This is good work! You have a right to be proud of what you have done.

Welcome aboard, Eve. See you in the forums...

Thanks for the badge. Now that I'm "older than dirt", do I have to start using words like "spiffy" and "keen"... or will "groovy" and "far-out" suffice?

I'd like to go with Murdoch on this one and hope it was just a fluke... But its happened on four different browser platforms on 2 out of 3 major operating systems. This just might be a glitch in the board's software.

59 and counting. I didn't have LEGO when I was a kid, but did have dirt! I also remember discovering dirt as a toy. It was the greatest stuff to come along since I discovered my toes.

No. I use Firefox on Windows 7. The problem first showed up when sending a PM. Since then I always skip the fancy code stuff and just use the simple editor. It works for me.
-
That happened to me a while back. What caused it?... At some point during the review/edit/review process I had used the "full editor" option. Then when I had saved my post it displayed not only my words, but all the coding as well. My solution?... I just don't use the full editor any more.

Again... What he said!!

LEGO Toys"R"Us Bricktober Minifigure Collections 2016
Rotundus replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't know about that... They kind of resemble an aging Fleetwood Mac. -
I've used Sharpie branded permanent markers in the past. Black matches up real nice, red does as well... silver looks pretty good, too. I haven't had the need to try the other colors yet.

[MOC] Rockie - A rock guitarist that can move to the music!

THIS is cool! Great work, good luck. -
What he said!!! I already had a vast majority of the dark blue gray parts I needed in hand when I built an MOC of a GP-30 not long back and still spent in excess of $200 on parts... And I thought that LEGO would be cheaper than HO.

Congratulations on a well built model! Tony's instructions really make easy to build a quality locomotive that will run well on any tack (even LEGO's). If you would like to give your creation that little extra POP, I suggest getting stickers, (and maybe even side rods) from our own Zephyr1934. Here is the link to his BrickLink page for the stickers... http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=zephyr#/shop?o={%22catID%22:%22160%22,%22itemStatus%22:%22U%22} The stickers are about 2/3 of the way down the page. You can find his side rods here... http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=zephyr#/shop?o={%22catID%22:%22124%22,%22itemStatus%22:%22U%22} again about 2/3 of the down the page. Club cars are cool! I make good use of them when I travel. If you wish to make a period correct consist for your train I recommend the following site... http://spdaylight.net/Consist.html It has been quite useful for me. Good work!

Who says TLG isn't mindful of it's target market... According to the American Medical Association Minifigs are a perfectly proportioned representation of modern day Americans. ! (I am 5'6" and 220lbs, so I am knowledgeable on the subject and qualified to comment )

6 or 7 wide works out to about 1stud = 1 foot... A scale that is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine for many MOC projects.

Welcome to the Forums, Greg. With a name like Alucard, (I may be showing my age a little here, but, I just have to ask...) Are you a fan of Gentle Giant by any chance?

Hello Hip. Happy bricking!

I'd like to nominate OOO Shiny! http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=OOO_Shiny#/splash and The Captain Q Bazaar http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=QCHUCKA#/splash Although both of these merchants run somewhat smaller stores, they exhibit very high business standards and ethical values. OOO Shiny! has very good shipping policies, (free for US orders over $8.00us). International orders receive a pretty fair discount for the shipping costs as well. And with a very small minimum purchase just $1.50us, Shiny! has earned a rating of "Most Worthy" and a lot of my repeat business. Captain Q is one of the genuine "Good Guys" in the brick business. He even let me pick one of my orders up in person when I just had to have it the next day (200 miles round trip). Capt. Q also runs a loyalty program that is second to none. A "Most Worthy" status winner for sure! Both sellers have exceptional customer service practices with quick invoicing and VERY fast turn around shipping wise. In fact if you think you will need to hold the order open, you should let them know in the order comment section of the purchase agreement.

New part idea 1x1 grille brick

The other way around wouldn't so bad either. -
I like the name. Welcome aboard!

I just saw "Nine Lives" today. Cute movie. Good clean fun for all... Although Christopher Walken's dance sequence was way too short.

Google Translate has left me slightly confused... But I think it will be ok. Iron Paw is being translated as Eisen Paw, and Steel Claw was turned into Stahlkralle. (At least for me.) I think Eisen Paw is going to win this. I like how it rolls off the tongue.

Ah, there's nothing like a Gothic romance. Nice vision and good execution.
