Very interesting and humorous review, The Penguin! It's an alright set, with a few good accessories, but your commentary really made this great to read. Thank you!

CONTEST: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
Gregorovich replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Don't worry about the voting. Almost all EB contests are put to a public vote, and they're usually very fair. The staff have their own ways of telling if people are making seperate accounts to vote for themselves. -
Was Dengar ever in Jabba's Palace? I certainly don't remember it, but please tell me if he was. Anyway, I too really want a Jabba's Palace: Jabba with printing(nowadays, almost everyone has printing), most likely redesigned slave Leia, hopefully all those creatures he has, another chance to get Bib Fortuna, and (really wishful thinking) a Rankor! If it had most of those things, and it wasn't too pricey, I'd get it for sure.

I knew that. I just don't like buying off the internet . I suppose I'll just keep waiting until ASDA gets them, because I noticed that they sell them for £5, whereas most shops sell them for around £8.
-
Most of you are right about why they shouldn't/couldn't be made into themes, but remember: this thread's about Dream LEGO Licenses!

I think that you're meant to put the treasure chest on the brown brick, then push that handle down so that the chest flies off. I think it seems like it'll work quite well.

Thanks for the pictures, Grogall! I wish we could get a proper view of the Mill Village Raid, though. The sets look great. I just noticed that the King's Carriage has a door, which makes it much more realistic than the last version. The Blacksmith Attack looks like a great little parts pack, seeing as it has a bucket, weapons, a chicken and a golden rock. The Dragon Knight Prison looks great, as it focuses more on the Dragon Knights. I hope that next year we get a proper castle, though.

Search for the Desert Temple
Gregorovich replied to TooMuchCaffeine's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent work, TooMuchCaffeine! The plane is excellent, and the temple, small as it is, looks terrific. The flying bug also looks great, and certainly fits in with the PQ guardians. I hope you can find the un-photoshopped images of this, because it would be a really great entry. Well done, and thanks for sharing! -
Thanks for those links. I don't actually recognise that ship at all, but, as I said before, I'm not good with ships.
-
It's a nice MOC, with some great techniques. It's a humorous scenario, and it looks good. However, it's just not something that I could see ever becoming a set. Other than the walker, there's nothing to play with, really. There's no action features or structures. It's basically just a flat bit of ground with some weeds, sea creatures and a walker. I think that if you focused more on the vehicle, added some sort of structure and included a play feature, it would be much better. Good luck with the contest!

The new Dengar is brilliant, and it's nice to get a set with a few of the Bounty Hunters plus Vader and an officer. The ship however, doesn't interest me at all. I'm guessing that there's no interior and that it's going to cost a lot, so I don't really care for this set. Thanks whung for the pictures, though. I'm hoping for a Jabba's Palace set some time this year. We need an updated one, and if it's going to be an exclusive, then it'll most likely be really good.

D2C Contest: Temple of Amset Ra
Gregorovich replied to Gabe's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is absolutely stunning, Gabe! The architecture is wonderful, and the play features are great. The storyline is also very good; an Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull meets Pharaoh's Quest? There's nothing I don't like about this. Good luck in the contest, and well done! -
So they are available, then. At my ASDA (which is basically the British equivalent of WalMart, seeing as it's part of the WalMart family) they only had the Red Ninja, the Black Ninja and Krazi. I'll have to check back there soon to see if they've got the second wave.

I was looking through all the topics I've made, and it turns out that I made a similar thread a while ago. I don't know if the one I made is the original one, but it could be. EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice Oky Wan Kenobi had already posted the link.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Gregorovich replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The one in the New Cross Shopping Centre and the one next to Homebase in Hamilton. I would go to other shops, but I don't have my own car yet, so I either need to get a lift or walk to places. -
There's already a thread for this, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, I would love to see a return of the Orient Expedition, but it could be called, for example, Oriental Quest or something. I'd love to see big Asian temples, filled with traps and secrets, with lovely details. I'd also love a Jungle/Amazonian theme, with booby-trapped pyramids, secret temples and lots of plants and trees. I sadly missed out on this theme, so I'd love to get another chance to have sets like them.

The only two shops in my town that have spinners are Argos and ASDA. Unfortunately, neither of them had the Nya spinner, and she's not stocked on their websites, either. On Brickset, it says that the 2nd wave of spinners (Nya, Lord Garmadon, Wyplash etc.) are all available, but I can't find anywhere that actually has them. Has anyone else seen these in shops or got them?

Today I got 1x Series 4 minifigure (which turned out to be a Rock Star) and the PQ Impulse set with the beetle (can't remember it's name).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Gregorovich replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For some reason, my Argos didn't have any Minifigures, so I had to use he feel method at WHSmith. I was looking for the Figure Skater, but I couldn't seem to find her. I just took a random bag from the back. It turned out to be the Rock Star, who's a pretty good figure. I like his guitar and his hairpiece. I didn't have any quality problems with this figure, but I've noticed that all the series 4 figures' hands are difficult to rotate. Could someone please post the ordering of minifigures in the UK boxes? I mean like which fig is placed where in the sealed boxes (e.g. the Giesha is second to the back in the left row (made up))? -
After reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the second time, I was in a Harry Potter-ish mood (you know, after reading an interesting book or watching a good film, you just feel like being in it the story ). So I chose the name Gregorovich, because he's got a cool name . It was only after I made my name, however, that I realised it was spelt Gregorovitch .

I got my first PQ set (the impulse one with the beetle) today. I must say, you get a lot of great parts for such a cheap set! And the beetle's design is very nice. I really like this line, and I hope that there's either more sets, or another adventurer's theme soon.

D2C Contest: Garmadons Ultimate Dark Fortress
Gregorovich replied to lisqr's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent entry, lisqr! It looks really good, and, as others have said before me, it's fantastic play feature fits perfectly with the wacky theme of NinjaGO. The only problem is that its a bit plain. If you added flames, bones and a bit kf colour it would lok better. And i know most of the inside is taken up by the play feature, but you could furnish the top floor with various things. Furniture made from bones would be really interesting, and would fit in with Lord Garmadon and his army. Well done, and good luck in the contest! -
Good work, Legomaster34! I really like the colour scheme, and the figure head is great. Well done!
-
Excellent idea, Oky Wan Kenobi, and you pulled It off brilliantly! I love the detailing round the board, and the overall design very nice. If this set was released, and if it wasn't too pricey, I'd get it!

Magnificent build, sonicstarlight! The diner is very nice, with realistic features and a modern design. The theatre is absolutely fantastic! The level of detail is incredible, and it's all very well designed. They both fit in nicely with the other modulars. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
