  1. Hey thats cool, and I don't even like Harry Potter. Love the light too; is this done with the Exo-Force bricks or something else?
  2. That is incredible. (Even ignoring the fact that I don't think I have ever seen so much brown at once. Most of my brown in in my MTT...) I like the tracks-in-the-mud effect. I almost didn't click as I don't like using Flickr much. You really should add at least one pic...
  3. Freeky! (But still good!)
  4. I am with you there. I also want gears... EDIT: I forgot to mention, eventually I did find a use for my spare race buggy motor; I built a pneumatic pump around it and it actually works quite well.
  5. So, are they going to send one? (I won't cry too much if the prize is lost...)
  6. Actually, I like it. I own the Galidor girl and I have fun swapping parts with Exo-Force mechs and the Dino Attack dinosaurs. I look forward to this upcoming story...
  7. Sounds fair to me.
  8. I was simply refering to how Brickshelf was back for backup purposes. Kevin has the right to close down his site all he wants, but to not give people time to download stuff was plain mean. I have no idea if EB user Kevin is "Kevin". Is he?
  9. ...and that was all I expected! Thanks very much Kevin. *wub* *wub* *wub* I hope the servers survive the traffic surge..
  10. Hey, don't blame me. I did say... What did you get? "WalrusShelf.com" has a certain ring to it...
  11. I think more bouncing. I am intending to write my own Peer-to-Peer program and this could be a good application, but I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. This isn't going to happen tomorrow, and probably not even this year, so it certianly isn't the solution to the current problem. Darn. I forgot that. :'-( I just had a quick browse and noticed that most reviews are missing pictures now. Silly me assumed that admins had a lot of local server space and stored them here...
  12. No one knows... :'-(
  13. I can't see it being a problem. There are at least two entries missing at the moment due to Brickshelfgate. Personally I think the deadline should change back to what it was, all things considered.
  14. Excellent! *wub* Even if there were other entries I bet you would have won anyway! Welcome to Eurobricks.
  15. You make some fair points; Well, I liked the stablisers and the steering, and the boom was in three parts (even though much of the length is wasted) and I thought the transmission was well designed. Arguably true. It needs at least another two cylinders. I agree here completely. I have tried to integrate one in the crane to propell it, but I can't find a way to do it neatly. (I have two as mine had gear problems and Lego sent 2 replacements.) I have tried to use it in other MOCs but it is just too oddly shaped. I look forward to the new more compact motors. I agree here as well. I didn't bother making the alt model. Isn't this the first time a transmission has been used to allow one motor to act as two? Eitherway, I do largely agree. I don't like the fairings much either, and I definently agree that the older sets had less parts and more functions. I blame studless designs as many of the parts are just pins. I think overall I am biased as I love cranes. Thanks very much for taking the time to tell me your opinions.
  16. Neither am I. I know near nothing about web site scripting. I do know a bit about network protocols and I have even created my own. Thus the only solution that I could even attempt to offer would be an application... and I am seriously considering looking into it. I have been wanting to experiment with Peer-to-Peer protocols for a while. I hope you are wrong, but the signs indercate you are not. :'-( Darn.
  17. Well I bought both and I still look forward to new Technic! I loved the crane (I conceed that the pneumatics are too weak but it isn't a real crane anyway!) and while I bought the Tow Truck for parts, I liked it more than I thought I would and breaking is was harder than planned. My biggest whinge about Technic these days is I wish Lego would ditch Ferrari and just release a new multi-geared car with full suspension. As a programmer NXT doesn't appeal to me much either as I spend enough time programming as it is! What didn't you like about the crane?
  18. I think this is the best plan. This would enable people to use any host they want, yet everything would be just as findable. I have been giving this some thought lately as I am a computer programmer. However, please don't get me wrong; I am not a miracle worker and I do not have the ability to produce this magical Peer-to-Peer index out of my M$g!Bl&cks overnight. I do however think unless BrickShelf is bought and controlled by someone else, some one who keeps in contact with the community and seems to care, this might be the only solution that people will be able to trust now.
  19. I'm with you. Please everyone, don't burn any bridges that can't be rebuilt. We can't let Brickshelf apparent death turn us against one another.
  20. What the M%gaBl$cks! >:-( You were banned over that! Sad to say this incident is not bringing out the best in the Lego community. I do agree with this Troy to a point, that is that some were being overly offensive to Kevin, but one has to understand that people are understandibly annoyed and calling people "whiney vultures" is not going to stop that. This has been handled very badly by Kevin and if he expected people to not be annoyed and even angry at losing access to ten years of work from the Lego community he must live on another planet. An explanation would have made a huge difference, and the closing of the https backdoor last night (last night for me anyway) proved that this is not a technical issue, this is a either a time or financial issue, both of which the Lego community would have been prepared to offer if he asked. Look at the example of Peeron a few months ago; they needed a new server, asked, and got one. Hopefully this will all calm down and things will get back to normal. It is hard to believe though.
  21. Wow! This may sound silly, but this range is exciting! I am very curious about the Supermarket.
