Ellisss_ replied to Raskolnikov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fantastic! Don't worry it is of a decent size. Love the trenches! Good job. -
I love this MOC. Great little touches of blue it gives the model that resistance feel. Nice shaping overall!

I redesigned the frame after a few comments on how the structure is weak. I shall be making more structural improvements as time passes ! -

Does anyone know how to connect these I want to make sure they connect before I confirm the Bricklink orders for the frame minus the engines, bridge and red stripe. I have uploaded the LDD file to the Google Drive, if you can attach the angles please email the finished file to me at eclayforth@outlook.com. File: https://drive.google...WXJLMklaOU1zZ1k -

Thank you for your reply! I am new to Flickr and I am not familiar with it, do you know of any tutorials showing me how to copy the BBCode? -
[UCS] [WIP] [MOC] Venator Class Star Destroyer
Ellisss_ replied to Ellisss_'s topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have changed the bridge, by adding dark grey pieces to replace the dark red ones. As for the Technic pins mounting the greebles I decided to keep them, however I have just added a lot more to my Bricklink order to make sure it is strong enough! I will also redesign the engine mounts when I have time. Here are the pictures of the new bridge! -

[UCS] [WIP] [MOC] Venator Class Star Destroyer
Ellisss_ replied to Ellisss_'s topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you for your thourough reply. Regarding the bridge I shall edit the bridge on LDD and see what you think. I will consider some new design ideas too. Thanks, Ellis. Thank you! -
This is a good attempt, it reminds me a lot of cubedudes! I love the use of the guns for the horns. Try and disguise those black pins maybe change them to grey. The face is just too plane however maybe use some different techniques, look it up! Baronsat has made some excellent Star Wars animals, use some of his techniques, but make sure to give him credit!

[UCS] [WIP] [MOC] Venator Class Star Destroyer

Thanks! I am not looking forward to the triangular plating however :( -
Hey guys, I set my self with a challenge about a month ago, to build a UCS Venator Class Star Destroyer similar to the size of Primus's. The instructions for his model are here http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?f=132718. So far I have designed on LDD: the main frame with greebles, engines, red hanger strip going down the center of the model and the command bridge. I currently have the lower hull and upper hull to design. Everything will be my design apart from the two large engines on the rear of the model designed by Qui-Gon-Gin on https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83025 please support his project! I have begun ordering the parts for the main frame, greebles and engines 750 parts for 60 Pounds which is quite expensive as the price per brick is 12.5 pence... I would like any advice I can get as this is my first UCS MOC. I will update this post as I go along and make progress. Render coming soon! Thank you for reading, Ellis.

Beautiful MOC! I have one criticism, the green studs don't really go with the model I would remove them! Good shaping on the wings. Overall this is a great model!
-
Great attempt, however the model is now too bulky as said by Junior Shark... I don't really think there is a way however to make it non bulky. It does look better though well done. Just get rid of the lower body, and attach the head!

Amazing diorama! Perfect work as usual! I love the lights, great use of the scaffolding pieces! You have really captured the curved pillars of the base! One of the best dioramas I have recently seen on the site, apart from your Sullust base. I like the vented slope pieces used for the ground, great idea. Sick MOC, Ellis!

[MOC] [PHOTOSTORY] The sands of Klatooine Chapter 1
Ellisss_ replied to jrscientist's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Haha nice photostory! Great shape and detail! -
This is an amazing improvement! It looks very similar to the UCS version, however it is no where near the same size . I like the use of the 1x3 slope bricks on the front of the model! Fantastic use of snot on the top of the model! I also like the red 1x1 studs on the rear of the model situated around the edge. Great job, Ellis.

This is great ! My favourite feature is the feet! Great use of the ball joints, I haven't thought of using them like that before. I love the little diorama that goes with it too! Amazing detailing, best version I have seen yet!

This is great! The purple is perfect . Fantastic job with the stickers look like they have come straight from TLG! You definitely need a astromech droid though! -
[MOC][LDD] Sandcrawler for not rich people
Ellisss_ replied to A. Skywalker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Decent attempt! Will we be seeing this in bricks, or at least a render. Models always look horrendous in LDD without a render! Looking at it more closely however, I can see the model is pretty detailed and has nice features. Good job! Ahh now that the brickshelf photos are available I can see it in bricks! Fantastic job! -
Looks very good !

This is awesome! I love the engine ducts! Great job on the model you have really captured the T70 X Wing! Lego should definitely make a UCS T-70 X Wing!
