I agree. Although the figures are excellent, the set should be about the set. I actually think they may have changed the ending. In the trailer Eskallon posted in the thread about the film (Culture & Multimedia), Harry and Voldemort jump off a bridge into a seemingly bottomless pit . It could be related to something in the book though, we'll see when the film's released. Sorry about the off topic-ness!

What was the last movie you watched?
Gregorovich replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom last night. I've seen ot at least 30 times (my brother is obsessed with it), but I still enjoy it. Even though it's pretty fake, it's fun to see. It makes me wish we got more Temple of Doom sets in the Indiana Jones LEGO theme, though . I've never heard of that, but I have seen Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (I'm guessing they're very similar). When I watched it, I kept wondering if it was an actual film it was that terrible. We just couldn't stop laughing at the shockingly bad acting and the shark and octopus. So, it was either an extremely disastrous action film, or a very successful comedy . -
Thanks! I don't know if they'd use the White CSI style gloves in this situation, but it looks cool Thanks! It was a pink jewel last time - the pink one's still in the chest, it's just the police lady seems to have a different colour preference . About the white globe trick, thanks, but what is it? Thanks again!

Exactly. But also, I think you should remember, this is just an advert, why does it matter ?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Gregorovich replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks! Although your photos answered a lot of my original questions, they've actually raised a few, too. Is the cavegirl's hairpiece made of the same rubbery plastic as the punk rocker's and the mad scientist's? Also, can you definetely confirm that the boxer's gloves are attached, or is they can be removed? And one last question, how did you manage to get your hands on these? Thanks in advance! -
So I decided to take LightningTiger's advice, and made a follow up to the "Midnight Heist" vig. The Escape by Gregorovich9, on Flickr Following the robbery at the museum the previous night, two police officers arrived at the residence of a woman with a history of theft. They knocked and waited 3 times, but there was no reply. They battered the door down, and inside they found the treasure lying in the middle of the room. The criminal, however, was nowhere to be seen. There was now no doubt that she was the thief, and so they could now safely return the treasure to the museum. Now, though, the question was no longer where was the treasure, but rather where was she? The Escape 2 by Gregorovich9, on Flickr A close up of the interior. You can see the wall panelling, the treasure, the officers and the rather sparse furnishings. The Escape 4 by Gregorovich9, on Flickr The light fixture. The Escape 6 by Gregorovich9, on Flickr The rather bad looking exterior. I wanted to make the interior Walls White with wooden panels, and the outside tan, to make it seem as though the inside had been decorated. And now, for the surprise! The Escape 5 by Gregorovich9, on Flickr The thief has successfully managed to evade the police, by climbing onto the roof of the house...for now. The Escape 7 by Gregorovich9, on Flickr And lastly, a photo without the figs. I'm not sure why this is so blue . Thanks for looking! Comments are very welcome, but I can't actually make any improvements, because it's already been destroyed. I'm planning on making one last vignette in this series, so stay tuned!

Looks great, well done! I like the classic town feel. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with this!

Vignette: Midnight Heist
Gregorovich replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks, I'm glad you do! Damn it ! I always get confused with the AMs and PMs. I'm just going to change it to midnight, it's easier for me. But thanks for your nice comments, anyway! -
What was the last movie you watched?
Gregorovich replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Tron Legacy. The acting and story is alright, but the special effects are just stunning. The way they made the Clue character's face out of effects is quite amazing, and all the neon lights were beautiful. It was a real pleasure to watch, I'd recommend this to everyone! -
Vignette: Midnight Heist

Thanks. That's a good idea, I might just do that. I'm planning a few other vignettes from different themes though, so it might be a while before I can do that. -
Vignette: Midnight Heist
Gregorovich replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks? But funnily enough, this isn't based on Catwoman. I was planning on putting two figures in (one male, one female) and she would be his assistant, but it looked a bit too crowded. I like female figs better, so I kept her in instead of the male thief. -
I'm sorry to say, but there's no such thing as a "British accent". Different places in the UK have different accents. Scottish people sound totally different from English people, just as Irish people sound different from the Welsh. And even after we distinguish the different countries' accents, there's different accents throughout the communities and regions. For example, people from Essex could sound completely different from those from Liverpool. We also have slightly differing dialects, even in the same countries. For example, whereas most people say "know", the people of Edinburgh might prefer to say "ken", etc... So with that said, I'm guessing you mean you love one of the English accents, not this phoney "British" one you speak of .

I'm glad your new sets finally arrived! It was almost worth the wait, though, as they add a lot to your city. I love how it keeps evolving to be better and better, and it looks great. Well done, and thanks for sharing!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Gregorovich replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the links! These pictures confirm quite a few things for me. It seems that the boxer's head is double sided, the zookeeper's hair is reddish brown (not dark brown), the detective's magnifying glass is a new colour, and the bags are light blue. I'm quite happy about most of these things. I think it would have been better if the bags were a more significantly different colour (like red, purple or pink), but that hardly matters. I hope that seeing how the boxer's head is double sided, that more figures will have two expressions in future series. Thanks again! -

I'm not sure. None of the other CMs have had dual sided heads, so I don't think it's likely. I think he'll have one or the other, not both. However, I hope you're right, and that more of these end up with double sided heads. It's not impossible, is it? -

Still no news on the Black Pearl? I thought that by now we'd at least have some information, other than the things we saw at the Toy Fair. -
Nice modular, LegoCityMann. The interior has a lotof nice details, my favourites being the dance mat and the driving simulator. True, the prizes are a little odd, but that's only a minor detail. Well done, and thanks for sharing!

Yes, this certainly does suffice! From what I can see, it's an excellent creation, filled with great details. There's some great designs in there, that I may copy some time if you don't mind . Well done, and thanks for sharing! And welcome to Eurobricks!

Thanks! New pictures are always nice to get. I really like all the sets, even if they do have some flaws. Thank you, also! Somehow, this review makes me like the set a little more, even though I can't read the comments. The figures are very nice, especially Luke. I like the exterior, however much everyone else seems to hate it. it's a nice set, so if I get enough money, I might just pick this up.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Gregorovich replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My younger brother received the summer edition of the LEGO Club magazine today, and I decided to have a quick flick through it. Inside was a game related to the Series 5 Minifigures. There was pictures of the minifigures in new poses, but something that caught my eye was that the boxer had a new face. It was a beaten up face, with a black eye and a worried expression. I think that this is could be final, and not just for the picture, seeing as the rest of them had the same expression, including the Clown who was being clobbered by the Cavewoman. I'll try and upload a photo, but my Flickr doesn't seem to be working. -
I'm proud to be British - most of the time. There's a lot of great moments in our history that we have a right to be proud of. However, a lot of the things that go on make me feel a little ashamed. The sectarianism and racism that goes on in our football, the drunken imbeciles that roam our streets, and the level of crime in our towns and cities. But overall I'm very happy with the country I live in. If you think about it, we live in a great community, and I'm very grateful for it.

Very creative! I like it's drawing-like feel, it's very original. It's very good, well done!

Thanks The Yellow Brick for sharing that! It was really fun and interesting to watch, and it showed a lot of the excellent details.

Ambush at the Mausoleum (MOC)
Gregorovich replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Beautiful MOC, Sirens of Titan! I just love the details on the building, like the roof and the rounded windows. I also like that you pay a lot of attention to the minifigs, and how you give them names and backgrounds. It's just an all-round amazing creation, so well done. And thanks for sharing this with us all!
