  1. Looking good! I think that an observation car and a sleeper would complete the set.
  2. Alright, thanks.
  3. My layout is going to be 4 foot by 16 foot, and I'd be having pretty large engines running, so the large curves would make a big difference.
  4. So I'm building a pretty large layout in my garage, and I plan on using ME Model rails for the curves in order for my trains to be able to go faster and have less overhang. Does anyone know the size of a half loop of R104, R88, and R72 curves?
  5. Looking pretty good so far! Can't wait for the finished result!
  6. Tony, do you think that putting some of Zephyr's custom rods on the engine would work? I'm interested in buying some for my other engines, so I've been thinking about buying some for the 4449 as well.
  7. It sounds like a pretty cool idea, but unlike model trains, if you want a sizeable layout for this type of function, you can't just go out and buy buildings and bridges and trains and such. Although you could use standard Lego sets, there wouldn't be much variety unless you convinced people to build engines and rolling stock for this layout. It sounds like a pretty cool idea, but I think that it would be difficult to setup.
  8. A while ago, I actually purchased the instructions for this engine. I've had the instructions for a couple years now and have done nothing with them. When I saw this topic get revived, and the pictures of atomic's take at it, it really inspired me to build the engine myself. I am currently finding parts I own for the engine, and will be moving on to eBay and Bricklink. Thanks to atomic for inspiring me to finish, and for Tony for making the instructions!
  9. I've been a fan of lego for about 10 years now, and I'm especially interested in the train related community. I've tried building Lego MOCs for a while, and I'm not half bad. Trains being my favorite, though, are somehow my worst. I have two decent engines, but nothing else. I'm looking to see if anyone wants to stretch out a helping hand and construct an engine for me that I could purchase. Before anyone says anything, I have checked BrickLink, eBay, etc. I've found nothing worthwhile. I have purchased instructions for Anthony Sava's engines, but parts are hard to find. The engines, listed from most wanted to least, are following. 1. Chessie T-1 type 4-8-4 #2101 (CSS paint) 2. CN #6060, mountain type bullet-nosed-betty 4-8-2 3. Santa Fe 4-8-4 Northern type #4751 4. SP&S (Spokane, Portland, and Seattle) #700 4-8-4 5. Southern Pacific #4449 GS-4 4-8-4 I really hope that this isn't too greedy. To anyone reading, thanks!
