Prices will drop once the sets are available at more sources. I think that Lego tries rising the prices for sets since quite some time now, but in the end, the price e.g. for battle packs drops to 12-13 Euro pretty quick, and occasonally ends up at 10-12 Euro. Before Christmas, some EP II sets were available in German for pretty low prices.

Thanks for the review I still didn't get used to the scout's helmet, but I got used to the phase II trooper helmet. I'll still reserve my final judgement until I see them with my own eyes. Maybe anyone should file an application to TLG as a "test-watcher".

I said, "measured by "movie-accuracy", a non-accurate mix of troopers." The Gunners are from ANH, while the Guards are from ROTS.
-
No, they never did. But it leaves open the possibility of a battle pack named "Coruscant troopers", mixing e.g. plain white troopers with 501st troopers or shock troopers. Now that I looked at it, all the new battle packs are no longer called battled packs, and 75034 offers, measured by "movie-accuracy", a non-accurate mix of troopers. So all in all I think there's still hope :)
-
Ok...no breeding pack. The point is that plain white phase II clone troopers' only appearance in ROTS is in a brief scene showing Obi Wan arriving at his Venator before his departure to Utapau. So I think the only hope is that two of them are included in another battle pack, mixed with two different troopers from another scene. Or that TLG "will jump over its shadow" and include four of them into a future battle pack.
-
It would. The point is that in ROTS, we never see plain white phase II troopers in combat, so TLG most likely won't make a battle pack containing them.
-
I would like to get some plain white clones (phase I and phase II), but the problem is that at least the phase II troopers weren't seen in combat in ROTS, so a battle pack can't be made. Thus, my suggestion is a "Camino breeding pack" (2 phase I clones, 2 phase II clones), with a few breeding "cells" that are interconnectable.
-
Can anyone tell me if there were plain white clone troopers in ROTS? edit: Hmm just in one scene if I were not mistaken.

Any ideas to build an army of clones/battle droids cheap?
Brickadeer replied to speederCommander's topic in LEGO Star Wars
There is no trick. My advice is: - wait for the new battle packs. The supply of droids will rise (at Bricklink), the price will drop. - buy the new battle packs when they are at sale. They don't contain regular (white) clones, but 1) they look pretty good and 2) the opportunity to get these guys won't come back any time soon. -
I don't like Steampunk. But your walker looks pretty elegant. I like the colour scheme, its feet, and your realizations of steam :)

I do not participate, but I actually like to read the stories and watch the builds, and I have to admit that I'm one of the "no commenter guys". I think that commenting and ultimately judging builds is more appropriate for members that participate in this project, but not to me. My impression is that the rate of participation dropped by roughly 50 % from episode I to episode II, which, to me, is a pitty.

Thanks, the pics in HD are great And it's nice to see that the 212th trooper have combat dents

In my understanding, if F = 10N, the car won't move. Whether he pushes the car with 1N for 1s or 10 days doesn't really seem to matter.

Well, it's hard to see that they can be placed in a guard'ish like stance with the saber, but I think it's not so hard to make a custom one. Plus, they have dark-red arms, and I really like dark-red :)

ebay.

Yes, the white pupils are too huge, and yes, I don't like the new blasters, either, and no, they had a staff-like thing:

A few slightly better pics:

I can't really complain about the vehicles. The AV-7 looks okay to me. Changing the colour of the Wolfpack-Troopers is a great step forward. The only thing I don't like is the phase II TCW visor. The more roundish EP III visor is an improvement, so I think I will get a few battle packs. As for the tri-droid, I have to agree that it still looks odd, very "pre-limish". Including the small spider droid from 75016 would have been a great choice, but anyone will get it for the figures, anyway.

I like that they changed the colour to grey :)

I think it's a Naimodian warrior.

edit: better pics.

I basically agree. The leg printing e.g. of the new phase II trooper is nice. I do not see, however, that it actually improves the phase I trooper or the regular stormtrooper, but I believe that we will see leg printing on future stormtroopers. To me, the recent scout trooper is an example of "too much" printing. While the previous scout trooper somehow "lacked black", the new one has too much. The printing looks to complicated and not consistent with the simplicity of the helmet.

I don't like the new Chewie, mainly because of his scary white pupils. The Kashyyyk troopers look better on these pictures. I think I will have to buy a BP to decide if I like them or not.
