Day 2 - Faramir

Hi to all, In the previous years I always made a custom advent calendar out of LEGO. In order that my fantasy is not limited - and not to cost it a penny - I made these in LDD. The theme I chose this year is LOTR and The hobbit. I post a new miniset every day. They are compatible with lego advent calendars, so they fit in a regular window, and sometimes it is a minifigure, sometimes something else. LDD has a limited variation for minifig torso and head printing, so for these days use your imagination Day 1 - Palantir

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion

Aanchir found some new elements in the brickset database, and the community built some minifigs from it: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76346&st=0 In one or two days after it, the list of series 10 and 11 showed up on the web, the list for series 10 seeming the same as the new figures. But from where the names of the series 11 figures come, we (or at least I) don't know. -

On the pictures with the better quality, some observation: It looks like the cop's uniform is very-very-dark blue. Is there such a color in lego? I see nothing in the battle mech's hand. Is it possible it doesn't have a laser rifle or something? There is a red box at the feet of the plumber. Is that a toolbox? It looks shorter. Or is it a part of the background? I wonder if the waiter's tray is a new mold. Someone said t can be the artist's palette, but it has a fancy shape for a tray, hasn't it? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion

I made the Medusa fig with "genie leg". I didn't find the Ninjago snake "leg" in brickset, but I guess it would be too bulky to fit in the bag (I remember someone tested it in some topic). Note: I recolored the genie leg, there is no such part in sand green.- 1,076 replies

I'm not sure anymore if this is the proper topic :) I was wondering how the Indian with the black mohawk would look like. Not bad.

Oh, I didn't read, only saw..For my eyes, it was grey with white/blue pattern.

With these colors? It was black with white pattern.

Armor for the Heroic Knight?

Hm, that's 17 figures and the roman soldier is on the list (as emperor) that supposed to be the CM 9 list. So the other 16 can be the figures for series 10? If then where are the new molds for series 9 on brickset? The chicken wing, the double face, and who know what else? This thing is full of mistery..

My try: (the seacaptain's and Medusa's pants are not new) By the way, how come that brickset has such information? Someone has the permission the upload these parts but mustn't tell us what these are used for?

You can always say the yellow parts being a yellow shirt under the clothes. And it works vica versa As for the cyclops, am I the only who thinks that sand blue is a little odd? Of course we don't know the "exact" color of a mythologycal creature, but why some brown/yellow or rahter green? Blue is funny colour for skin - unless you are a smurf. -

Were there any precedent, that a new mold appeared in a new theme, and reappeared in a CM short after? It happened inversely several times (musketeer's hat, flask), but I don't remember in that way (which means nothing). But that would be good. update: It happened with the manbat, so there is chance... -

Oh, I didn't notice that! I had a different list, there is a plumber instead of a female elf on it. The plumber-list is all over the internet, so I don't know where the female elf comes from. Beside the elf would be better. -

It's just a guess, but I can't think everything else but a fortune teller like this: http://legalmatch.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83455b3db69e2013484d19eda970c-800wi The female elf is not on the (still not official) list. -

The 3 you mentioned, the mermaid and the fortune teller. -
Is their a backstory? (I didn't read all the posts ) Why are there more than one human factions? They look cool though, you can collect more minifigs - maybe that was TLG's intention? The purple egg-like things are cocoons I think, with which: They turn humans into space bugs! OR The lay eggs in it, and the trapped human is the breakfast for the younglings! The first is closer to the lego policy I guess...

As for the short legs: I think we should live with it, since I don’t see any solution to make minifig sit with short legs. If Lego did bendable short legs (there is enough space for it I guess), they would be too short for a too-stud-deep seat. The legs would end in the middle of a stud and won’t be able too “grip” the stud properly. Beside this, the legs should be leaky at the heel. I hope I wasn't Captain Obvious Beside it, the sets and the reviews are great.

Found on Brickset: Another proof for the list to be valid. Is the wing a new mold?
