  1. Have a good day, Big Cam!
  2. Unfortunately though, we don't have an official LEGO store up here. This is really my only chance to go to the BAM, so I'm happy to have it under a tenner. I really hope we get a store up here soon, because I think it's really unfair how England have quite a few, Wales have one, and we have none.
  3. Vey nice pub, Leanne! I like the interior a lot, and the outside is definetely in the style of a lot of pubs. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
  4. A coffee shop sounds good. I hope it's not a modular, though. As much as I love them, they're too expensive. I hope that if it is going to be released, it's got nice civilian minifigs and lots of good accessories.
  5. Actually, I think that you're right. I seem to recall them having a hole in the middle of each floor, so I think they should have put banisters in. And I hear where you're coming from about the prices - I can only afford the smallest set of each theme !
  6. The Hulk. As you can probably tell, my brother loves super heroes. I dont get why the Hulk is classed as a super hero, though. He's a giant, angry, green oaf who goes around smashing everything... personally, I don't see how that adds to society . Anyway, the film's okay. Nothing too special, but not terrible.
  7. Thank you, Catanas, for yet another fantastic review, with that lovely comic at the end! The set definetely looks great from the outside. All that beautiful purple, and the nice design at the back. However, the interior let's it down a lot. Why one earth is there no floor? I understand that on the third storey that they need the chandelier to hang down, but why not on the second floor? On the box, Harry must be floating or something (then again, he is a wizard...). The bed on the first floor is quite simple yet good, and the minifigures are pretty decent. I agree that Stan's face is too old looking, but IMO it's an improvement on the last one. Thanks again for another excellent and surprisingly early review of the HP sets (maybe BfH next ?)!
  8. Thank you for this valuable information! This actually sounds like a very interesting set to me. Apart from the fact that there's no Rebel troopers, the minifigure selection sounds quite good. I think that the red protocol Droid will be very nice, and the injured Luke sounds like a very good concept. What's the Leia like? Does she have a new torso print, and does she have the new MF hairpiece? I like the idea of a hospital area, and the vehicles sound quite good. I'm glad were getting another Taun-Taun, because I never got the last one. It sounds like a decent sized set, if it is around the size of the BoE. May I ask what the exterior looks like? Is it nothing like the real thing, or is it actually true to the film? Thanks again for the information! And thank you omot and Bane for the links to the review!
  9. £4.99 sounds like a much fairer price. I hope they don't go up in price and that there's good parts when I go down.
  10. Same here. I've read quite few bad reviews, but I'm still going to see it. Anyway, I think we should get back on topic - the LEGO! When does anyone think we will see images of the Black Pearl? I wonder if they'll do another Pet Shop on us, and only show us images when it's actually released (I certainly hope not!)?
  11. Thanks. I'm planning on going to LEGOLand during the summer. If there's only one minifigure I want, I'll pay the £3.50. If there's two though, I'll just get a third one seeing as it would cost the same.
  12. Sorry, I can't help you by buying any of them, I only trade. But I think eBay might be a good place to sell LEGO in bulk. I hope you get the money you need by going there.
  13. I've never been to one, so I can't really answer the question. I have a question of my own, though, and I didn't want to start a new thread. Can you buy a single fig or two figures for a lower price, or do you have to buy 3 for £10? I'm guessing there'd at least be one figure I'd be willing to buy, but not 3 for that price if they're not ones I want.
  14. I like pop music, in particular Lady GaGa. I also really like Rihanna and Katy Perry. Just the usual people that are popular over here .
  15. When is it that is coming out? I seem to remember it was some time in June or July, but I'm not sure.
  16. I watched Iron Man 2 last night. I've seen it quite a few times because my little brother loves it. The acting isn't all that great (even though there's some rather famous cast members), and it's very unrealistic. However, the special effects are excellent, and there's some good action scenes. I'd love to see the Iron Man films made into LEGO sets, they'd have a lot of great parts.
  17. Well done, Man with a Hat! I like the rounded roof a lot and the whole exterior is excellent. The garden is a nice touch, and the interior is excellent. Some more photos of the inside would be nice. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
  18. It really is stunning when you see it all together. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final model. Well done!
  19. Thanks for the great review! This is one of the best of the PotC sets IMO, as it has so many excellent parts and minifigs. The build is too simple I think, but the abundance of new and interesting parts makes up for that. The Elizabeth fig is my second favourite (Syrena just beats her by a tiny bit!) of the whole line, so that's another good reason to get this. I'm just not sure whether to get this, the Captain's Cabin, Freeing Dobby or the Forbidden forest (as you can tell, I have a very low LEGO budget ). Thanks again for the great review!
  20. Looks excellent, Lightning Tiger! The pay phone and ATM are very well designed. The shops look good so far. One thing I think would make it better would be to make the people on the decals minifigures, but that would probably be very hard, and it's still great with the humans on it. Well done, I look forward to the next update!
  21. Thanks for sharing this excellent first review! The photos are excellent! The set looks very nice. It's got a lot of lovely parts, like the bottle, the pearl gold parts and the treasure. The carriage is a lot better than the last edition, and the trees are nice. Thanks again for the review!
  22. That's excellent, Gabe! I agree that the different shades and sizes really add to this great piece of work. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
  23. I saw this on Flickr earlier today. It's a very good start, and looks very sturdy. However, I think you should make it more crooked, and pint more trees and odd plants outside. An interior would be nice too. Well done, and I look forward to seeing it done!
  24. I agree that LEGO do have the stupid idea that girls only like pink. But honestly, I don't mind. I lack pink bricks, so I'm always happy to see pink parts pop up now and again. However, I don't like that everything is pink. It just doesn't fit in with normal sets. I just hope that this time LEGO get it right - some pink, but not so much that it becomes ridiculous. I'd be very glad to see either a city/town theme aimed slightly more at girls or a fairytale theme. A town theme would possibly mean cafes, restaurants, shops, leisure places and more casual female minifigs. A fairytale theme could mean dresses, castles, medieval villages and mythical creatures. If any of those things would be made, I'm sure they'd have a few nice new or re-coloured parts.
  25. Thanks for the excellent, early, first review! The photos are actually very good, considering how old the camera is, so well done for that! And the comic at the end is excellent, too. The set is very good value for money, I think. 1 exclusive, female minifig, 2 minifigs that have only previously appeared in one other set and another Harry (good for the uniform collection). There's also not a bad collection of parts (mushroom, blue flames, snake). The tree is nicely designed IMO, but k wish it was all brown rather than black and brown. Really, my only issue is that the printing Narcissa's hairpiece should be blonder, and there should be more of it to make it accurate. However, I don't mind this too much as any new hair variations are good to me! Well done again, and thank you for sharing it!
