Hi - OP here and finally I've been able to track down the source of all the link requests I've had! I replied to previous ones to ask where the link was found as I had long lost track of where it was posted, but never had a reply. Thanks for your interest, I will update the file location and repost it here in the next couple of days.

ah non, je suis anglais mais je travaille pour un compagnie francaise, donc je parle un peu de francais :) I'm really flattered you liked my model enough to make your own - and to make a video. Very cool, thank you very much! Do you have any photos of your minifig scale AAL? Yes, I really enjoyed The Last Jedi - and am pleased that they were not afraid to do something different (No spoilers) and surprising. I will go and see it again next week. re: the Microfighters, I've started a design for the Resistance Bomber in LDD... it's going OK so maybe I will post a picture for some feedback. thanks again!

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Joemmo replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just seen 75201 FO AT-ST... What on earth were they thinking? Certainly have a full model with a removable head but that just looks awful - it's just a pair of legs! On a related note, I saw some images from the TLJ concept art book and the FO scout speeder looks like another victim of a change of design late in production. -
this is awesome - especially love how you made the cracked surface.
-
Merci beaucoup Bricks Feeder :) I was hoping to see the troop transport used again in TLJ but it only really appeared in a couple of shots (no spoilers). Having seen the new series of Microfighters for 2018 I have an idea for a ship to build that wasn't part of the range. I'll post it once I get the model started.

[MOC][WIP] Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer Microfighter
Joemmo replied to Martini26's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cool model Martini, I've been thinking about trying this one as a Microfighter myself. I'm sure it can be done smaller and with fewer parts, maybe look at the TIE interceptor and TIE Striker micros for ideas? -
Not a rebels fan but the ++ Ghost ++ is a clear winner of this round for me.

A pretty strong series this one but I'm going for the Snowspeeder because it's well proportioned and fits the theme perfectly.

Tricky. The Falcon is probably the best Microfighter of all - and I have most of them - but for me, the X-Wing (and kids) got me back into Lego after decades away so I'm going to vote... *** X-Wing***

Tough call but I'm voting for Snap Wexley. The print is great and the dual mould helmet is such a nice piece.

Some great work here, I especially like Krennics shuttle and the Tank.

Thanks again for your kind comments, I think this is one of favourites too. As an aside I originally built it as three separate sections connected with pins, with the intention of building some non-canon modules that could fit in place of the central section... The ship has that kind of aesthetic. I'm struggling to decide which ship to do next but I feel like it needs to be rebel or resistance to balance the number of Empire / FO micros I've built. I am doing a blue squadron X-Wing from R1 but that will be more or less a recolour of the official set. Any suggestions?

These are great, especially like Leia & the Emperor. Look forward to seeing some more!

Thanks very much for your comments folks - much appreciated. Moppo: now I can't not see it as a sofa - thanks for that :) Here's the .LXF file If you load it into bricklink it will give errors about invalid parts so you need to delete the stud shooter. the 2x1 inverted curved slopes and the 2x2 DBG wedge plates then add them back in Bricklink - there seems to be a mismatch between LDD the entries in BL for some reason.

Hello I've been gradually working through a backlog of unofficial Microfighter builds and after a few attempts, finally got a result with the Resistance Transport from Episode 7. I will admit some inspiration to have a go at this from the version in the Lego TFA game but I didn't really study it in detail. Anyway here it is - nice to build something for the good guys after a string of Imperial and First Order builds. Its 13 studs wide and about 10 long including the cannons. 133 pieces which is a little high but many of those are small plates and studs. I was pretty pleased to be get an opening hatch in the front... ...though its probably a bit cramped in there. Colour scheme matches the Resistance X-Wing quite nicely and its a solid and swooshable little ship. Lots of engines. That's about it - you'd think the pilot would be a bit happier with it. Thanks for taking a look!

@Rustinidiel Ah I see what you mean :) Yes, it's a nice design but it does feel more 'First Order' than Imperial to me. To post an .lxf the best way is to host it somewhere like google drive or dropbox and share the link

Not sure what you mean by non-canon, it's in Rogue One after all. @roadstermatt yes that's a pretty good picture in the art book but I think the final version was a little different... hard to say. Cool ship though, I started sketching it out in LDD in micro scale.

The official name of this ship is the TIE Reaper. I'm keen to do a version but there is not a lot of good reference out there. These are the best I've found

Hello I recently bought the Rogue One imperial Battlepack - mainly for the Death Troopers - but was a bit disappointed with the generic non-canon walker that was included so I decided to see if I could re-use the parts to make something a bit more pleasing. That was the plan but in the end I went off-course and ended up using only a few of the parts from the battle pack - and plenty more from Bricklink. The result was this Microfighter scale AT-ST complete with driver borrowed for a larger set. Vital statistics are: 84 pieces, 6 studs wide, about 10 high - depending on how the legs are posed - and about 8 long. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out, it stands up OK and can be posed with the legs 'walking' though it's a little front heavy. The head is mounted on a mixels ball joint so it's got a little range of motion and the stud shooter cannons can be raised and lowered too. The legs and lower assembly are quite straightforward but the head section has a lot of SNOT going on with 6 brackets holding the thing together. It was definitely the hardest part to do. It's nearly all LBGrey and DBGrey but I got a bored of that and put some sand yellow bits in to break it up - tonally they are between the two greys so you can get a bit of subtlety in the shading but it may not be to everyone's taste, I may change them to regular grey. The driver also has a couple trans green plates in front to mimic the cockpit displays, just for another bit of colour. Scale-wise, it's a bit taller than most Microfighters but within the bounds and it doesn't look too out of place in the range - I don't have the AT-DP to compare it to but I do have AT-AT... Yes, I know it's all kinds of wrong but it sort of works.. That's all, comments welcome. I'll post the .LXF once I've brought it up to date with how the actual model turned out. cheers J

My local sainsburys's (Whitley Bay and Gosforth) have series 3&4 Microfighters for £6.75 and Rogue One battle packs fo r£9. Not sure if it's national thing but worth a look.

@VaderFan2187 I'm not so sure - TLG haven't done this so far with the Microfighter series, they've always come out together around the beginning of a year. My guess would be we'll get another 4 themed from Episode 8 for series 5 in December '17 / Jan '18. I hope they come up with some new craft and especially some cool ground vehicles for the Resistance for Ep8

hi - thanks for your comments - I've been playing Lego TFA with my son so that is definitely an influence. As for only having four MFs in this series, they are always in a pair of good vs bad so I guess there wasn't anything else suitable for the Rebels. It's a problem of balance generally though, I've made a few Micros that haven't been done officially and they are all Imperial or First Order - the good guys just don't have as much choice! I'm currently doing an AT-ST and might have a go at an A-Wing after that but all the smaller classic Rebel / Resistance ships have been done (X, Y & U-wings, Snowspeeder, Millenium Falcon - and I'm just not into Rebels or the prequels :)
