  1. Nope. I was wearing nothing. Honestly, I was playing a just a streaker. I also played someone who came on wearing a specially knitted form fitting sock that was not meant to wear on my feet. It was one of those university/college things. Three weeks of it; we even toured! It is the only show I did that my Mum refused to go to; no idea why, it's not like she hadn't seen it before!
  2. I love it. *wub* It is just what I wanted. Additionally, I don't have a good Luke (or a AT-AT) yet so it is all good for me. I did buy 2 of the Dark Side development kits (100 USD retail, I paid 20 AUD for them!) but they were too spindly for my liking. (The micro scout sux too.) This looks like a beefed up version of that. All I have to do now is wait for the Australian price... I strongly doubt that it is only $50 USD. That is the price of the Hyperspace ring and that has only two figures and no motors. I would guess at least $75, if not $100, but I hope I am wrong.
  3. Yes. The worst part is waiting in the wings for your cue trying to act like you aren't doing anything unusual.
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks. Welcome to our community here!
  5. Thanks very much for that review. I downloaded the instructions last week and I was largely impressed with what was in it. However, like Holodoc, I am waiting for the Bulldozer. I might have to settle with the dino though if Lego charge Australian some absurd price... EDIT: I just watched the videos. Thanks! They are great. The dino is better than I thought...
  6. MOC like Sock, and I tend to actually say "Adult Fan of LEGO". Remember though that while I have freinds who buy Lego, they are Star Wars fans who like Lego, when I am a Lego fan who like Star Wars. Thus we don't talk about Lego, or MOCs that much. It is my wife who bears the brunt of that...
  7. You've been there too eh? Bit cold but it sure killed some time over the weekend.
  8. Thanks for posting those. In my youth I did a lot of theatre but the only way I was paid was with free grog! The last time I was on stage I was naked playing a streaker. (Sorry, no photos!)
  9. I picked Imperial Trading Post, but it was close.
  10. I *wub* the entry by *vader*. That is one excellent rancor. I would make an entry but I don't have any gungans. I do plan to buy at least one though so I can roll my MTT over it.
  11. Nah, I wouldn't worry about that; my biggest sin is Envy.... of people with more Lego than me!
  12. True, but that would leave it with only me knowing for sure what I meant. Now we all know what I meant... I think. Incidentally, back on topic. I agree with the idea of why you think this is a good idea (that is to get to know people better), but I am just not convinced it would work well. All you need is one trouble maker to say the wrong thing and... However, it is obviously not my decision; who does decide these things? Yay! I'm home at last! :-D
  13. Just to clarify, no I was not being mean or sarcastic. I was just being silly. *wacko* Even so, sorry if I annoyed you. After hinckley39s comment it seemed appropiate, but maybe it wasn't considering the topic.
  14. Yes, at last it has become clear to you. This entire universe was created, just for your amusment, just so you could grow to be the person you are today. Now you have seen though this, it is time for you to leave the cradle, and ascend to take you place with the others. My purpose is now complete and I face the void willingly as I know I have helped to create a perfect being.
  15. What do you define as cheating? Why on earth not? :-( Does this mean zero technic parts? Does this include Bionicle? Why? And err... why? Technic is Lego and many Technic parts, such as the beams, pins and axels, have been around for years. So you would prefer I use the Dino Attack dinosaurs over a custom one that included technic parts? Please clarify.
  16. I agree with Starwars4J. The other day I was stupid and almost got into an argument over what is better; PC or Mac. http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...ndpost&p=171832 As many would know, Mac fanboys never change their mind with mere arguments (and I suppose the opposite is true also :-$ ) and I have had many on-line arguments in the past and they rarely end in a good way. I have never seen a "conversion" either. To many people their computer choice is an important defining decision. Thus I did the smart thing; apoligised and dropped the subject. I think this site should avoid like the plague a dedicated area to encourage debates on topics that are personal to them. Discussions like this have happened here a few times recently by accident. (No links this time!) There is no need to encourage more. I can't see people agreeing to not be offended making any difference. It's like asking someone "Can I ask you something and please promise me you won't be annoyed?" People can't be sure what will offend them until they are confronted by it. Additionally, it is possible that people might find out someones beliefs are very different to their own, and it is hard to forget such things.
  17. I'd buy it for parts, but as a set it is a bit lacking. However, many of the smaller sets that Lego released at the time were similar to this so I think it is unfair to judge it by todays standards. Lego is much better value today, even taking into consideration quaility. EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to say thanks for the review!
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks Lion. Yep, I know him. (Old school buddy, ahh that takes me back.) Are you going to buy him? http://shop.lego.com/Product/Default.aspx?p=7661 For us poor Australians the price is looney, but it seems OK for Germans.
  19. I think you have mis-interpretted me. I was referring to Lego stores., which to my knowledge don't exist in Australia.... or am I wrong. There actually are severals stores with 7945 in my area. I live in Hobart, where annoyingly there are no TRU stores at all.
  20. Consider yourself lucky; the nearest Lego store for me is several hours away.... in a plane! :-(
  21. Ooops! :-$ On second read you were pretty darn clear. I have no idea how I read it wrong the first time! :-| Booo to me!
  22. Thanks. :-P I look forward to it. I agree. The walrus does have a certain charm about him. It certainly can't be me. I was considering using a custom fig when I picked my sig fig, but I noticed that no one (even you) had a Fabuland figure. At around that time I had developed an odd fixation with him so I suppose it was destiny!
  23. Wacker Sinner the Walrus Wackee Captaintau Weapon Collapsible Anchor After assisting Copmike to give hinckley39 a well deserved wedgie (remember, he did hit him on the head with a hammer, a vintage Fabuland Hammer no less), Sinner goes home with his prize; the fabled ice cube tray. He arrives on his ship with thoughts of muffins and root beer (with Lego ice cubes) on his mind, and is surprised to find Captaintau attempting to steal his ship. Quick-as-a-walrus he pulls a collapsible anchor out of his pocket and gives him a good whack! Photos moved to Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/10106199@N06/
  24. I would have too. One of the many reasons why I think this list is silly.
  25. Not at all. Last time they made the products, such as the software, in house. The new furniture is being made by another company, and Lego is just taking the profits. Very low risk for Lego.
