Very nice work here and great to see you you got the body parts in the right colors. Wonder if you could find a decal design online or elsewhere that looks like R2's head and attach it to a light gray dome. Just an idea.
Well, for building this at 14, it's pretty amazing! I'd say, that, yeah the body could be quite a bit longer. If you plan on revisiting this, I would suggest maybe even turning it into a bust instead. Great work!
Yeah, that's much better, man! Now all you need to do is BL those parts in the right color and lower the head by a plate, then you could sell this idea to Lego.
This is really cool! I love the look of the legs and the lower half. I agree, the top part should be round. I would suggest using blue round 1x1 plates for the "stripes" attached to another 4x4 white round plate like you used in the lower part.
Very nicely done! I've done some mosaics and know how difficult they are to get to look right. I'd love to see some smaller thumbnails of these to really get the effect, though.
Glad you like it! I was originally just going to build him in the black costume, but saw some stills from the Wolverine movie, and just had to rebuild the body with that look too.
Thanks! If I would have kept the katanas at their original length, they would've look disproportionate to his hands. This is also one of my favorites figs.
For a LONG time now, I've wanted to build an action-figure scale Lego Wolverine. I just couldn't figure out a way to make his claws and have them to scale...until now!
I started with this "movie-esque" costume design first, but thought Wolvie in his Logan attire would look cooler.
Another challenge was getting his hairstyle to look right. Thanks to some suggestions from folks on Flickr, I think I got it to look good.
"Taste my claws, bub!"
