Thanks, Eskallon, for that trailer. I hadn't seen that one yet. It certainly is shaping up to be one of the best films of the year IMO. But I've got one question: why does Harry jump off the tower? It doesn't happen in the book...

Although TLG would never make this because it's not exactly what kids seem to be interested in, it's still a fantastic entry. I love the shipwreck, and the beast is great. There's not a lot of interior details that are cafe related, but the exterior is beautiful. Well done, and good luck!

As a huge Harry Potter fan, I'm extremely excited about the upcoming film. I have read all of the books twice, and the DH is my favourite. I'm very sad that this is the end of the Harry Potter series; it's the end of one of the most celebrated book/film series ever. It was what made a lot of children interested in reading, it's been a huge success for the British film industry, and it made magic "cool" again; but I'm very happy to see my favourite book being made into a film at last. I can't wait to see the film adaptation of this wonderful book. I certainly hope that it's as good as part 1, or better. I'm most looking forward to the Gringotts scene, as Helena Bonhom Carter is one of my favourite actresses in the film, and I love treasure. And, of course, the Battle for Hogwarts should be fantastic. I certainly hope they do it justice! Please post your comments on the film here, plus any news you find about it. Thanks. I know. It says they were created specially in Denmark for this, so I think they may be officially created by LEGO. I really wish they released these as a promo or something, because I really want them both!

I found this article on the BBC website. It's a simply astounding MOC of Westminster Abbey, complete with brilliant custom minifigures. I really want that Kate minifigure! It was built by four very talented AFOL's in Manchester. I can't quite describe the magnificence of this, so here's the link. It's supposed to be on show at the LEGO Show in Manchester this weekend. I don't know if any of them are members here, but if they are, well done!

Well if there is going to be a Series 6, they'd be coming out in 2012. I don't think we usually hear about sets arriving the next year until about August at the very earliest.

Well LEGO is a kids' toy ! But I agree that it is very disappointing. I was rather excited about this, but it's just a box of rubbish. Almost all the previous Advent calendars have at least had a few interesting parts or models, but this is just boring parts put into useless mini-models. If they'd included some sort of atmosphere items (a patch of ground and plants from Endor, etc...) I'd be much more interested. But this is intended for children, so I'm guessing they'll be more interested in this than the rest of us.

Some of these are hilarious! I'll try and get some of my own up, but first I need to think them up.

I certainly don't want there to be a Gorrilla minifig! I like completely new minifigures, and a Gorrilla would just be the Gorrilla Suit Guy but with a different head underneath and no zip on his back.

This is very good! The upside down gates are really nice, and there's plenty of great techniques throughout. If you added some divers, removed a few squids and added a red submarine this could make for a great D2C set, and you could've entered it into the contest. Well done, and thanks for sharing!

Count me in! I'd love to play another Mafia game, and I bet this one will be brilliant. 1. Not that I'm aware of. I may have to go away a couple of times, but not for days at a time. I'll almost certainly have access to the Internet. 2. Yes I have. However, I was not a great player. I was an innocent, but I got convicted on day five. No one seemed to care that they'd wrongly convicted me, which leads me to think I wasn't the best person to play alongside. 3. My favourite animal is a Tree-Frog or a Poison Dart Frog. Their eyes are so cool ! My favourite Fabuland figure there is probably the Fox, but the Pig is a close second.

Over in the Kingdoms discussion thread, someone mentioned that these were available in TRU's over in the US. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were, seeing as all the summer sets are already in stock. So if anyone over in the USA wants to do a review of them, please do!
