It seems Lego may be producing five 60th Anniversary Lego sets next year including one each in the Town, Castle, Space and Pirate themes. If these were all UCS that would be great. I would suspect Lego will produce a Pirate ship as these seem to come out on a regular basis so must sell ok. I think a UCS generic pirate ship would be great, as they've never down that before. A pirate town or islander "island" might also be possibilities but I think the ship would be more likely. Of course, we could just get a remaster of a past system set which would be a little disappointing. EDIT: I just looked at the leaked retailer's catalogue for 2018 and the 60th Anniversary sets come in a variety of box sizes (no pictures of the sets yet) from quite large down to small, so no chance they're UCS sets. The largest size could be a pirate ship I guess (or a castle).

Former CEO "reassigned": https://brickset.com/article/29843/lego-appoints-new-ceo That was quick - maybe flatlining US sales spelt his end.

I was kind of hoping for some Episode 2 clones to beef up the troops for my Republic Gunship, but those definitely look like Phase 2 clones (might be a placeholder). Good to see the stud shooters gone though. -

I saw this as a kid when I was 8 and have happy memories - I even remember recreating some of the scenes with my Star Wars figures (although even as a kid the signing bits annoyed me). I'm sometimes tempted to seek it out and look on it with adult eyes, but then I always decide to leave my childhood memories intact instead. -

Except the Solo movie is set 10 years prior to the OT, so there may be some variations on what's considered OT (for example variant imperial uniforms/tech etc). Given a UCS Falcon seems imminent, it would not surprise me if a new version of Jabba's Palace is the biggest set in the HS line, given the last version we got came out in 2012. -

I hope we get some location type sets rather than just vehicles in the Winter wave. Also some Knights of Ren/Praetorian guards would be nice. -
Tie Silencer and First Order Star Destroyer are my favourites. The interior on the Star Destroyer looks great. The Heavy Assault Walker also looks interesting but for some reason there are less images than for other sets. The FO scout walker is an abomination but that's more Disney's fault than Lego's I guess. I like the box design on the FO SD and HAW with the images on the side of the sets too. Favourite figures are new Kylo, FO Special Forces pilot and Snoke. Evil BB8 is also cute.

The second wave of RO sets came out a couple of weeks before Christmas here last year so this would make sense to me from a marketing perspective (ie having as much product as possible out to support the movie release). -
I think I'm going to have to see the movie before I can say whether I want any of these TLJ sets or not. The Scout Walker looks underwhelming in the leak but my impression might be different with the legs properly folded out. Kylo's Tie looks nice. Heavy Assault Walker & Finalizer are other sets I'd consider. If you're into army building you can't complain about the number of FO troopers you're getting if you collect these sets. Obvious minifig omissions include Luke and Phasma but I presume we'll see these in the Winter Wave. Looking at the leaked list of Winter 2017 sets I'm disappointed it looks like there are no new Rebels sets coming out. It would be nice to see some support given that the final series is due out this year. Hopefully one of the exclusives is a Rebels set.
-
Can't see Phasma in any of those leaked images...unless that's her feet in the top row. As I'm mainly into bad guys there's a few nice new uniforms here to collect - the Special Forces Tie Fighter pilot is particularly nice as is the Heavy Assault Walker Pilot.

Some of us already had a landspeeder and an escape pod, so I'm happy to buy this battlpack as I don't have any jawas or sandpeople yet.
-
I would guess it's the droid with the bad motivator, The rest of the piece count is probably brick built droids.
-
I'd be in for a battlepack with two Tuskans and two Jawas. Not sure if you could do a brick-built Bantha justice though with a battlepack piece count.
-
I haven't been too excited by much this year - I'm more into Pirates and Castle than modular buildings or Apollo spaceships. I have the Joker's Lowrider which is a nice set. I've bought Vader's Transformation but still have to get around to building it. Hoping for some decent Episode VII sets and a couple of the Ninjago Movie sets look ok but otherwise pretty disappointed so far.
-
Retiring the Imperial Trooper Battlepack so soon seems weird to me - that seems to be the one that is consistently flying off the shelves here. Of course, with EVIII, Han Solo movie and the regular Winter wave, there will be a metric ton of new SW sets landing soon. I'm a bit disappointed we haven't got a battlepack with Scarif Stormtroopers or an AT-ACT set but I guess these may come with the fullness of time.
-
I hope it plays like the traditional Lego games and not just a Battle arena type thing (although the ability for players to play against each other is welcome - I can envision the screams of my two boys now as they beat themselves up virtually).

I prefer the Temple of Airjitzu - this one looks too disjointed for me - although I acknowledge that there are some interesting build techniques and I do like the lower level with the canal. -
Snoke looks like he just stepped out of a long bath and slapped on his robe - he makes Palpatine look like an ad for anti-wrinkle treatment. New Kylo looks nice but not sure I need an updated version of the one I already have.

I suspect any Battlefront II sets we get will either be Clone Trooper/Battle Droid battlepacks (neither have featured in a battlepack for a while) or possibly based on the single player campaign. The classic stormies look the best IMO, but if I want mass ranks of stormies, I don't feel having Rebels' ones in the background messes things up too much. Stormies have already gone through a lot of redesigns over the years so having them all looking identical is a pipedream anyway if you've been collecting for a while. -
Don't tell GRR Martin but apparently a vertically challenged group has taken objection to a dwarf being characterized as "evil" despite this being a dwarf of the beardy fantasy type rather than someone affected by dwarfism: http://www.brickfanatics.co.uk/charity-saddened-by-the-lego-groups-evil-dwarf-minifigure/ The figure is also from series 5 which came out years ago... This is about on the same level as Muslims complaining about Jabba's Palace being a Mosque full of gangsters.
-
At first glance Snoke reminds me of the Sauron/Necromancer figure from 79014...a huge letdown. However the image isn't that great and I guess it would be nice to see the movie for context. Resistance Bomber does nothing for me but there are some nice figures in the other sets (walker driver, a shuttle pilot) but not really anything to get me really excited.
-
Once again people forget that the core audience for Lego is kids, and my kids certainly like the Freemakers. Not sure if making the largest sets Freemakers' ones is a great idea though as that's would seem to be restricting sales to birthday/Christmas presents rather than pocket money purchases as their appeal to AFOLs is limited.

Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise...

Is that Jango the same as the last one? It looks pretty much identical to me but there might be some minor changes - maybe the belt is new? EDIT: Another image of the Bounty Hunter battlkepack here: http://www.brickfanatics.co.uk/new-lego-star-wars-bounty-hunters-officially-showcased/
