    Terrific work - chapeau! Could you explain or link to an explanation of how you get the fbx models from the Battlefront data please?

    You can't even see that part once it's finished so any colour 2x6 brick will do - or a stack of 3 2x6 plates to form the 'spine' of the model. I had the same problem with the stud shooters in BL, must be some discrepancy in the part details or something. Post a pic if you do build one, that would be really great to see!

    These are great - I especially like the FO transport, the cargo shuttle and the quad jumper is really cool.

    thanks for all your comments, really appreciated. You can grab the lxf from here if you're interested. I'm just building a micro scale Scarif landing pad for it now, will post a pic if it turns out ok :)

    Thanks for the comments! @Prometheum5 I'm very pleased you built the FO Transport, that's really cool to hear. You are right about the LDD instructions, it's actually a bit tricky to put together by hand so I'm not surprised LDD gets confused. The build probably would not pass Lego's ease-of-build tests but it is strong once it is assembled. Thanks for the suggestion on the tiles, I'll give that a try and will post a link to the LXF tonight or tomorrow.

    Hi all After only getting four kits in the Microfighters series 4 I decided to have a go at adding to the range myself, starting with 'Rogue One' itself. So here's my micro MOC of the Imperial Cargo Shuttle. It's 12 studs long, 6 wide with the wings up and about 16 wide with them down, 105 pieces at last count. I experimented with a few different builds and the trickiest parts were making the wings strong without too many plates and the orange cargo 'pod'. I had a nicer looking cargo pod using some curved corner bricks but it was hard to make the rest of the build strong so I had to go for slopes and brackets instead. I kept the colours mostly dark grey with some light grey for the wing markings and also a few touches of dark tan, just to add a bit of dirt and break up the shape a little. The pilot is from the Battlefront battlepack but he's close enough to one of the Rogue One soldiers for the moment. That's it - hope you like it, all comments welcome.     ah cool - an image search for 'TIE Reaper' will show the image though it's pretty low-res. The painting in the art book shows the underside and front pretty clearly so it's really just the back that is a mystery. My guess is it would have a shuttle type engine with a slot-shaped exhaust rather than a rounded nozzle but that's just an assumption. Would be nice to get some more 360 degree images.

    The 'Art Of R1' book has a concept painting showing the Death Trooper transport from the front. It basically looks like a mash up of TIE Striker and Kylo Ren's shuttle. It's definitely one I want to MOC when I call get some better reference.

    Both BPs look like definite buys to me and it's good they both come with vehicles, not random turret type things. I'm not wild about the series 4 Microfighters but I've collected most of them so far so will no doubt pick them over the year. Interesting that this wave nearly all have stud shooters instead of flick missiles. Speaking of which, I am definitely taking those off the Micro Y-wing... They just look wrong where they are.

    super cool, maybe a little too big for Microfighter scale which is usually no bigger than 12 studs in any direction but a really build nonetheless. Would love to see if you can shrink it even further :)

    Very cool model - I like it, just one comment : the 'fins' that stick out at the back don't really angle up or down quite as much as you have them so maybe just adjust them a little?. This is a good reference picture https://goo.gl/images/U4aHq1

    It's not up to anyone to define what criteria qualify someone as an official Fan Of Lego and it's certainly got nothing to do with whether you want to build MOCs or not.

    I don't mind getting a turret type build but a little vehicle is always better. I just picked up the Resistance pack and its a good one IMHO - the speeder is cool enough and the figs are great - the helmet design is really nice. Flandy's idea of a mixels type combined build is good but tricky to design I would imagine.

    I can't see much more coming from TFA unless they want to do a proper Kylo Shuttle maybe? From a marketing perspective if they'd just stuck in another couple of ships and shown the snowspeeder and the ATAT style things we see in the distance then they could have sustained another wave.

    yes I thought the turret was OK, its kind of microfighter scale and you can put one of the crew inside the doorway for comedy effect.

    I was looking at a few more of the microfighter builds and there's a few that have parts that aren't available in that particular colour in real lego, also some of the build techniques would not be very sturdy. They also don't always stick to the 12 stud max dimension either but I guess that's forgivable. Anyway, I'm going to try and build up a version of the MF Resistance Transporter in real bricks but will probably adapt the design a bit.
