  1. I do actually pay €5 for magazines(that come with a figure + some small build) over here, but for a "random" figure I would certainly not. I know people can feel those things but I literally have yet to see any sort of CMF in a store that isn't an official LEGO Brand Store in my area. And when I would be in a LEGO Brand Store , I would buy figures via BAM anyway. That's the only thing I majorly dislike about CMF, that "blind bag". And no, this isn't about a workaround of buying things secondary market, it's how LEGO presents the product.
  2. Of course there's 100% room for animals and dragons, I even suggested them. I think most concerns are with those "mechanical" type vehicles seen in past action themes. There is a big difference between a Lion Vehicle and a Fantasy Lion Mount : And while Chima did have many mechanical looking vehicles, they had some Legend Beasts as well :
  3. I'd certainly love a 4th official Space Police wave. There are so many new parts these days to get interesting wing shapes, even a sharper angled design could be original using newer wedge and triangle parts. Even something using this color scheme would work for me, Trans-Bright-Green is an interesting color not used much for Space Canopies (mainly Atlantis / Hero Factory / Nexo 2018) Also getting such current Canopy shapes in new colors would be nice. Or a modernized re-release of
  4. While there have been In-House space sets via Lego Movie 1+2, there haven't been many other opportunities for that really. I didn't get any Movie 1 sets but I suppose those "Super Secret Police" been the closest to a Sci-Fi Police since. Later also seen in Ninjago Movie , and Apocalypseburg.
  5. I see City , Creator 3-in-1 and Friends mostly as the same scale, and even somewhat connected. City only really had 1 family house set in 2010. Creator used to make those large houses, then eventually added minifigs in 2011, 2011 also saw a 3-in-1 Lighthouse and Log Cabin which were the first different style of minifig buildings sets. Then Friends appeared in 2012 with many buildings/shops that are certainly mostly compatible with minifigs still, minifigs are wider then dolls so sometimes there's some width issues. I still see those 3 themes at a very similar scale to eachother. 3-in-1 vehicles can be a bit oversized , but most sets that included minifigs aren't that crazy scaled.
  6. I mostly meant the location and animal focus of Elves, not so much the color scheme, as the source material has a lot of different animals and potential of caves, cities and temples. Maybe some of those animal builds use "mech" type parts but LEGO is getting better at their animal builds in recent years for sure, they don't need to look like Vehicles or Mechs if they design it right.
  7. It sure has a retro vibe, especially the Enforcer ship type, but still like version 1 and 2 a lot more, I just like the angled designs over more rounded ones, 3 certainly added a whole level with the different Alien types however.
  8. This for sure, if they can't do a theme or wave, a big 3-in-1 Castle set would be very nice way to get figures and still be somewhat of an event. Even if they had brick-built horses I'd take that over nothing , also the Castle doesn't have to be yellow. In case of the US it would also be the 40th year since the Knight's Procession / Knights Joust / Yellow Castle in 2021 as they came out in 1981 in US.
  9. I'm more wondering about People Packs, we had 2 last year and no mention of even 1 now. And I don't mean those 4-figure blister packs. So far what's remaining of the original numbers , 100% pure speculation here. 60268 Town 2 (People pack ??) 2019 People pack number was right before Advent Calendar. 60269 Advent Calendar - September 60271 Town D2C - Capital City / City Square type set ?? 60272 MDP 2 60273 MDP 3 60274 MDP 4 I don't know about those MDP sets , but they aren't those Bonus Value packs as those start with 66xxx. But there have been standalone sets later in a year before that aren't part of a particular year's subtheme for example : 2015 had a Heavy Haul Train (2014 was a Trains year) 2017 Cargo Terminal 2018 had a Hospital If I had to hope for a large standalone set I'd like a Harbour, considering the 2020 magnet piece, and also could be used with the Sea Explorers. Harbour makes sense with a possible Coast Guard reboot in 2021.
  10. The original set number list says it's D2C so it's likely 1 large one (Capital City size?) Also remember the Ski Resort also came out of nowhere in 2019 later in the year (September)
  11. All those themes were during my dark age, so I just speak from pictures. I think Space Police 3 was the most interesting one, also has the Base and the large Enforcer ship. Alien Conquest comes next as I really like the contrast between the Earth and Invader designs and few but good looking sets.
  12. Pirate Roller Coaster was a 3-in-1 , at a lower price range as well around ~€80-85.
  13. Certainly a good value set, lots of minifigures was my main draw to it, but the parts themselves are still interesting as well. No regret here at full price.
  14. I still hope with Elves being retired that this theme will be more Elves-like. No minidolls but still have buildings/caves and possibly giant-animal builds that look less like mechs. Monkey Kid possibly riding on a Cloud in a set, and one of the other main characters Tang riding on a white horse. Still could have dragons as well but more in the Chinese style rather then having large wings and legs. Elves also still had animal mounts, ships and such which could fit into a Journey to the West style theme , mostly martial arts instead of vehicle combat.
  15. I never had a large pirate ship set so the upcoming 3-in-1 version might be the first, but I always like when sets had/have (suggested) alternate builds that are completely different things, nowadays we get instructions but back then it was meant as inspiration/imagination. Also looking forward to what can be made from the upcoming IDEAS set which uses ship parts in it's original submission. And then combine the parts with the 2018 "Pirates" 3-in-1 sets, Roller Coaster and Tree House Treasures. The Pirate Roller Coaster building certainly seems to have been based on Lagoon Lock-Up with the palmtree and red/blue awning left of the gate.
  16. No idea, but just realized that Rhino-Creature or Mino-Beast is the same set, just different websites have different names. Just putting this out here before expecting 2 sets.
  17. I just really hope it won't have wheeled motorbikes with drills on them like that or any other "vehicle" looking thing. The Silver/Gold Horned Kings in that set are in Journey to the West but that motorcycle is just another variant of a Axl Rumblemaker / Cole Driller , with a bit of added Twinfector design that does not fit this theme. There are a lot of beast-inspired sets they can do however, just hope they will look more beast and less mech, I'd still greatly prefer location-focus. Ninjago is also apparently doing a Rhinoceros or Mino-Beast (Minotaur/Bull-King??) wonder how those will end up looking. Edit : Seems to be one and the same set, different sites call it either Nashorn or Mino-Beast or Rhino-Creature.
  18. Still hoping for a reboot of a traditional Castle line, still plenty to explore in that, even in different locations/eras. The Prince of Persia theme I suppose is the closest LEGO has been to Desert/Castle combination but there's a whole lot more Castle history in Africa/Middle East/Asia.
  19. Hoping for other characters as well for sure. Example : A set with the White Dragon Prince could be interesting, in the battle he swallows Tang's horse whole. But later he recognized Tang Sanzang and then turns into the Horse for the rest of the Journey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Dragon_Horse Also those antagonists sound pretty nice and could make location based sets with caves and such : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Journey_to_the_West_characters#Antagonists A lot of those true form are animals. Just some interesting names (many more in the link) Single Horned Rhinoceros King Scorpion Demoness Tree spirits The Hundred Eyed Demon Lord The Grand Saint of Nine Spirits (Nine Headed Lion) Python Demon And then the Bull, Elephant, Red Boy, Gold/Silver Horned Kings from that other brand are also mentioned. I just hope they won't look to much like mechs and vehicles. Sorry if I sound repetitive on my past week's posts , just very interested in this story/setting which is relatively new for me, yet not so new (via Games/Anime etc)
  20. The story was written 400 years ago and well known across Asia. Sun Wukong also been prominently featured in many video games and media (a well known spin-off being Dragon Ball) Including Diablo 3, (from Blizzard which made Overwatch) and they even have an armor set called Sunwuko , Monkey King's Garb. https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Sunwuko Also the orbs and cloth belt on the supposed Bigfig looked familiar in style to a fantasy depiction of a (Shaolin) Monk. Left : Diablo 3 Monk artwork. Right: one of the World of Warcraft Monk class sets (and the Pandaren race based on Red/Giant Pandas) Another popular game , League of Legends introduced Wukong as a playable monkey character with a staff many years ago in 2011: https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Wukong
  21. They say over 50% voted Gunship, and in a 3-way vote that's still something big.
  22. Ah ok, for those Dungeon/Dragon Boardgame type sets that could be interesting to see how they do a class system, a bow/crossbow does fit in there for sure.
  23. The first Destiny Bounty of 2012 has multiple minifig crossbows on it.
  24. Could be, but I remember the constraction discussion on here really started after pointing out the set numbers being so close to 2016 Bionicle , and Dimensions having 100% ended. Just saying my posts were never meant to give people false hope for constraction back then in July 2019, purely based on set numbers vs existing sets, also completely seperate from 4Chan.
  25. The Constraction Rumour only came to life due to the set numbers being closest to the last Bionicle (and Dimensions) sets, that's it. But as we have seen in the past, that doesn't have to mean much as 70400 Castle (2013), was followed by 70409 Pirates (2015) by 70418 Hidden Side Ghost Lab (2019) Themes can also jump a lot of numbers , In 2018 Nexo Knights were the first sets to start in the 72000 range (after using 70310-70373 before), and 2020 Ninjago started with 71699 onwards after using 70500-70756 for many years) It just happens that the 71350 - 71698 range has some room. https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Category:70000_sets?from=70910+Scarecrow+Special+Delivery
