Hi, I see a lot of off-road creations with RC tires on lego rims, i was wondering: How can you tell whether the RC tires will fit on the rims? Do you have to bend them a little bit for them to fit?

Mounting AAA battery box

Thanks man. Wow, i never knew that the AA one was literally more than double the weight of the other two. -
Mounting AAA battery box
ez3141 replied to Billant's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey, does anyone know the exact difference in weight between the 3 different battery boxes (like in grams or something)? (Preferably with batteries installed because AA weight much more than AAA). I only have the AA one. -
Need Help Building 4x4

Thanks, I'm a big fan of Madoca's creations. Also, does anyone know if physical Lego Stores sell individual Power Functions motors and such? -
Need Help Building 4x4
ez3141 replied to ez3141's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the help, everyone! I will experiment with changing up the suspension and I will be sure to check out Sariel's book, as well as browsing around Eurobricks and such. -
Hello, I am ez3141, and I am (evidently) new to Eurobricks. I am also quite new to the whole Technic system, which I only started to get into a few weeks ago. Recently I got the 42029 Customized Pickup Truck, which I added full Power Functions RC to, and also modified the front end a bit. Now, I am looking into converting it to a 4x4 model to be much better for off-roading. So, I am looking for help from any Technic builders who are experienced with building 4x4 off-road vehicles as well as familiar with the setup of the set itself. I would like to know a couple of things: What kind of specific pieces (sockets, connectors, joints, etc.) should I use to provide power to the front (steering) wheels? (I know how to for the back wheels, because they don't steer) Also, should I continue just using 1 XL motor for drive, or would 2 XL motors put too much torque/strain on the pieces? As well as just any other general tips when building/modifying these types of vehicles. I am willing to give up the fake engine and the winch/tipping bed if it is necessary to move the motors to the front hood area. Thanks in advance to anyone who gives me help; I look forward to becoming a more active member of the forum. Here's a picture of the truck (btw I'm planning to get bigger tires/rims for it soon!):

They should make a full-RC 6x6 with Power Pullers (or even bigger tires!) and some crazy suspension. That would be cool.

Gee Golly Dandy, A small trade boat
ez3141 replied to Mr. Townsend's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice, small yet detailed. Could you post a photo of the minifigure by himself? -
It's funny how Lego gives the crooks crowbars and explosives that they could use to terrorize civilians, and then expects the police to take them down using a megaphone and handcuffs.

Nice! Quite an iconic vehicle (at least nowadays). I would recommend using at least one wedge brick on the front rather than stacking all those wedge plates, to eliminate all those gaps from the pieces.

Hello everyone, my (user)name is ez3141! This is my first post on Eurobricks. A little about my Lego history: Within the System system, I have been previously particularly interested in medieval/fantasy, as well as sci-fi/space exploration. Currently, I have a modest little custom city setup that is still being developed, and I will likely share pictures of my city so far. Lately, I have been getting interested with the Technic/Power Functions world. My first experience with Technic in a long time was when I recently modified my Customized Pickup Truck into a full RC mod, which I will certainly make a post about later. I look forward to taking part in discussions and posting about my MOCs!
