  2. Can someone check with real parts if this is legal connection for 21968 and also check for 26050 ?
  3. Here you go: 21968: LDD-New-Parts/21968.xml at main · sttng/LDD-New-Parts (github.com)

  5. Fix for 26050: LDD-New-Parts/26050.xml at main · sttng/LDD-New-Parts (github.com). Its only the xml file, which defines collisions and connections. No change in the model 3d data. Let me know if this works correctly, then I can adjust 21968 too I guess.
  6. I added 65184 " WEAPON, W/ CROSS HOLE, NO. 1 " to my repo: LDD-New-Parts/Primitives at main · sttng/LDD-New-Parts (github.com) Also new: 65579 - " MINI WIG, NO. 279 " @Stephan, feel free to add to your "official" mod parts pack. Also let me know if any errors
  7. My fault. Maybe the principles work in Studio as well ?
  8. Don't know about Stud.Io but maybe it can import LDD files ? This is what I came up with: https://github.com/sttng/LDD/blob/master/Box01.lxf
  9. Nah... unfortunately not. Seems it was a one time release regarding parts. They fixed some bugs and added features, but not parts. Sad :(
  10. 65184 is part of New Parts in the Unity Lego "microgame". So I guess one can relatively easy add it to LDD. https://github.com/sttng/LDD/blob/master/NewParts/screenshot/Screenshot 2021-01-06 at 11.07.23 PM.png
  11. This thread has alot of LDD 'Tricks': For your particular question: Nachapon has answer:
  12. The game studios (like who did Forza) got LDD "Pro". But as a regular person.... No
  13. 4.3.12 has a bad parts library and is missing a lot of parts. You can see from the file sizes: setupldd-pc-4_3_11.exe: 326.6MB setupldd-pc-4_3_12.exe: 163.9MB (50% less) The thing is, its only the installer which is name 4_3_12. After intallation it reports 4.3.11, but with a different parts library version. To make things worse, a simple uninstall of the botched version and re-install of the good 4.3.11 will not help, as the 4.3.12 uninstall will keep files and also messing with the install of the good version. Steps to solve: Uninstall Lego Digital Designer Delete this folder also (otherwise a reinstall will not work): C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer Get the setupldd-pc-4_3_11.exe version of LDD This botched update certainly did confuse / drive away alot of LDD users and Lego didn't care In my personal experience 4.3.11 is the best version - definitely not 4.3.12. 15. Why not ? It’s not like the recent lego decision changes much. Lego didn’t support LDD for years and removing the botched version from their website is actually for the better.
  16. No surprise and given that LEGO offered the botched 4.3.12 version on their website showed for a long time how much they cared - not a tiny bit. Anyway. People should make copies of 4.3.11 and host it somewhere, so there exist a backup of this abandon ware
  17. My suggestion would be to make "Part 57794 Crossing ½ With Switch" it's best to start LDD in Dev mode without collisions and use part 85976 Track 4M, 45 degrees and overlay it with with part 53401 Rail straight (I hope the bow for 85976 is matching 57794). Then export this whole setup to an OBJ file and start editing in blender. I can give it a try if some confirms the bow angles for 85976 and 57794 match. Alternative: use this dat file ? https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-22822-post-31109.html Anyway I don't see any rail switch tracks in LDD. I think they are all missing are they ?
  18. Thanks for the feedback. I’m definitely lacking the parts. That’s why I put the LDD (and Mecabricks) file online to the public for free: in the hope someone can build it for real and provide feedback if it works or not.
  19. What errors do you get ? It’s not clear from your post. I have LDD 4.3.11 with part updates working on Win10 (fresh install). So it can work (in theory).
  20. Yeah seems like it. Actually I’m quite sure Lego designers love our unofficial parts updates.
  21. I made a digital version of the Dune (2021) movie Ornithoptor. LDD File here: https://github.com/sttng/LDD/blob/master/Dune2021_Ornithoptor05.lxf Some renderings using Mecabricks (https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/AbjpWqWQ25y): The knob at the back section is (theoretically) used to make the wings flap via an internal gears mechanism:
  22. Then I guess the error might be really somewhere up ? Maybe try to convert the file to a ANSI ASCII file (using notepadd++). Might be some Unicode character somewhere which misses it up ? As a sidenote afaik LDD2POV-Rays source code isn't available, is it ?
  23. I would put Line 28 into a comment block....
  24. I guess B*transpose(A) is what you are looking for ? Also be aware the Matrix(1,2,....12) is a transformation matrix (which also contains movement in x,y,z axis) and not only a rotation matrix as far as I remember.
