For my first modular building, should I get the Pet Shop or the Parisian Restaurant? Pet shop is going to become unavailable on the primary market sooner, but is it skippable?
What are some of your favorite minifigs for town scenes that aren't from the Collectible Minifigures line? Bonus points for figs that have an obvious profession (that isn't firefighter or police officer )
I'm pretty new to bricklink. Is there a way to find "bulk lots", or by "bulk" do you just mean ordering lots of figs from the same shop to save on shipping?
My Lego collection is assembled from a bunch of my old sets from when I was a kid, some Classic creative boxes, and some mixed used lots that I bought locally. These all have one thing in common: very few minifigures!
I build mostly Space, Town, and Fantasy/Castle MOCs. Is there any inexpensive way to assemble a bunch of minis for populating MOC layouts if I'm not too picky about getting specific figures?
This is great! It looks like it could be a promotional photo for Pan Am sometime in the early sixties. The minifigures are so animated! It gives the scene a lot of life.
Can you tell a little about the technique you used on the wall of slanted windows? How is it supported?
I'm thinking of picking up a Power Miners set. I love the color scheme and the chunky builds. I'm most interested in
8708-1: Cave Crusher
8960-1: Thunder Driller
I'm the type to build a set once and then break it down into my MOC supply. Given that these are discontinued sets, what's going to give me the most useful parts for the price? Is there another good set that I'm overlooking?
Dang it TLG, I started buying Mixels to get parts for MOCs, but once I put them together they're too cute to disassemble. This is clearly a plot to get me to buy two of each.
Here's the first little Lego spaceship I've built in about 20 years. It's pretty simple but I'm pleased with how it came out.
Any critique would be appreciated!
I'm interested in building mecha and ship MOCs. I have a bunch of basic blocks and a few partial Star Wars kits that I got in a large lot.
I'd like to supplement my collection with more parts suitable for bots and starships. What current (or inexpensive recent) sets should I be looking at? Theme is not important, just sets with a high ratio of unusual parts to standard bricks.
I'm in New York on business but I managed to get over to the 5th Avenue store and get a small PAB cup and a few Mixels. (I would have done a full cup but I travel fairly light and don't have much free space in my luggage. Mostly grabbed a bunch of sand green bits with a few other bricks and slopes in colors I'm short on. My cup was so full that the lid barely fit but the clerk didn't bat an eye, and in fact helped me out by taping it on. :-)
Here's the lot:
Hello, Eurobricks. New member here. I was an avid LEGO builder as a boy but I lost track of the hobby for many years until my daughter got old enough to start playing with Duplo and then LEGO Classic sets. I've only been back to building for about a month now, but I've finally come up with something that I'm happy enough with to share. (Apologies for my abysmal camerawork.)
