I missed out on almost all of it due to having my lego dark ages sadly when these sets came out. So any sets of harry potter are exciting as I missed the first time.

It should fit them well at least two of them, theres always the option to mod it. And I like your camp site idea.

When i saw it they had a few pictures, one showed the inside of the lair and it looked reasonably detailed. I doubt they're still up so hopefully we'll get better pictures closer to 2018.

LEGO Island 20th Anniversary - Full Island Built In Real Life!
Koori replied to Brians Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Oh wow the nostalgia this brings back. -
The only set grabbing my interest so far is the Logging vehicle. I'm keen to see how they do the mining sets next year though.

Got to admit that volcano lair looks kind of cool.

My thoughts on what I've seen so far... - Moving on from dragons make sense but I'm not really a fan of these new creatures. It was the dragons that got me interested in elves to begin with. - bat villains...kind of weird but yet I thought that the goblins and I grew to like them. - Not a lot of new buildings, I really like the Elves style of buildings, they fitted into my more castle orientated interests, but there may be more in the summer lineup (winter for us). -I'll see what the final images are like, I might change my mind but so far its not as good as previous years...

I missed out on the harry potter sets last time. A big regret of mine so even if it is only a rumour it makes me extremely excited.

LEGO Elves 2017 Discussion
Koori replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I hope it continues, Elves have been a way better theme than *cough* Nexo. And all the figures including the goblins have been great additions to my castle town, the sets too with minor modifications of course. The theme itself is very useful for fantasy displays/mocs and despite it being in the girls range it has appeal to both genders. -
I've actually turned to adapting certain sets and swapping out colors to suit a more more medieval look. I used starlight inn (Elves) and with minor alterations such as removing the pinks and purple to make a decent looking medieval inn for my medieval town. I used the Lego friends stable and modification I managed to turn it into a convincing medieval stable and storage warehouse. You can also use ninjago sets as they have useful elements in them.

My first Lego set was the water jet in 1996, very small but I loved it and still have it. http://brickset.com/sets/6517-1/Water-Jet

Koori replied to djm's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I know this is really late but I went to it, I've got some photos from it. It was very busy and hard to move but the displays were pretty cool and this being one of well (the only real lego event) in NZ its worth going to.- 2 replies

I can relate to that issue, I've saw clone wars on dvd through the local dvd rental store because up till July last year we never had Sky , but now we do so the content you see on normal tv (here at least) is either really behind or been played to death on sky and thus is cheap for normal tv viewers to watch. You never know it might come on normal tv, but if you keen you could rent the dvd or as you said buy it if your really keen.

Sadly we're a little behind so Protector of Concord dawn is on next weekend. But being the internet, its not hard for things to get leaked so it sounds like it'll be a good episode.

Where I live the local toy stores know me by face, but according to the guy behind the counters it quite common to see adults or teens buy lego now. But there are those who still find it odd to see an adult excited over a box of lego. But at the end of the day Its money I've earned by working so I see no reason to feel shame over it.

I read that Princess on Lothal was not that great but after actually watching it I don't see why people made so much fuss over it. I liked the way she was introduced.

It seems the friends range has taken over the medical/vet area of late, which is not so bad. I mean the buildings in that range can be adapted but I hope there will be a city hospital as the figures would fit in better.
-
The last hospital set that came out was in 2012, I've not seen another one since. It was more like a clinic but I used it and it fits in okay but it was retired some time ago so I'd say Legos due to release a new one soon.
