That seems like a GREAT fit, if I could get my hands on one. Seems a bit hard to find. All the suggestions I tried (but only the ones I tried) fail at the eyes. This looks like a great fit.

Anyone going to mention Wong's legs are backwards in the picture? Even I didn't notice at first, someone commented this on @Falconfan1414's Instagram post. My whole family is now worried about how to get this in the US.- 3,962 replies

Can anyone out there put together an Ant-Man helmet with either Dr. Doom head or tDKR bane head? These suggestions come from @TheBrickBuilder14 and @SpiderJazz over on the Marvel forum for how to "fix" the inaccurate Ant-Man helmet design. The idea is that the silver/grey on the head will cover the open mouthpiece while still permitting the eyes to be seen through the transparent visor. Also looking for ideas for replacement legs for Wasp to replace the plain blue ones from the official set. @TheBrickBuilder14 suggested Ayesha's legs for instance.

Has anyone come up with replacement legs for Wasp with printing? Any suggestions for replacement heads that would show silver/grey in the Ant-man helmet mouth gap, but also show eyes somehow?- 3,962 replies

As a big fan of the show, I am eager to make my own Graviton, so thanks for the great ideas! I was going to suggest the third one to @Skier1215's original post. Seeing these all together, I think the second one is my favorite. Is that a Ninjago torso?

I don't mind the plain legs too much either. After all, this is Lego! We can swap them out! e.g. Zod legs for Black Panther. The Superhero Customization forum often has great ideas for how to modify figures just like this. Dual-molded legs are funny, and they are very rare in Marvel sets. We have had approximately 240 Marvel minifigures, and 6 of them have had dual molded legs. I will list them here: sh205: Spider-Man - Black Web Pattern, Red Boots; sh208: All New Captain America - Sam Wilson (San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive) sh212: Hulk - Dark Purple Pants with Dark Red Pattern (5003084) sh284: Doc Ock (76059) sh299: Spider-Man - Black Web Pattern, Red Torso Large Vest, Red Boots sh420: Spider-Man - Black Web Pattern, Red Torso Small Vest, Red Boots Special shoutout to the She-Hulk figure, which isn't dual molded, but which has a really good paint job that fooled me due to the excellent leg side printing. MCU Iron Spider with dual-molded legs would have been very nice. :(- 3,962 replies

Both ... at the same time? Look no further than 76107! /s but I had a good chuckle about it. Yes, either of those options would have been better, and getting both would have been neat. I feel like Lego's Marvel minifigures peaked in 76049 Avenjet Space Mission. Among the minifig bounty in that set: the first and probably superior Thanos big-fig, extra head for Captain Marvel, leg printing on 3 figures, dual molded arms on Hyperion, and only one boring figure in Captain America with no unique parts and plain legs. I pointed out way back in 2016 that 76049 had the same number of new printed/molded arms and legs as the entire Civil War line. Come to think of it, the Civil War line also had a large number of plain legs and arms just like we got for this year's IW war sets. For some reason, TLG is trying to save money on move-based sets by keeping the prints simpler? Maybe they put the fancier arms and legs into the more children-oriented cartoon-based sets to entice the AFOLs to buy them too, but don't feel they need to in the move sets? I just checked the legs on the IW figures. The numbers are interesting. 6 sets, only 4 new leg prints (one of them used twice). There are 3 additional reused legs prints from earlier years. Three of the four new leg prints appear in one set together (Sanctum Sanctorum), arguably the most AFOL-oriented set in the series.- 3,962 replies

I just want to point out that there is a difference between cutting costs as a company and being "lazy." I keep seeing this criticism here, that Lego has gotten "lazy" but I don't understand it. It would appear to me that Lego has tried to simplify many of their minifigure designs for this theme as a way to cut costs. Many people here aren't happy about it. I agree that plain legs without printing are a little boring. But stop calling it "lazy." It has become a lazy criticism that is too often repeated here. If you don't like something, just say so. E.g. The latest Thanos figure is disappointing. The printing on the figure is much simpler than the earlier version, and the design doesn't match his appearance in the film. Lego has reused the earlier Thanos mold, probably as a cost-cutting measure, but it only works for his armored appearance seen only briefly in the film. The plain arms however resemble his appearance after shedding most of the heavy armor, making the figure a weird mash-up. However, a bald and helmet-less Thanos would probably look very plain and unremarkable in big-fig form, giving TLG a dilemma in how to design the figure and make it look distinct. While I can't say I have a better solution, I don't think this version is the best we could have gotten, and I can't help but wonder what the figure could have looked like if it were made before TLG's recent financial woes.- 3,962 replies

Can someone quickly summarize which IW minifigs are repeats from previous sets? I think I have some of them identified, but I'm not sure. 1. All Outriders in all sets are identical 2. Rocket in 76102 is the same as in 76079 3. Vision in 76103 is the same as in 76047 4. Black Panther in 76103 is the same as in 76100 5. Banner in 76104 is the same as in 76084 6. Are any parts on Falcon in 76104 reused from 76050? 7. Are any parts on Star-Lord or Gamora in 76107 reused from 76081? 8. Are any parts on Doctor Strange in 76108 reused from 76060? 9. Are Iron Man from 76107 and 76108 identical except for the neckpiece and attachments? Thanks in advance- 3,962 replies

comicbook.com posted an article on 2/4/18. It embeds the leaked image. I don't know why that's ok, but they aren't hosting the image. I've been away for a while, and hadn't seen any of the leaks since December. I am excited for what they did with the 6 main sets. Then I saw this Hulkbuster. I don't think it looks good. It looks pretty ugly to me. I feel like it has too many very large and bulky pieces, it makes it look less detailed. The light up functions look neat, but are probably the reason the model is so big and bulky - they needed to hide the battery pack and light bricks. The articulation issues also derive from the lighting - only joints capable of sustaining that weight could be used. It's probably not fair to judge based on a single angle. Here's hoping that it looks much better from other angles or IRL.- 3,962 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I should have put that together myself, as I even have them! I kept thinking 22+22 so I couldn't figure it out until way after I posted. You're a pretty reliable source. Am I right about the Man-Bat? I only have the new one. -

This is amazing. Truly amazing. Standing ovation. I have a few of questions. I thought that the new Man-Bat has a dual-sided head, but the old one doesn't. That would make the TLBM release "new." How did you count 44 cmf? There were 20 in each series, so I get 40. What am I missing? Do you have a list that you can share? As an xls or csv? I would love to see how you organized your thoughts. Let me digest this, I may have more questions! -

That's funny, because when I rewatched it for this reason, I convinced myself that it WASN'T there! But now I checked again, and it's definitely there. Really hard to notice if you aren't looking for it. Someone mentioned that the beard could be a mini homage to Russel Crowe's depiction of the character, as the rest is based on Brando/Donner. -

I'm blushing. Here's the info @agoodfella77 posted on the other thread if anyone wants to see it here. My guess is these may be prelims, but on the other hand they seem very consistent with the approaches used in the 2017 lineup. Having seen Thor: Ragnarok finally, I am actually very impressed at how accurate these sets were to the film! Every character appears in the right set in the right setting, looking pretty much as they do in the film. Just a few minor dfferences, but really nicely done. It would have been nice to get two versions of Valkyrie, with her costume from the final trailer. It's really hard for toymakers to get these sets designed properly since they are designing the toys before the movie has filmed in many cases.- 5,808 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
linnormlord replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the rule is you can always discuss facts. If you have seen something, you can talk about it. You can't post watermarked images, and some other leaked information, because it's copyrighted and trademarked, but it's fine to describe it. You can post pictures elsewhere and discuss them here. If you have something on hand that you obtained legitimately (no one would get in trouble if it was known how you got it) then you can post it here too. Facts are always fair game to discuss. There are a handful of users here who get facts well in advance of when they would be publicly available, and post them here in a way that no one will get in trouble. Rumors and speculation are conjecture not backed up by any facts. Wishlists and guesses go there. If you have seen something with your own two eyes then please tell us about it here!- 5,808 replies
