Free LEGO promotion with UK Sun and News of the World
Gregorovich replied to pedro's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Legojazzbricks ? I seem to remember that that person had a "Taking a Break" badge for a while. I'm guessing they must've got banned, and made a new account... Anyway, I never managed to get Jack today ! I never got a chance to go into town today, so I don't even know if they were sold out or not. I'm just praying (but I highly doubt) that they'll still have some left when I go to there next. -
My thoughts exactly!

I'm actually happy they've included an interior. IMO, things with no interior are kind of boring. And some people are complaining about the bottom half not being accurate, but why does that matter? The top looks brilliant, so why would you be looking at the bottom half anyway? Have any of the summer wave sets appeared yet? A lot of the other summer sets (Alien Conquest, City harbour, Kingdoms) have all arrived, so I'd expect these to arrive sometime soon.

Thanks, buddy! This is certainly fantastic value for money, with a fully coated Jack, a bottle and swords. I really hope I get the chance to pick this up today. Thanks again for the nice review!
-
Thanks! This does seem quite nice, and a nice army builder. However, the ADU troopers' faces are the two that come in the two smallest sets, and I'm not an army builder, so I don't think I'll be getting this.

Well done, Commander Laquiet! The building is very good, and it would fit in nicely in the Historic themes forum. I like the story you've made up, and the furniture is nice. Overall it's a very nice and fun MOC, so well done and thanks for sharing!

Clever techniques, nice vehicles, excellent building facades and loads of details - you've just got to love this. Well done, and thanks for sharing this with us!

I'm not on a PC or Mac, so I can't see the link. What faces do the ADU troopers have? I'm hoping for the female and the elderly man... Thanks for the news, though!

Don't know if anyone's noticed, but the coins come in 1's and 2's! I seem to remember people saying that they were only in 10's. Thanks for this news, I hope that if I get one of the sets that the coins and bars are already chromed.

Free LEGO promotion with UK Sun and News of the World
Gregorovich replied to pedro's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Previously, it's just been that one token for that specific set to get it. Unfortunately they're only available for one day . I'm glad that the Jack is available on the weekend, as I don't have time to do go out during the week ! -
Thanks for the great review, Final Exit! The minifigures are excellent, with a new female outfit and head, a new alien torso and the squidman legs in green. The set is quite nice, but it's not really mothership material. It lacks a lot, like rooms and guns. It's also too expensive. I just checked there, and I now understand this comment. Made me laugh . Thanks again!

Thanks, Grogall! The street looks so beautiful. The height differences make it look more realistic I think, seeing as real buildings aren't all the same heights. I really wish I had all of them, but they're just too expensive for me ! And is anyone up to doing a review of the Pet Shop? I'd be really grateful, thanks!

D2C Contest: Temple of Anubis
Gregorovich replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is excellent! I gave this entry one point. I definetely would have given it more, but there was just too many excellent entries to give a single MOC more than one vote! I'm sorry you didn't win, but I think your entry was good enough. I really like all of the details. The map puzzle is a really ingenious idea, and there's a lot of nice play features, which is like a real set. I think there's a bit too much minifigs for a real set, but the building and the plane are definetely D2C standard. Well done, and thanks for sharing! -
Excellent modular, Follows Closely! It's very well designed, and I love the colour scheme. The tiled floor is very nice, and the shelves are good. But why is there an apple, a chicken leg and snakes on sale at a sweets shop ? And is there an interior upstairs? Very nice work, thanks for sharing it. Well done!

Thanks, Big Cam! Although I've already been told how to do it all on an iPod, I'm sure that information will be very useful for Android users. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 poll
Gregorovich replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I know, I read that too. I'm just saying that if they had stopped at 5, that's how I'd feel. I've got a post there. That's how I got my beautiful cheerleader minifig! But I'm saying that I'd rather lose a couple of pounds than trade LEGO I already have. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 poll
Gregorovich replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I voted for the Cavewoman because she has a brand new hairpiece in dark orange (a colour that i don't have a lot of), a nice face, and she's a nice companion to the S1 Caveman. The Small Clown and the Zookeeper were a close second and third, though. I love that new pie mould, and the Zookeeper's face, monkey and outfit are great. I would be very disappointed if these ended at 5. CM's are such an excellent source of brilliant parts and prints, and, although they're expensive, they are fun to collect. Unfortunately, I have a total of 0 complete series . There's a few that I really wish I had got (zombie, surfer, magician, pharaoh), but others not so much (wrestler, explorer). I also just wish I'd gotten at least one full series, just for the feeling of completion. There's still a chance to get Series 4 and 5, though! -
Our first Eurobricks Special LEGO Themes Regulator
Gregorovich replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Good choice, Whitefang, and good luck, Rufus! Congratulations, I'm sure you'll make a great addition to the EB staff. The new badge is a little different from the usual star, but it's great! -
Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) Results!

Well done to all the winners! You all thoroughly deserved it, and I hope you enjoy your prizes. -
These are excellent, everyone! I've taken a few shots of the Princess minifig in outdoor settings: The Princess in the Grand Hall by Gregorovich9, on Flickr Although the gaps are too big, I thought that the wood on my balcony looked like the floor of a grand hall. The Princess in the Forest by Gregorovich9, on Flickr This is my favourite background, but the sun glared in her face too much, and it's come up all blurry. The Princess in the Meadow by Gregorovich9, on Flickr Other than the fact that her face is a little blurry, I think this one turned out alright.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Gregorovich replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like the tent! Clever idea to put it on a baseplate, to allow it to sit at an angle. And it's also nice to see some minifigures in it. Well done, and I look forward to the next update! -
REVIEW: CREATOR 5770 Lighthouse Island
Gregorovich replied to Pandora's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the great review, Pandora! This set is very good. I love how the Creator sets have 3 seperate builds. The Lighthouse and Fish Cafe are both excellent, but I don't really like the boat house. The interiors are too empty I think, but Creator sets have never really had interiors. The play features seem quite good, especially the Light brick as the grill. Could you possibly post a photo of it lit up, please? Thanks again for the great review! -
Looking for a few torsos
Gregorovich replied to Still Raindrop's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have a spare starry vest-top. If you're interested, and you are in the UK, just send a me PM and I'll tell you what I'm looking for. Thanks! -
Good work, Oky Wan Kenobi! There's a lot of fantastic details in this, my favourite being the chamber that Nora's in. I like the colour scheme a lot, too. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
