will know that he lies, for I will be found loyal and serving the Alliance. He cares not for the Alliance, he cares for his own evil plans. Remember the others, the weak, the foolish, the easily led. They were taken down this road and will continue to be as the days progress. They will hurt the loyal citizens at every turn because they are unable to see the truth. And finally, remember my words, for they were the only truth you saw this day, and they are the only truth you have to go on tomorrow. I have served nobly and honestly, and I am proud of that. Some of you have seen the truth and not given in to the mob. I applaud you and hope you will have the strength to continue the good fight without me. Watch everyone. Read everything. Notice who works together and who works against the good. Deal with the scum. Oh, and Agnes, you don't want to see another guaranteed innocent dying? You're about to with my death. You chose poorly, you gave in to them. If you are simply a loyal fool, learn from this. If you're scum, I hope you rot in hell.
  12. Isn't it fascinating that we have no investigators to reveal any actual evidence? You know they would have investigated me, but they can't speak up for they fear the scum driven mob that attempts to kill me. Then people try to say they are voting based on evidence, yet there is none. Those people are openly lying and know they are. If you look at their words, you can see it too. Remember it. Bring them to justice. To do what? Protect you? Even Lady Harcourt, despite her loyalty to her evil husband, will have to admit that I did no harm to her, yet it is documented that we spent the night together. Do you sincerely believe that the loyal citizens are so foolish as to believe your false claims of danger? You are but a false profit and liar who will be remembered for your actions against this Alliance. My loyalty will be shown, one way or another.
  13. I was unable to leave my rooms to perform my night action (protect). I have no control over what the voice in the sky does with me otherwise, including my use as the executioner for the vote of the people. You know how this works, playing dumb to try to sway votes is a pathetic ploy. The King has an old prejudice that will eventually change. When I am shown to be loyal, the first step will be taken in proving that some magic is good, especially when it stops evil as it did last night. And remember, tomorrow is the day to look back and remember who chose what side, for my loyalty will shine a blinding light on the scum who convicted me. Which side will each of you be on? Why? What actual evidence is there? None. I have performed solely in the best interest of the Alliance by stopping an avowed enemy of all of us who are loyal. My death will not only NOT defeat the Dragons, it will strengthen them, and those of you who were a part of that will be remembered for causing it. Notice that it's the same few voices attacking me over and over. The majority of you know better, but you stay silent. This is not the time for silence, loyal citizens, the Alliance needs you, and as a defender of the Alliance, I need you. Please have courage enough to step forward. If you don't believe me, take a stand, but if you are uncertain, or you know that I am loyal, please don't send me to my death, I don't want to die and the Alliance can't afford another loss.
  14. Oh, then you'd better retract your votes everyone, since carrying out the agreed upon execution from yesterday has branded me a murderer. Which of you will be the next condemned by this idiotic 'logic'? Self defense? I carried out the wishes of the citizens of this castle as agreed upon yesterday. Well, the loyal citizens. Some of you didn't want the sorcerer killed because you thought he could be used against those of us who are loyal, but you failed in your attempts to defend him, and once it is revealed that I am loyal, you will fail in your attempts to defeat these people and the Alliance they are working to create. See the scum, kill the scum. Remember this, loyal citizens.
  15. You are correct, oh cloaked one, I will not repent for doing good works, and the voice in the sky showed that very clearly. Do not allow this false religious harlot to distract you from the job that we have all sworn to do in creating this Alliance, a job I have done to the best of my abilities and hope to continue to perform. Let us remember that scripture reveals many things, and even speaks to the religious leaders we think we can trust, but cannot. Matthew 7:15 Jesus said to his disciples: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves." In this case, the ravenous wolf hides under a cloak, like the killer in the night that the voice in the sky showed us, warned us against. Will you be his next victim? Vote: Francis the Friar / Svelte The last time I connected evil and the dragons, I was wrong, so I am being cautious. I knew the sorcerer was evil, and he was, and I stopped him. I expected him to be a dragon and he wasn't. I've been attacked for that, despite the good that came of it. Go figure. And when I am proven loyal, will you kill him next? Promise? Of course they could be scum, it presented itself as the perfect opportunity to cause discord and conflict. Look how well it's worked and by the end of the day, if it kills me, it will have cost the loyal citizens a powerful part of their force. By your logic, if I was a dragon and the sorcerer was against the alliance, we would have been working together, not against one another. As for his defenders, I don't mean the ones who just seemed foolish, I mean the ones who blatantly ignore the very definition of sorcerer (using evil spirits) and tried to make it seem innocent, yet now oppose me for using magic. Big difference and one to be carefully considered.
  16. I'm going to say this very clearly for all to hear. I am loyal to this Alliance. It's really that simple. I want to see the Alliance succeed and I have worked towards that purpose. Yes, I am a magic user. Yes, the King is still misguided to believe that all magic users are evil, but it's understandable given the history of the kingdom. In time, you will become enlightened and get past this prejudice. If I was an evil wizard, would I have been openly shown stopping the sorcerer? No, I would not. The voice in the sky chose to openly show me using magic for good purposes because he expected you to be wise enough to see that my intent was good. Have you see the face of the assassin? Of course not, because they are protected in a cloak of anonymity so as not to reveal their scummy nature. I am out in the open and doing what I do for the good of all. Those who continue to ignore the truth are surely scum or dangerously stupid. Do not listen to them in the days to come for they will continue to mislead you, just as they try to accuse me of doing. My loyalty, sadly, looks to be proven shortly, but at least you will know the truth. Use it to clean up the kingdom. Do not let them succeed. Pay close attention to those who tried to defend the sorcerer and those who attack me, either in votes or words. They are the evil in this castle, the evil you must stop before it overcomes you.
  17. It's funny you should mention that, we're working on something right now!
  18. Your title confused me until I saw the picture of your 'seals'. What you mean is 'sails', and here is a topic about cleaning them. I'll merge this into that a little later.
  19. I'm glad you pointed that out, it does seem to fit. I appreciate that, I really do. I didn't, actually, I chose another Lady but never reached her as I was blocked from leaving my quarters last night. I still don't really understand what happened, but ultimately I never saw anyone.
  20. Poor Sorcerer. Shall I remind you that he was "a powerful Ankorian Sorcerer sent here by his Ankorian masters to sabotage our efforts to reunite as one stable land." Same goal as the Dragons. If I was one, I would have worked with him, not against him. I knew that the scum would manipulate the loyal citizens to go after me as soon as it was declared that the evil sorcerer was 'neutral' (which is purely idiotic) and I am not going to spend day after day fighting the same lies and nonsense over and over. The scum want me dead and are doing a good job of it. I can offer nothing but what I know, and I will not cheat (quote the voice in the sky) to prove that. I hope your name is at the top of that plaque. It should be amusing to see you try to scramble out of your guilt if I am murdered, for I will be found to be loyal and I will expect the loyal citizens to see you for what you and your supporters are and deal with you accordingly. Save the voting record, loyal citizens, it reveals the scum and the stupid. Both are a threat to the peace we are trying to create here.
  21. I was informed by the voice in the sky that I should expect to encounter a Sorcerer who was working to destroy the Alliance. I made the natural assumption that he was a Dragon, since I believed (as I think we all did), that only the Dragons were trying to kill us. It seems that was wrong and I won't deny it, but I'm still pleased to see a threat to the Alliance stopped before it had a chance to kill any of the loyal Citizens and I am more than a bit surprised to see people so willing to try to kill me for it, but I guess they have their own allegiances to contend with. It isn't my smooth tongue that is leading them to destruction. Remember the names of those who were so quick to condemn me. I am absolutely loyal and that will be shown if they convince you to murder me. Don't let that death be wasted, learn from the mistake, see who led you down that path and avenge me.
  22. Poor Gilbert... As for the rest of you, I'm either surrounded by scum, revealing themselves early in the day to attempt to influence the vote quickly, or a group of fools who will later be defending their own lives when it is proven that I am loyal. Let's look at them one by one. I am on the side of the treaty and the alliance, as I stopped the sorcerer sent to sabotage it. How about you? Maybe you killed poor Gilbert. The one thing we know for certain is that I was a little busy stopping evil at that time and didn't do it. Who else can say that? I was not lying. I was told that he was evil and a threat to the alliance, and that has been confirmed. I believed that meant that he was a Dragon and am surprised that he wasn't, but as you have just seen, he was specifically sent to stop the alliance and I prevented that. Further, I wasn't the one who chose to reveal all of this, it was his wife who later defended him and declared his innocence. While I don't know if she was deceived or scum, she's certainly a lot more suspicious than I am, yet you go after me. Consider that duly noted. Except a review of day 1 shows very clearly that it was the sorcerer who attacked me. It was his wife who revealed his identity. At that point, I was duty bound to stop him and save the alliance as I was informed before this situation began. I was told that the sorcerer was evil and that has been confirmed. I did what needed to be done to stop him. I have no reason to deny it, I am loyal and a wizard. I believe there may be another who uses magic, the hooded character who appeared and then left quickly last night. If I am right about that, you leave yourselves defenseless against him if you kill me. At this point, I have no way of knowing. Yay! You can't condemn someone on speculation, but you can vote for someone who has stopped a real threat to the alliance. Fascinating. As documented, I went after someone sent to destroy the alliance. I was told he was evil and he was, and he is dead now. I thought that evil meant he had to be a dragon, which was my only mistake. Would you prefer that he was alive to destroy the alliance? You should be rejoicing, yet you are attempting to kill me. As I said, scum or fools. Make note of these names, loyal citizens, some of them will come back to haunt you, either by intentionally destroying the alliance or by allowing it to happen through stupidity. An interesting point, but at this stage I have seen nothing specific to make me doubt my fellow Ambassador. Still, it's worth bearing in mind. To make one further point... if you're going to claim that I lied about things, at least spell it out, make a list, bring your claims to the table so they can be heard. Saying "he lied!" is a weak move and simply designed to plant a false idea in the heads of those who hear it. Yesterday, I heard cries of "he's lying!" when I said I spent the night at Lady Harcourts, and that was shown to be true at the end of the day. You call my believing that the evil sorcerer sent to stop the alliance was a dragon a lie, I call it an honest mistake that anyone in my position would make after being told that. Doesn't change what he was and what had to be done, but it shows that I want to save the alliance, and that makes me loyal. I think it's insanity to consider someone sent to stop the alliance and murder everyone 'neutral' anyway. Don't you?
  23. Will do, as soon as I can find it. I collect them, though not as prolifically as Ash yet. I'm always looking for parts though and will gladly accept PM'd offers. He's been a good seller who I've had solid experiences with so far. That said, he just jacked his prices on a lot of parts, so I'm glad I picked up most of his rare stuff already.
  24. And then I took over running it. Maybe you should take over MC2? Nah, no point beating you up more than you'll beat yourself up, and yes, I think there is going to be a lot of discussion about this game when it's over. A LOT. *stares at Draggy*
  25. I didn't say you were, I just said it was the middle of the day, assface.
