LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion
Yooha replied to muscleman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
In case of series 8 the timeline was the following: List of names - 16 June Pictures - 13 July I have no time/intention to do it for previous series though. In that case, the list was here on 29 Oct, so the pictures are expected to surface on 25 Nov (October is longer :) ). Approx 3 more weeks to wait... -
Minifigures Series 9 Guessing Game
Yooha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Reading these ideas made me wish many of them to come true, hopefully sooner than later :) Although I made a post here earlier, some minifigs are so great, so I decided to make my dreamlist according the ideas I read here. Some of them are mine, but I "stole" many ideas from others, some of them literally. Sorry for that :) I've rewritten them to have a uniformic style, and I added some with any unique feature which are important to me 1 Golf player - checkered colourful sweater, a typical hat (same as the scottish bagpiper) and a golfclub. A bag for clubs, which can be attached like the scabbard, with a holder to grab 2 Frontier - Davy Crockett hat, rifle. 3 Ancient roman citizen - torso and legs with toga painting (similar to the Statue of Liberty), shaved face with stern expression, laurel wreath on head 4 Stewardess - Blue uniform, blond hair, hat can be attached like the bride's tiara and a tray (2x2 plate with airplane food printing). 5 Girl scout - Uniform, hat (the new forest police one), bandana, and trumpet. 6 Royal policeman - Hat, handcuffs and baton. 19th century style, with a black cloak 7 Fencer - white torso and legs. Helmet and sword. 8 Hippie girl - colorful jacket, a normal looking guitar 9 Astrologer - XVI-XVII century outfit with the new white collar, bearded face, sextant and star-map globe 10 Canadian mountain trooper - typical hat, head with sunglasses, red jacket uniform, black legs 11 Sad clown - white pointy cone hat, sad face with a tear, white torso with black pompom buttons and a flower, white legs 12 Criminal mastermind - bald head, scar, self-satisfied grin. Minimal styled grey suit, white cat 13 Grandmother - curly grey hair (same as the sumo wrestler's hair), glasses, a shawl and a pie. 14 Beekeeper - protective suit with net hat, hive 15 Medusa - snakes on head, glowing eyes, screaming mouth 16 Mongol warrior - mongol helmet, head with mongol features- long moustache and beard, armour on torso (same as the samurai's), armour painting on legs, quiver and great bow I tried to think as a LEGO designer. Not too many new molds, reuse of some previous molds, continue some previous lines. And some "fun facts": 14 new molds: golf club, golf bag, Davy Crocket hat, laurel wreath, blond her with small hole, stewardess hat, baton, fencing helmet, guitar, pointy hat, beekeeper's hat, hive, snakes on head, mongol helmet 5 females: stewardess, girl scout, hippie girl, grandmother, medusa 6 historical/fantasy minifigs (my personal favourites): frontier, roman citizen, royal policeman, astrologer, medusa, mongol warrior 2 sportsmen: golf player, fencer 3 modern citizens: stewardess, canadian mountaintrooper, beekeeper Onyl 1 gender counterpart from previous series: hippie girl NO skateboarder/snowboarder/surfboarder/anyboarder -

The correct number should have been around 500 :S. Why don't they make those many head and torso decorations? Or at least make it possible to upload a .png image for them? -

Mine is loose as well. The minifig didn't fall when I grab it at the helmet, but almost. -

Sorry for being dumb, but what can we see on the toy robot's display? The end of a small children's bed? -

"I try to read a little to understand why the special use of number 12" My brother said looking this player as to be Brady, since he plays with number 12. The colours are not perfect though, they should have used red instead of yellow And I think it would have been better to use a mascot logo instead of number, as they did for the hockey player. How can anyone make a team from them? -
Can you guess what is coming to Eurobricks?

It looks like a nice set! Thanks for the close up pictures of the minifigs. I like the printed armor of the bishops and the printing of the red king very much. Since I don't have too many kingdom minifigs (and no dragon shield), I wouldn't mind the mismatching colours It is odd having jesters as "knights", maybe using the red "bishops" as knight is better, they are knights after all! Then you have to switch the helmets for the knight and the bishop at the green side, using the minifigs with flags, helmet and armor as knights and not bishops. It wasn't clear for me: is the red team the "white" and the green the "black" side? According the position of the queen it looks so.

My brother has pointed out that the number 12 on the football player reminds him a certain player with that number, but I said that the colours don't exactly match. I wonder if this was deliberate from LEGO. -
Any market or interest in empty CMF packets or boxes?

I kept one opened bag from each series with the minfig-list in it, but I don't know why. -

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

The CM1 forestman came with only one feather, not with the circle. I guess the same with this guy -
I made my own ranking, which has some difference from this one: I gave points 1 to 10 to each figure, even those I don't have. Obviously, the minifigs I don't own have less points. Because I'm so soft-hearted no figure ended up with points less then 4 I started this measuring system from the beginning, so it wasn't a one-big-time job to do. Sometimes I think that a few minifigs are not so interesting, looking back the points I gave 1-2 year(s) ago, but I decided not to change the points I gave then, because they reflect my first impression of that particular minifig. I had an overall feeling about each series when I first saw it, and I tried to remember, what I felt then, and comparing that “feeling”. Luckily, the objective comparison showed the same pictures as my overall feelings about a series. And now, the numbers: Series 4 6.81 Series 7 6.75 Series 6 6.44 Series 1 6.38 Series 8 6.25 Series 3 6.19 Series 5 6.13 Series 2 5.88 Even though the numbers cover only a narrow spectrum, my feelings about the series are not so close. I think there are only one or two great/lame minifigs in each series, that decide the rank, most minifigs ended up with points 5-6. (approx. 50%) I have a huge file with graphs and statistics, but I won’t bother anyone with it. Only some notes: There are only 4 minifigs with 10 points (elf, mad scientist, hazmat guy, aztec warrior) Only one figure with 4 points in series 4 and 8 (soccer player and DJ). The latter ended up 5th place because no 10 point and only one 9 point-figure (the diver). 6 figures with 8 point or more in series 7 (the most), only 2 figures in series 2. I know this is not necessary, but I love seeing numbers is any system With Athos's methodology: 1st Place (tie) = Series 4 and 7 (13 points) 3rd Place = Series 6 (11 points) 4th Place = Series 1 (10 points) 5th Place (tie) = Series 3 and 8 (7 points) 7th Place (tie) = Series 2 and 5 (6 points)

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Yes I wanted to know if the arms are attached to the torso in the bag, or not. Normal arms are attached, but I didn't know what was the case with others. I don't remember the robot's arm in CM1. For me "attached" means that they are on the torso in the bag, but can be removed of course. If they were molded together, the arms wouldn't be "attached" but "part of" the torso I guess. -

Is the manbat-s arm attached to the body in the bag, or are they separated? (just to know, what to feel) -

Another Vampire, Diver, Skier, a 1564th Santa Claus? This is a bad joke! After such a long waiting and such and effective secrecy, TLG has to come up with something fantastic, without any duplications or female-counterparts. Or are my expectations too high? update: If a diver is something like this then it is a must buy! -
Simply fantastic. But what are those droid arms above the bed, between the golden torches?
-
I hope that's some preliminary pictures, because the edge of the board looks like crap-quality plastic.

Oh, these Paradisa sets always take me back 20 years, when I watched Californai Dreams on TV. Thanks! # Don't wake me up if I'm dreamin' # I never had any Paradisa sets, but I'm planning to get some smaller ones. The Seasida Cabana for sure.
