Welcome to Eurobricks! Don't worry about your English you seem clear enough to me; many native speakers are harder to understand out of sheer lazyness!
-
I don't do customs either. My attitude is if you customise pieces it is no longer Lego and you might as well be a kit basher, which is a completely different hobby. Actually I was only joking. Shop at home is generally written S@H anyway. ... and welcome to Eurobricks!

More mini-fig suffering! Is this a sign of depression over Brickshelf, or has it always been like this?!
-
Welcome to Eurobricks. Nice army. Aren't shakos supposed to be rare and expensive these days? There was even a discussion recently about having some custom made. Does "sah" refer to "Shop At Home"?!

Community Project: Retrieval of "Lost Images"
Siegfried replied to Berry Syedow's topic in Community
Darn. You were obviously doing too good a job. I am downloading a lot as well. I hope I don't get banned... -
Finished 22. I can do another one (or two) if you want.

Review: 7786 Batman - Batcopter: The Chase for the Scarecrow
Siegfried replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
That is insane! *wacko* 450 and 500! Indeed; you should just buy the tank. Comparing the price of the Tank to the Batwing you seem to be getting quite a good deal there. Both are over priced for Australians and the Tank is twice the price of the copter. (They are 60 AUD and 120 AUD.) I am still not sure if I will buy either... :'-( -
Problems with BS / Is BrickShelf no more ???
Siegfried replied to john cleese's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I am not sure if you are serious or not, but that is how I see it. He has provided an excellent service for years at no cost and I am thankful for that. *wub* A reason would be nice, but I suppose he is just that type of guy. :'-( -
Excellent! :-D This should be front paged. Will the winner get that ice cube tray, I mean, the actual one you *wub* *wub* *wub* used? I hope so.

Exactly. I think there are enough options for a while.

Review: 7786 Batman - Batcopter: The Chase for the Scarecrow
Siegfried replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I thought you would like it! I am pleased to say that I didn't know that "the jig is up!" was also a common line. Most of what I remember about the old Batman TV show actually comes from the movie as I own that. (Mum bought it for me.) I tend to put in on if I have friends over and I am drunk enough. I like the darker side of Batman only, and thus anything that is against the idea that Batman is as big a loon as the guys that he hauls in I don't like. Joel schumaker's movies fall well within that category. Santa brings presents here. In the middle of summer, in full winter rig. He is a hero. At least he can come down chimneys here without being burnt :-P ! But I am not too badly done by. I should be buying some more (non-Licensed) Lego goodness tomorrow... -
Lego Star Wars becoming more and more "Exclusive"
Siegfried replied to cody's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You are getting a bit worked up over nothing. The golden C3P0 is only a chromed bit of plastic, and ultimately Lego is a business out to make money. I would prefer that Lego keep doing what they are doing now than go bankrupt. (Or worse, be bought out.) If this is what keeps them in business then I don't mind it too much. I may get annoyed with Lego changing Australia twice the USD price, but I simply buy the sets that are a good deal, and many are these days. In the 80s Lego was soooo expensive. (As for the "harsh cruel world", your life can't be that bad. You have access to the internet. You obviously have some Lego. *wub* Life could be a lot worse. My advise for you is to get some perspective. I love my life and all of its blessings. *wub* ) -
No. I meant what I said, otherwise I would have edited it! ;-) Ultimately we are all on the internet, and we all are united by our love of Lego *wub* so yes, I think we are one community... or so the plan goes. Personally I think an aggregator is a better solution to the problem. Either something like ILENN or something software based. The cost of running a server for everyone would be expensive, and I thus don't blame Kevin for closing Brickshelf. (I do blame him for his lack of communication, but I suspect there is more to the story that I/we know.) For the time being I will be using Flickr, but I will be eagerly awaiting BrickImage. If you feel so strongly about this and think I/we am/are being negative nancies I recomend you do something yourself.

I largely agree with you Norrington. There are many sites that can be used, the community just needs to pick one. The only part that I don't agree with is your attitude to Maj.com. Until Kevin makes a statement on his intentions I wouldn't trust any site of his. I think you are underestimating the expense and difficulty of what you propose Cody. Even downloading the entire archive in two weeks will be difficult. I have personally downloaded about 1 GB so far. I thnik that long term a clear successor to Brickshelf might emerge, but I doubt that it will happen this year. I do hope I am wrong though.

Review: 7786 Batman - Batcopter: The Chase for the Scarecrow
Siegfried replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
That was a great review with loads of excellent pictures. The set is better than I thought. I want to buy one of the new sets as I would love a blue Batman, but they are so expensive for Australians. I love the new pumpkin heads. The story involved more mini-fig cruelty; excellent! I also liked the scarecrow/crow joke. :-D (One request; please don't say lines like "To the Batcopter" next time. That is the old TV series and I hated that. >:-) Feel free to tell me to stick my request up my M#g@Bl*cks.) -
That is great news.

I volunteer for a row, any row.

Anyone know what accounts are "owned" by dead people? These accounts should be backed up ASAP. I am saving all that I can, but two weeks isn't long enough.

MOCpages to offer (free) image hosting
Siegfried replied to Hobbes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Perhaps someone should start a poll to help us determine what to pick. Currently I am using Flickr, but I would be happy to change if it was clear I was in the minority. I would prefer to use the most common one, but if MOCpages is already threatening to stop external links then maybe it isn't the best choice. -
I've given up. If I enter this I will be using my Dino Attack T-Rex. Seems the less stressful option to me.
-
Cool! I never thought to use the Wayback machine on Lego.com....

Well, assuming Hobbes is right, that is pretty M$g!Bl@cky rude. I understand very well what Technic is since I have been using it before it was even called Technic. You are the one who seems to be confusing Bionicle and Technic, which are two very different things. Bionicle started out being a Technic offshoot, but today, regardless of ancestry, is little to do with it at all, and is no more Technic than Exo-Force is. Especially since most of the sets from the last two years have zero gears. I hope you understand my confusion now. Please be more clear. Do you wish to ban Bionicle dinosaurs and nothing else? Do be aware that many of the bionicle parts (not to mention Technic parts) are now included in Exo-Force and Vikings sets...

Currently I am going through my bookmarks and downloading photos. I will add more if I find anything that I think is special. RalphS Military aircraft Another; Nabii, creator of Gothica

The main one that I want is the RGS. I am considering giving up soon and making one from spare parts! In addition; Sith Infiltrator - Yes, I know there is a new one, but I still don't like it! T-16 Skyhopper - I want to shoot wamp rats! Cloud Pod Car - I actually didn't mind the last design so I would be happy with a re-release.
