  1. Dug up some pics You mean this color scheme? The link above has even more pictures and some text.
  2. I suppose this is where the gearbox goes. I still hope for PF but so far I've seen no proof.
  3. IMHO some people are just expecting way way too much. Why should LEGO even produce a supercar to "end it all", with perfect steering angles, tire pressure control, anti-lock brake and whatever. The minute they do this, ALL their following sets will be received with "baaah, but in 2016 they released thisandthat, why can't they do this now? 0/10 won't buy". You can see it in this thread when people reference to 8448 or 8880 or any other previously released set. They compare everything to the past and say "baaah, thisandthat is missing". It would be harmful for LEGO to make a set with all the bells and whistles; and it would also be harmful for all MOCcers as there's nothing left for them to achieve technically. We receive increments - like motors, RC, the "new" gearbox shifting system; or this times tire rims with a better pivot point
  4. I understood what you intended to say, just, you said it, and yet again, like an absolute statement as in "it WILL be", etc. but actually you don't know if it will be that way. Sure, it is very very probable and I think mostly everyone here would not expect color-variants but you made an absolute statement, which needs a source for verification. I am also probably the only one here that jumped on that particular sentence (and I'm sorry I use it now as an example ) but I think especially in a speculation thread facts should be distinguishable from speculation / expectation. Sorry, that was probaly OT and came over weird. Back on topic - while I would hope for a set that comes in different boxes with different colors (LEGO could make MAD money with this, especially for UCSs "collect them all!") I also do think it will be one color only. Regrettably, as especially for car-colors the preferences vary wildly so everyone could get his/her perfect-match supercar without color-compromises. Everyone could be happy I also wonder why LEGO never made special edition sticker sheets so far, like one sheet for racing decals, one for luxurity apparel, etc., that could make the models even more personal and appealing. Edit: typo
  5. Then prepare to be disappointed. I'm confident it won't have: - p/r/n/d - this lever only has 3 positions, how to implement 4 functions !? - 7 speed gearbox - why exactly 7? Four seems more likely as there have been linear gearboxes implementing something very similar to what has been recovered from photos/videos - rear axle steering - probably not enough room. Not interesting enough. If you want this then it has, by definition, also implement the counterrotating/crab modes, which are a selling point of the Claas this year. No way. - working brakes - the yellow bar is just a bar without function to look good. What should brakes be for at all I ask you? And where's the lever for it? Heck, it's not even sure there are Power Functions on board, be it motors, servos or just lights. I wish we could get more infos, tho....
  6. Awesome! I'm really looking forward to test this. I've got a PS3 Controller and a Samsung S III, both can be connected by using a cheap USB-Cable. However, does your App only allow controllers connected by BT?
  7. Did the grey round thing in the back look like any of these? (disregard the wires if they might have been cut) A) B) C) Because so far nothing you said did confirm any Power Functions :(
  8. That's my secret wish - it would combine everything good under the sun in one package :) Manual transmission for "vroomm"ing or RC-powered drive without the transmission to have the motor's momentum within it's power scope.
  9. So how are the chances the center switch is a tiptronic-gear-shifting-style with 4 gears and the linkage as shown in the ...?Edit: hm, probably not good, as here the central stick is pointing to the rear, whereas for tiptronic it returns to the center position. Therefore it serves a different purpose. Too tired, should go to bed and stop posting nonsense :) Good night everybody
  10. Yes, I think that too, but from far away it looks like a integer distance (but who knows) and then why not 1 "-[ o-" and 1 "-x-". With two "-[ o-" the axle within can move. Okay. I'm drifting off, forget it :) It's totally OT
  11. Any idea why they used two of + and not just two of ? Sorry, I'm at a loss for words
  12. The video has some in-movement close-ups from the left and right side of the dashboard, maybe it helps getting a 3D-feeling and an additional glimpse.
  13. The question for me is - what is it supposed to do? Turn the axle (which rotation gets translated further below the seat to the back, to the orange +O, to the black suspension arm, to a gearbox?) And by how much?
  14. Unconfirmed rumors state maybe 300+ USD. Power Functions maybe likely, RC maybe possibly Edit: all those Ninjas :D I'm off making dinner...
  15. For people that dont know AutoBILD: The magazine AutoBILD is part of the magazine BILD, which is total gutter press. So don't believe everything they say.
  16. I think they're talking about the orange part seen just above the rubber bands: The steering wheel axle would go though the orange part and could thus be auto-centered. Nice idea if true and clever guessing :) Edit: I found an actual implementation of this, learn something new every day... That upsidedown steering wheel on the Porsche, tho...
  17. What I meant was: I think they are not opened/closed by Power Functions as the doors are independend (as seen: one open, one close vs. both open) but only one lever. However the folding mechanic at the bottom of the door has a pivot point so turning an axle here could open/close the door - if the brick would allow an axle to grip
  18. there are shots where only one door is opened
  19. 1. Notice the orange bar has one of these "black, flat thingies used requently in suspensions" attached to it, so it's probably pulling/pushing something attached to the other end. Or - it's the other way around, something pushes/pulls and it gets propagated to the front. Steering? But then the angle seems to be too flat to push the orange bar, depends on the angle of the black piece which I can't see clear enough. 2. The article once again says interieur and exterieur colors are subject to change and will be the car's regular colors. 3. Edit: the more I think about it the more I think it really could be steering. Remember the weird axle running under the driver's seat? Well, this axle is connected to this whole mechanic (see the blue line going to the front matching the position of the "first grey connectors which make the bend" under the seat) 3b. Or they could connect to the paddles to shift gears, which are also in this region. The paddles seem to rotate the red PF gear shifter on the bottom, near the door. and therefore the motion could be transferred from there back under the seat and then push/pull on the rod to change gears. My favourite theory so far... 4. Also the door has a folding machanism (you can see it better in the original picture)which is interesting; why is it needed? Doors are usually operated my hand and held into place by friction pins. Here there's also an additional folding mechanic at the floor of the door. Is ot roo heavy for friction pins? The end of the black L-part is fixed just below the steering wheel, so there could be a rotating axle, making the door open/close by turning. It however just looks like a black friction pin, not a motorzied axle to open/close the door.
  20. Please not red. Please not red. Please not red. OH GOD! Please NOT RED! Purple, lime, black, even orange or white is fine by me :D But please not red. Nice would be if they'd add two sticker sheets: one camo, one racing, as a substitude for a full body kit. Needs neutral colors like black, silver or white, tho.
