Maybe LEGO will pick up on some of the monster concepts from Nexo Knights that never made it in brick form, the Forest and Water monsters were Featured in both Book of Monsters and Book of Monstrox. https://nexoknights.fandom.com/wiki/Forest_Monsters https://nexoknights.fandom.com/wiki/Sea_Monsters

Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I think putting the logo from 60382: Vet Van Rescue , would make that off-road ambulance GWP a whole lot more interesting, the space is tiny to carry minifigs, but as small animal rescue vehicle, it seems more appropriate. It's just a simple piece swap of the 1x4x2 panel piece. -
A Lion or Eagle set might seem very likely, Lion even moreso as there's no small vehicle/mech type build for the character at all currently. Spider Queen appeared 4 times across 3 waves of sets, with multiple types of spider builds. I'm still hoping for some type of Fortress for the Ink villains, would go nicely with their style using cannons, bows and catapults. Black walls, gold accents, brown wood, and some greys seems like a nice color scheme to use. Especially with the current lineup of City of Lanterns, Team Hideout, and Heavenly Realms , I think if there's another location set, a villain location makes more sense for a summer 2023 one.

Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Moving Truck is said to be 21 Feb - 3 March according to Promobricks. Images for 40582: 4x4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue were added to brickset today. -
A "Shark Ship" could possibly bring (back) light/dark grey or black hull parts. LEGO has been using and recoloring "pirate" ship hull parts in themes like Friends or Mario in different colors more then once (Nougat, White or Coral)
-
This is very clever due to it being from just 2 sets. Reminds me of 72004: Tech Wizard Showdown where the golden Clay Battle Suit is inside the Mech.

Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
True, but Tan was still used for 2 years for the Garage and Diner modulars, after the "classic" 10699: 32x32 Sand Baseplate retired. But as history shows, not all colors will make it to seperately sold Classic products. Currently there are Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Dark Blue (Motorized Lighthouse) baseplates used in products, beside the lineup of 2022 "Classic" theme green, white, blue and 48x48 grey. Pick a Brick does still have those more obscure Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Dark Blue baseplates however , currently €9,91 , and €4,19 for 16x32 Dark Grey (Diagon Alley) , so that route seems to be the best way for "official" direct from LEGO in countries that have pick-a-brick website that is, otherwise bricklink etc. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like the idea of the Tomb set, but need to see more about the pieces and how the decorations are done for the back wall , if anything, could be a pseudo-adventurers parts-pack type of set. -
I'd rather see more unique big torso's like Axl from Nexo, and not Bigfigs.

The "what set did you just build" thread
TeriXeri replied to danth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
80043: Yellow Tusk Elephant My main issue would be the shoulder stickers, there is a flaw on having stickers on a multi-curved piece, so the sticker lifts up on the sides (also seen it in at least 3 other review videos) Otherwise I think the design, use of colors and even the rest of the stickers look great, and the colors + gold decoration + spikes also give it a Zandalari (Warcraft) / Lizardmen (Warhammer) vibe. -

I had no big issues with the other stickers, but this car hood sticker just feels like a "design flaw" as both of them I put on keep lifting up on the same edges, due to the piece being curved in all directions. (and the same lifting up "bubbles" showed up in at least 3 other review videos, where the sticker tries to lift up from the sides) Meanwhile, the Cars theme got a ton of similar car front pieces with elaborate prints on them.- 183 replies

It used to be about 1-2 years apart but now certainly same "subthemes" release much closer together, or even at the same years / shelf time. City also has shifted a lot of focus toward animals , especially cats, dogs and horses and baby animals in the recent 2-3 years, 2022/2023 especially with lots of kittens , baby farm animals, puppy dog and horse foal. I think the goal certainly is to have both themes overlap a lot more in subject matter, while still keeping their own style. But there's also a constant evolution of styles over the years, even something simple as a Friends horse, changed a lot around 2021, where horses got a different pose, and a moveable neck, much more like the way minifig horses behave.

The Love for Printed Pieces Thread/Sticker Resentment Thread
TeriXeri replied to danth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just built 80043: Yellow Tusk Elephant , the sticker on this part in particular is awful to get fully on, due to it's shape , curved in multiple directions. And while I do prefer prints in pretty much all situations, the Pigsy print is still far from perfect, the skin tone on the torso doesn't match the pink of the head/hands in real life, only in renders.- 183 replies

So this does sound very original. My guess would be Shark Ship would likely be an actual ship, maybe some ghost "dream eating" pirate-knight. I don't think it's a Spaceship, but Space Bus does sound very fun too, wonder how it'll compare to the Party Bus from LEGO Movie 2. Overall, a mix of Creatures, Vehicles, and Robots/Space sounds very varied , yet still familiar to LEGO with themes like Creator 3-in-1 sharing subjects in their history. I wonder if they'll apply the 2-in-1 on some sets as well, we've seen it with LEGO Movie 1 and 2, and recently the 2023 Ninjago Ice Dragon. Transformation could also apply to figures, having some figures transform into "nightmare" mode like Hidden Side had those green ghost parts, but without being the main focus, no big teeth or eyes everywhere.

Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Same thing happened with a few GWP last year too, like the 3-in-1 Witch or City Sandwich Shop just looked like regular boxed Creator or City, beside the GWP 40xxx number that is. -
A new promobricks "leak" rumour article mentions a possible sequel to MMV , including a Goat. https://www.promobricks.de/lego-leak-umfrage-2023/157463/ *fingers crossed*

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
TeriXeri replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Another themed Classic set appeared 11033: Creative Fantasy Universe Most interesting parts perhaps for AFOL are the regular bricks in Transparent Opal. -
Looks like another set appeared , interesting color scheme, Transparent Opal in particular. 11033: Creative Fantasy Universe , 1800 pieces £79.99 / $89.99 / 89.99€ The colors are mostly ok here, but I wish it was more like 11030: Lots of Bricks in terms of pieces, right now even while this has almost 2x the pieces, I need to see the parts list before judging 1 image of a pile of bricks. (same thing happened with 11022: Space Mission, where the actual parts list ended up quite interesting with some colors getting fairly equal distrubution of basic bricks and some plates)

40580 Buildable Tahu: Bionicle returns in 2023!
TeriXeri replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, and the Slizers / Throwbots, right before Bionicle, they came in canisters with giant letters saying Technic imprinted in the lids, and many of the parts were used for 10+ years afterwards. -
Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion

Agreed, I mean, 80s race cars were blocky, but this just looks really weird, unless it's intended to be a "soapbox" racecar built by some local amateur racer. -
LEGO Ninjago 2023 Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
A temple set, certainly peaks my interest, as I prefer buildings. As for "Ninjago City" sets, I have not been collecting them but will watch what comes from that as well. -
Favorite unintentional play feature?
TeriXeri replied to Lemerbrix's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like to use the rocket from City 60351: Rocket Launch Centre as Space Shuttle fuel tank + boosters (remove the top of the rocket), for example with the shuttle from 31117: Space Shuttle Adventure (or even go sci-fi futuristic with 80020: White Dragon Horse Jet after removing the tail blade/exhaust) Not meant to be a realistic scale or anything, but it's still a decent size tower + rocket + shuttle that way, using 2 very recent sets. Also I like to use that launch tower with the 80035: Monkie Kid's Galactic Explorer as well, as it's much bigger then the one that's included. -
6148 Plant, Tree Palm Leaf Small 8 x 3 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6148 2518 Plant, Tree Palm Leaf Large 10 x 5 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2518 The small leaf has been in production pretty much each year, and got even some other recolors in recent years, gold in 2014, black in 2019, lime in 2020 most recently Large Leaf was introduced the original 1989 Pirates year, Small leaf was introduced when Islanders appeared 5 year after, only a few sets used both together, most notable 1994 islanders and 2 1997 Pirates set and the big Adventurer set in 1998, and then Legends version of 2001 Enchanted Island. Strangely enough, the large leaf disappeared completely after 2002.
-
I have not seen a parts list of this set yet, I thought it was a recolor of the small leaf (which is already very nice to begin with). If they are indeed the large 10 x 5 variant, then

Still waiting for the day LEGO might bring back the large palm leaf pieces , most likely via botanical, piece has not been made since the 2002 remake version of 10037: Breezeway Café, 21 years ago already.
