Same here. I got into collecting UCS Lego just as the 10188 was retiring. I passed on it due to the outdated mini figures and overall look of the structure. If this set has the new and nicely updated mini figures plus a nicer shape I will definitely consider it as well ;) I just finished putting the Ewok Village together and it is a nice display piece besides being a play set. A lot to look at and it captured the scenes from the movie really well. I passed on Assault on Hoth because it it looked like a disjointed mess of pieces. Still have hope for this new Death Star!

Don't think it will be delayed. The Lego store calendar for September was already released and it mentioned two VIP early access sets. One is the train and the other has to be the Death Star. I would expect a reveal within the next two weeks of Lego sticks to their release pattern.

Pic is verified real. These are his A New Hope duds so I would think Death Star and not Skiff.

It is in the 2016 rumor thread as this is believed to be coming with the UCS Death Star.

Interesting that this new look wasn't in the recent Lego Force Awakens game.

Based on the patterns over the last few months, I would guess a Mid August reveal (Comic Con maybe) and VIP access in mid September with an October 1 release date (which happens to be when all of the Rogue One merch comes out). All the stars are appearing to align ;)

Hopefully we see this at Star Wars Celebration this weekend. Seems like a good place to debut it. If not, I am guessing Mid August as that seems to be the pattern lately with the D2C releases.

Glad that it will be bigger but I hope it looks a little more like a Death Star. The last set was great but I thought it was kind of ugly.

An UCS set of Kylo Ren's shuttle would be cool. Imagine the size of the wings ;)

One of the guys on the forum who is in the know said the UCS Death Star is coming in October. I think early VIP access will be in Sept.

One was supposedly spotted behind closed doors at Toy Fair last year - with lights as well. Could have been a prototype but it shows Lego was at least thinking about it. I think with it featuring prominently in the new trilogy and the new Han Solo movie coming it's a good bet a remake can be coming.

My money is on the Star Destroyer. Would love to see an updated design just like I am sure they are going to do with the Snowspeeder next year. I also remember one of the designers mentioning he would love to do a UCS Star Destroyer. Here's hoping he is lobbying TLG to do one!

Love your work - definitely an inspiration for me. Looking forward to the Blockade Runner as that and the ISD are on my want list.

Lol doubt that. I think they want to forget about this set and move on. I hope it is discounted at some point, then I might consider it.

I have kids and I can't see myself spending $250 on a Lego set for them. The most I have ever spent for my kids was $180 on a set. Even then I got flack from my wife for spending that much ;) This set should have never existed. They were better off releasing smaller Hoth sets like they have been. At least then it would be an easier pill to swallow. So they want kids to spend $250 for this and then another $110 for the AtAt (if only it were still in production) to complete the assault?? I think they are a little out of touch here and have forgotten what the UCS line is all about.

Yeah it would need to be 50% off like the UCS B-Wing was a few years ago. I am saving the money I would have spent on Hoth to put towards my bricklinked Falcon ;)

They released Assault on Hoth during a double VIP event so why not. More of an incentive to drive sales on the already pricey UCS sets. I'm sure the Death Star will be $400+ when it is released. i can't see the UCS Snowspeeder being mini figure scale - it would be too small.

Ooh wonder if it will be unveiled at Star Wars celebration in July...
