I love how the winch for the elevator ties in so well with the sign. Its as if its a bike gear!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
CaptainJackBrickster replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I actually like the idea of a quad jumper a lot. Back when TPM was released we got the flashspeeder and it was a great set that was different than anything else we got from that wave. I think it would be a great opportunity to do something like that. -
Very nice, I do like how you did the roofs at different angles. Also this gives me a big GunSmoke vibe.

Ha ha, thats funny the studded road was actually just a place holder until i get tiles. But im glad someone likes it.

Great ship and vignette, but those landing gear dont look too good to me personally. Just my opinion though.

2017 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion
CaptainJackBrickster replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
I wish it was more along the lines of pizza to go. But i'll take what i can get. I never had a chance to get pizza to go and now the prices on ebay and bricklink are outrageous. -
Yeah, i fixed them using imgur instead of using photobucket. And the blue and white car is my own creation, I based it off the old corvette stingrays, but reamagined as a modern car.

This is my custom Shell Gas Station! I based this mostly on Lego shell stations from the 80's and early 90's, also i took some ideas from Jangbricks along the way as well. Another shot of it from a different angle. I made the tops smooth for easy access to the interior of the station. The inside of the station is fully furnished, including a news stand, slushee machine, front counter, and postcard rack. Apparently there is a solicitor in there, trying to get ads put up for his seminars on peace and the ecosystem. I think maybe he should look someplace else other than a shell station, just my opinion though. Where it sits on my shelf! Overall this project was a blast, and a great learning experience with photography. Any suggestions on photography would be great, and constructive criticism is definitely wanted! Are the images too big?

I must say the technique you used on the cobblestone paving is spectacular! Might have to use it in one of my own customs if you dont mind! Also where did you get the fabuland shirt piece from? I do not recall that being ever made.

Reminds me alot of sabre island, but with much more detail of course! Also I think i like the clean look a lot more than with studs around it, the studs make the build look random, just my opinion though, either way the outpost still looks awesome, and reminicent of older sets. By the way, where did the musketeer go? Did he meet up with his buddies? Come on man, we need answers!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
CaptainJackBrickster replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
The bat-moblie doesn't look good at all to me, personally i like the jokers vehicle much better, although we could use a suicide squad version of harley quinn.... But i know that will never happen considering its design and the movie being called "suicide squad". But, hey we can always dream. -
First MOC Project idea and need some input!
CaptainJackBrickster replied to Yellowbird's topic in LEGO Town
I know this isn't much help, but the cost really depends on what you want. You could go all out and put the maximum amount of details in to it and it be huge, but the cost would really show. Or you could do what I do and focus on smaller buildings where I put the maximum amount of character I can into them, and feel really rewarded by the end, without breaking the bank too much. Overall the choice is yours but when it comes to building the smaller houses don't be afraid to go all out. -
I really love the idea with the reddish brown tiles on the train tracks.... Gives it a rustic flare. Must have been expensive though!

Which ninjago set to choose!
CaptainJackBrickster replied to CaptainJackBrickster's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have looked at the master wu dragon set and it looks absolutely great! It looks very different than all the other dragons from the ninjago theme. Plus being a major fan of Dragon ball z (DBZ) Master wu's minifigure is great for acting like hes Master Roshi! -
Which ninjago set to choose!
CaptainJackBrickster posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have liked the idea of Ninjago ever since its day view in 2011, but i have only owned 1 or 2 sets of the theme. And after a large long break i have decided that i need to purchase a set. I have been looking at the airjitzu temple but the price is very steep. I want to know which set is a good stand alone set, or a duo of sets that are good for introducing someone to ninjago with no prior knowledge. Also is it even worth getting into? It has been going on for 4 years now and im scared im gonna buy a set and miss out on the show. -
Hopefully we can get a harbour/marina subtheme for 2016 I would love to have a new marina for all my lego people to hang out! Also i missed out on the harbour in 2011 i think it was and now looking back on it i should've got it!

Old Lego Pirates Commercial + Short Stop-motion Story
CaptainJackBrickster replied to LEGO_Knight12's topic in LEGO Pirates
I love this commerciali have never watched it prior to this post but now that you have showed me I really love it. The stop-motion is great for the 80's or whenever this was shown. Overall it brings back great vibes from the classic pirates. Sadly i do not own any of these sets. -
I dont really have that many minifigs to spare (using most as citizens walking around city) but if i were to get this one (which i may) I probally wont mod it or order parts to make another car. Personally i think the train looks just fine in photos so i guess i just have to really see it in real life to know if i will mod it.
