What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Clearly the Evicerator not just because of the better part availability and taht beautiful stand. The design of the monarch is great too no doubt, but the fact that it needs 3 stands as a display[sic!] model is a no go for me.

Thank you @MAVERICK26 @freddiegucci, those are stickers from the 10188 Death star, had some spare stickers after building "the agressor" and as the Razor Crest is an imperial vessle i thought they are the way to go. -

Hello there! i haven´t changed anything yet, maybe i´ll find some time during winter. Some small details of the cockpit roof and a little less gaps in the back covers would be nice. Still waiting for Baby Yoda and a Beskar Mando but i think Lego will produce one or more sets soon. The latest shots of the Razor Crest can be found here: Flickr Album Best regards MC -

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I also used a rigide hose on the backside. The green Part is Part Nr. 11476 as is not available in LDD. You will need a bunch of 4081. Hope the picture makes it easier for you. -

Hello @baciccia78, yes i have considered the Slave One Windscreen - i have the Slave one and did some tests with it. the shape is good no question. My conclution was: overall a little bit to big for that scale multiple stickers would be needed on both ends. Front and top. And also the stripes. less space inside, in the front area for the cockpit decoration visible gaps in the front section due to the different angles. -

Hi @WickNole thanks fpr stopping by! Your Razor looks very good so far. The cockpitsection locks very smooth. I just have one thing that triggers me a bit, the tail. Your frontsection seems to be 8Studs wide, your tail is 10studs wide and maybe one or 2Studs too wide. But nevertheless i´m really looking forward to see your final result and the rest of the ship!! -

Thank you, but i´m not sure if this building technique would work on such a big area like the razor crest cockpit. Might look nervous then. Thank you too @baciccia78 i also use Stud.io, but for some reason i like the "click" sound in LDD as feedback from the programm. But you are right Building Instruction wise, that stud.io is much better. A picture with @mcphatty superb micro! Minifigs still missing -

"Reverse engineering" Razor Crest MOC
Midlife-crisis replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all for your great feedback, much appreciated. @mcphatty, i´m looking forward to see your micro Razor Crest. Glad my reference "research" was helpful for you. I´m not going to make instructions or sell them, i think this will cause other "reverse engineerings" and in the end we will get even better models of this ship. Similar to the Star Destroyers or Venators, each iteration improves the models. -

Got the missing parts today. I´m not 100% happy with some of the back panels, might rework a few them but overall i´m very satisfied with the result. -

The missing parts are shipped today (Lego.com - Germany), i should get them in the next 3-4working days. I have also closed my (littl) bricklink store, because we have a "exit lock" in Austria. AUD tanked hard yesterday, but every currency did against USD. Wish you all good luck and a healty 2020! -

Thank you all for your great feedback. I also would not consider my cockpit to be "the" perfect solution - but to me it looks better then some alternatives. I´m still waiting for some smaller orders. Don´t know when i get them considering the current situation, and it makes no sense to work on the lower backpanels, as long as other areas aren´t finished. The estimated price for now is around 450€-500€ for the bricks. Minifigs not included . -

Good evening, i have fever, (no, not Covid-19) but i need a break… Made another iteration on the landinggear as - different angle, shorter axle, connected within the bottom structure. Some covers are not finished yet, maybe next week when i feel better. YES the Razor Crest can stand without bending and trans-clear bricks on the landing gear. The cockpit is also finished, i hope you like my approach. Partcount around 4700parts. It will be around 5K in the end. Will provide good quality pictures when the whole thing is finished. -
Holy moly! The good thing with google feedback is - we can edit it, after he stopped this awful practice.

Midlife-crisis replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
thank you! My solution isn´t perfect for sure, but it should look better than hinges. The needed parts are ordered. Worked on the engines today, nearly finished. ~800parts per engine and they are heavy! Will need some additional support within the structure to prevent bending. Will start now with the surrounding panels. -

so you think the difference is still to small? Will look again at the reference material, anyway your objection is much appreciated! Started with the cockpit-section today, have to admit, i have goosebumps. Better pictures will follow, i promise :) Some parts will be LBG in the end - but i have the wedges only in DBG. -
this is the way! I have left my feedback.

Good evening @gotoAndLego, i have reduced the width of the front wings during the different iterations. But i´m not sure if you are talking about the upper covers or the main body below the wings? Here is a picture: -
Nothing new. he also has a Bricklink Shop. Edit: may sound rude to you anio, wasn´t meant to be. Ledako had some ebay listenings as well as Amazon, those companies give a s*** about it. Reportet him several times.

excellent work! Looking forward to see the physical build. -
"Reverse engineering" Razor Crest MOC
Midlife-crisis replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
thank you very much @Brick-Wombat! Weight will be an issue for sure - the landing gear isn´t detachable - it is connected with the lower and upperside of the wall multiple times. Changes are possible - i thought about another angle of the technic connectors as well as the shorter axle and the use of a 15654 instead of 62462. This should reduce the leverage on the landing gear. But i have no idea yet if it is enough. Also possible would be to add a layer rubber surface on the landing gear to prevent sliding sideways under the weight. Still waiting for necessary (invisible) engine parts. Each engine consists of ~750parts in finished condition. The engine on the picture has nearly 400gram weight. It is an early version and after i have a stable mounting solution i will add some textures - there is a really nice shot of the engines during landing, with visible flaps. -

Started with the building process, stability is surprisingly good at the moment. Axles seems to hold right now. An option would be to use shorter axles - it would reduce the leverage of the landing gear.
