  1. I would like to see a Hoth set featuring the Ion Cannon - although the Shield generator would also be a good match with the exisiting AT-AT walkers out there.
  2. I live in Australia and I got my Pharaoh's Quest fix either through Barnes & Noble or Ebay - with the Aussie dollar going so well at the moment even with the postage you can't go wrong. The Scorpion Pyramid only cost me $83 delivered and the Sphinx around $40. Seriously these are beautiful sets and it is a real shame they aren't being released here.
  3. Final got this yeasterday - I wasn't too impressed with the build (especially those damn legs) but I must admit it looks quite nice when finished, albeit not as nice as the Pyramid.
  4. I'm only interested in OT: Sand Troopers (Different shoulder pauldrons, weapon variety + maybe that informer humanoid with the mini-trunk face - a dew back would be awesome but maybe too big for a standard battlepack). Imperials (Officer, Death Squad trooper + 2 x stormies would be fine). Bounty Hunters (cheap way to get Boba in one pack along with any of Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, 4-Lom, Zuckas etc) Jabba's Retinue (Bib Fortuna, Gamoreans, Inerogation Droid, Twilek dancer etc)
  5. I just got this set yesterday, and I have to say it is one of the most impressive sets I've ever built. It's true that there are quite a lot off stickers to put on, but they enhance the set in my opinion and really add that extra little bit of visual impact that makes the set shine. Looking forward to getting my hands on some of the other PQ sets now...
  6. I used the cheapest shipping method from B&N and my Scorpion Pyramid arrived here on Wednesday after being dispatched on 15/2. It really is a shame if these sets aren't released here as they are gorgeous and the play features on the Pyramid are great, although every time my son blows out the wall leading to the coffin with dynamite I can't help myself but say "You call this archeology?" to him in my best Sean Connery impersonation.
  7. [Deleted - I was referring to the Scorpion Pyramid]
  8. My preference would be that new sets for each of the three Action themes will be announced (particularly as I just got Scorpion Pyramid yesterday and have to say it was one of the msot beautiful sets I've ever seen), or even better that a new series of Fantasy-era Lego will be coming down the pipe (unlikely with Kingdoms only on its second wave). Worst case scenario is same lame duck competition.
  9. Shame that the theme looks unlikely to continue - I was kind of hoping for an "Opening the Ark" set myself with Toht and Belloq in ceremonial costume minifigs. The submarine base would also be cool, as would the tank chase from The Last Crusade.
  10. The Myer One voucher will work on any Lego item, not just the three items in the catalog. I got Battle for Endor for $143 today with the 10% extra off from the voucher on top of the store-wide 20% off on Lego.
  11. They did that to me too after I cancelled an order but I just created a new account with a different e-mail address (all other details the same) and was able to enter the coupon again - my Pharaoh's Quest Scorpion Pyramid for $83AUD delivered is now on it's way.
  12. Has anyone got Battle of Endor or Imperial Flagship at 30% off from Myer? There's one near me that one copy left of each as of yesterday and I'd be pretty keen at that discount.
  13. I only have the Fantasy Castle era and Kingdoms casltes and I have to say I prefer the Fantasy-era version - I like the dragon as siege weapon (the poor Dragon knights in the new castle have no chance lacking even a catapult), the fact that the king is looking out over his domain rather than facing the rear and it was a much less repetitious build - the only interesting thing about building the new castle was the gatehouse! I really wanted the original yellow castle as a kid but my allowance only went as far as the pitiful Knight's Procession...
  14. I'll probably grab the Ewok Attack for the Biker Scout, although I feel it would have supplemented the BAttle of Endor set better if they'd included a couple of regular stormtroopers (or even an AT-ST driver) instead of another biker scout given there are 2 already in that set. The MF and the Clone Wars stuff don't interest me at all.
  15. It looks interesting but I can't see it competing with Descent or Castle Ravenloft for people into D&D type adventures. I'll reserve judgement until I hear more.
  16. I'll be picking up the Blacksmith shop, Dragon Prison & the Mill set for sure. I'm on the fence a bit about the King's Wagon though - I already have the castle and why a king mounted on such a maginificent steed would resort to riding in a wagon I'll never know - it would have been much better if it had come with a queen instead. EDIT: Actually I just noticed the king seems to have a white torso and red arms, which is the opposite of the King's Castle king - perhaps a new torso print?
  17. Just built this yesterday and I have to say that while it looks very nice when finished, apart from the gatehouse, the build itself is very boring and repetitive. Even the back two towers are identical until their top levels. I also dislike the fact the King's throne is facing backwards out of a side tower. I prefer the central location of the throne in the King's Castle Siege with the king looking over his domain front on. Also the ramparts and front "towers" are very low - enemies could probably stand on each other's shoulders and get in! Finally the Dragon knights are really crying out for some kind of siege engine here, ala the one from the Oupost Attack set. It's an ok set, but I still prefer the one from the Castle line.
  18. All very nice but when and where are we going to see Pharaoh's Quest Downunder?
  19. Just got the Castle Tower Raid for a very good price off Ebay - along with my skeletons and dragon the orc siege tower will look good assaulting the King's Castle Siege set and the MMV!
  20. As an AFOL I actually prefer the flesh-tones to the normal yellow - it just looks better IMO.
  21. Sadly I too had all my Pharaoh's Quest preorders from B&N cancelled - very annoying given the savings. Has anyone see them turn up in Aussie shops yet? S@H has them up albeit for the usual rip off prices.
  22. I just typed "Lego Pharaoh's Quest" - I just tried the links from my order and they no longer lead anywhere (although my order is still there and my Credit card has been charged). Maybe they've already run out of their allocation and removed them from the site? Or you had to preorder prior to the end of 2010? I just did a search for Lego Pirates of the Carribbean and you can still order those if you want (although given the lack of imagery you're taking a bit of a plunge if you do). Pirates of the Carribbean @ Barnes & Noble
  23. I just ordered the 3 Pharaoh's Quest sets I wanted (Golden Staff Guardians, Flying Mummy Attack and Scorpion Pyramid) from Barnes & Noble for a total of AUD$140 delivered via air mail - not too shabby considering the Pyramid alone is listed on S@H for AUD$159.95 *excluding* postage. If this works out they'll be my new destination of choice for new sets. They had the new Star Wars sets listed as well but I'm an OT fan so there's nothing there for me.
