[LDD MOC] Delta-7 Aethersprite Interceptor

Awesome work, as usual, Doc! I love the overall shape and how you emmulated detail by the placement of bricks/plates in the dark red areas. To fix that gap in the nose, replace that 1x2 tile with a tile with one stud and this part: My link -
This is pretty tight, man, and totally takes me back to that scene.
-
HEHE! Yeah, this fig is WAY bigger than Miniland!
-
No. Miniland figs are around 3 to 4 inches tall. This guy is 12 inches tall. So, basically, Mega-mood scale is 3 times as large as Miniland/Moodland scale.
-
Thanks! I think I will post some of my ideas on Cuusoo at some point. Oh, and a stormie will be along soon.

Geonosis Playground (Mini Model Display)

When I first started moccing years ago, I started with SW minis and I remember looking at alot of your minis on Brickshelf to get inspiration and ideas and I see some of my favorites here! Beautiful work, as always! -
Thanks, and thanks for the blog! Thanks. The head is easily removable and that's a pretty good idea. May have to try that.
-
HAHA! I've actually been thinking about posting some of my ideas to cusoo or whatever it's called.
-
Very cool! I like the shaping/detailing of the legs and the fact that it looks like it could be an official set.
-
I would love to see figs like this or my Moodland scale figs as sets. *sigh* Maybe some day. As far as a shocktrooper, I do plan on building some color variants of this guy, so stay tuned.
-
Thanks. A Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper is definately on my list. HA! Thanks! I was totally going for that pose when I took the pic. Thanks! The jointa are actually from old Exo-Force sets. You can find them on Bricklink listed as "technic bricks". Thanks! I thought about giving him a DC-15, but thought it would take up too much room in the photos. When I build color variations of this guy, one or more of them will have the bigger rifle. Thanks, man! As with all my builds, I tried to imagine this as a real set when building it. It is sturdy enough that older kids could play with it without knocking off TOO many pieces.

Very accurate and nicely built! The lights take this to an awesome level!

Community Build: SW Episode II - Attack of the Clones
M<0><0<DSWIM replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Here's my entry, Clone Trooper (Mega-MOOD Scale)! My link -
So, I've been wanting to work in a larger scale for a while. At this point, I've built various mecha and things at this size, but I wanted to do what I do with my Moodland figs, only bigger. I wanted to go the route of the 12 inch SW figs from way back when (which have since been reincarnated). Obviously, I'm all about capturing as much detail and accuracy as possible in my builds, and this larger scale allows me to do that. This guy is exactly 11 inches tall. As with all my builds, I wasn't able to capture every detail COMPLETELY, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I do plan on continuing this scale/theme and will do so with some OT characters next. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for future figures. This pic is for Mr Man and anyone else interested in the size of this fig compared to a minifig. Here's my Clone Commander color variant! Rather than just slapping on some yellow tiles, I actually updated some designs, including: extending the torso up by one brick thickness and making some changes to the "face" of the helmet like making the visor bigger and streamlining the "mouth". Let me know what you think!

So, how 'bout it, admins? A Super Wars contest in the near future?
-
Well, I'm pretty sure I've said on several other sites how awesome this is, but I'll say it again here: This thing is AWESOME! I think the shaping of the cockpit is the best part.
-
If I had to match up the characters, Luke would not be Batman, but I was basing the characters off of the vehicle combinations. Joker and Palpy would definately be a better match-up.
-
Congrats, guys! You deserve it.

I think this is the first time I've seen this scene in this scale. Very nicely done! That Slave 1 is flippin adorable!
-
Thanks, Oky! Glad you like it and thanks for the blog.
-
Thanks, everybody! Glad you like this as much as I do. I actually was planning on giving this the extended nose like an X-wing, but it would have looked like a bat with a giraffe's neck from the top view.
-
Nicely done,as usual! Love all the work in tan.

First off, mad props to Oky and his Super Wars theme. This is only slightly influenced by that. After Bruce Skywalker's aunt and uncle are killed by the evil Darth Joker, Bruce learns the ways of the Force and becomes the Bat Knight, vowing to fight crime across the galaxy and destroy the evil Empire! I was looking at the new Batwing set and thought that how the wings fold open reminded me of the X-Wing and BAM, this happened. Similar to most Batwings, I wanted mine to look like the Bat symbol from an overhead view. I like how the cannon tips resemble a bat's claws. Bruce Skywalker AKA the Bat Knight and his trusty sidekick, the Droid Wonder, R0-B1-N! I do plan on revisiting this theme in the future. I'll probably build Darth Joker's Bow-TIE Fighter. Let me know what you think!

This is, without a doubt, one of the BEST and most detailed Mustafar battles I've ever seen! Great work!
