  1. I think that it's highly unlikely that Lego will create a set that is clearly recognizable representing a scene from "The Battle of Ryloth". Thus, I do not believe that 75280 will be based on TCW Season 1, which, I think, is the answer to your question. However, content of sets may be based on different sources. The current Droid Gunship and AT-AP, for example, are based on EP 3, namely the battle of Kashyyk. So are the main characters, Tarful and Gree. The printing of the battle droids, however, is from TCW series. So it's not entirely correct to say that both sets are based on the EP 3, they are based on EP 3 and TCW series. As for 75206, the recent "Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack", it's unclear if it's based on EP 2 or TCW series. It fits pretty well into both backgrounds. So I think that Lego will continue to integrate material from TCW series into sets of the PT if it increases the perceived value of the set and thus increases the expected sales. I think that's why we find e.g. Quinlan Vos in an EP 3 set, though he didn't appear in EP 3. My point is that since quite some time, no clear destinction between "TCW sets" and "Prequel sets" can be made. That's why I hope that in time, main characters from TCW series will find their ways into sets based on verhicles or buildings from the PT.
  2. Thanks :) I removed the hinting part from my post.
  3. No, we can't. From the article I'd conclude that it's more a summary of current rumors.
  4. Due to the article at stonewars, 75286 contains three minifigs, among them a clone trooper. It's unclear, though, if this hint stems from the leaks here in the forum or if it stems from other sources, thus confirming the leaks. It further states that the AT-AT comes along with 6 minifigs.
  5. The printing of new clones is an issue to me as well. I hope we'll get information soon if clones are included in the new sets, if changes were made and if their printing is based on previous TCW- or PT versions. As far as I can tell, a specific TCW printing was given up in 2015, since the Senate Commando Trooper's printing in 75088 adopted to the style of EP3 troopers as in 75036 (Utapau Battle Pack). I think it's because TCW: The lost Missions was aired in 2014 and after that, the TCW-specific printing style was given up. So unless Lego made new "dual molded" helms, I'm confident to get troopers that fit to the EP3-style :)
  6. Am I right so far that no battle pack can be expected for April or summer?
  7. So it's save to say the set is not based on the battle on Saleucami?
  8. Why not? 9494 was released in 2012, 75038 was released in 2014. Both sets featured the Anakin and his Eta-2 starfighter, though in different colors. Currently, 75214 is still available, but it's from 2018 and not an eta-2 starfighter.
  9. Lol :) It didn't appear like a subtle hint to me, so we might very well look forward to finally getting the child :)
  10. I have made two lists as well :) The first consists of phase I clones, the second of phase II clones. The idea is to create clones from different sources (TCW series, PT) in one coherent format, namely that of current PT clone minifigs as seen in 75206, 75076, 75036, or 75028.
  11. I think I simply don't share your view that the general trend has come to an end. Instead, recent minifigures - e. g. the mandalorians from 75267, Mace Windu from 75199, Anakin from 75214 etc. - came with decent level of detail, always surpassing that of previous versions. I think though that there is an issue, but it's not "detail", but about "design choices" in a broader sense, which is something different. Let's thake the mandalorians. They have a high level of detail, the colors are very strong, not so dark and gritty as in the show. They look more like something that Sabine Wren would have painted. Thus, the colors may not be "accurate" (= "as in the show"). But I think that's because they are Lego and because they are meant to look colourful. Other design choices, however, are very odd to me, e. g. the new stormtrooper mold. The helmet itself looks somehow better than ist previous version. Like the snowtrooper helmet, it looks more badass and less neat than ist previous versions. However, I find that ist overall size is too huge, and that it makes the minifig as a whole look awkward. (Especially when a backpack is added as it is the case for sandtroopers. Since backpacks are attached placed under the neck rather than to the neck, backpacks make minifigs taller, which I don't like.) I do not hate it, but besides the one set I got, I will not buy further sets containing stormtroopers, which means no stormtrooper army for me in the foreseeable future. To me, these design choices are pretty much a matter of preference rather than accuracy. That's because the proportions of Lego minifig differ from that of real human bodies. So to me, designing a great minifig is about capturing real-world aspects of a character and translating it into Lego. Apparently, it's not an easy task, and not everyone will be satisfied with choices that are and have to be made.
  12. The battle droid was featured in TCW S01E01 and it will be featured again in the first episode of the "Bad Batch 99" arc. So I think there is a chance we will get him. On the other hand, Lego added the battle droid only to comparatively expensive PT sets, namely 75233 and 75234. It would have fit perfectly into 75261, but that didn't happen.
  13. If I got the prices wrong, feel free to correct me :) But there is no point in offending me.
  14. "LEGO Star Wars MDP 1" was a codename for 75173, "LEGO Star Wars MDP 2" was a codename for 75174, so I don't think as well that "mdp" is a clue as to what to expect from the set. If I had to guess, I'd say that it refers to a product in its final stage of the development process.
  15. Due to "hoth rebel", it's pretty much the 2015 version in the 2009 color scheme. If the price is correct, it's the same price that 75080 initially had in 2015. So I think it's reasonable to guess that the set will contain one or two battle droids and maybe a third minifig.
  16. Hm. I want CW sets as well, and I'm not a kid ^^ It may be that people who want sets from TCW are a minority. I don't know the numbers. But it may be worthwhile to keep in mind that Lego has begun to mix vehicles and scenes from TCW series with the design of minifigs from the prequel trilogy (e. g. 75168, 75199 or 75214). So sets from TCW series might very well no longer be sets "from the cartoon". To me, that actually is a pretty good thing, and I really hope that the design of new clone troopers is as well in line with that of the latest PT sets.
  17. You may be right. However, since the arc seems at least be based on, if not identical with, the released story reel, the bad batch's shuttle would make a nice set. Plus, I like the nose art:
  18. Phase II clones are on my top wanted list. Until today, three battle packs were released: - 75036 (Utapau) based to 100% on a movie - 75035 (Kashyykk) based to 50 % on a movie and 50 % on other sources - 75089 (Geonosis) based to 100 % on other sources I never understood why Lego didn't cover the remaining scenes from "Revenge of the Sith" first, but that's what we got so far. Then, four years later, we got - 75206 (Jedis and clones). To me, 75036 was a great battle pack, and I bought 1+. 75035 was good, but not great. Actually, I liked the 41st Ranger troopers (not from the movie) more than the 41st Elite troopers since I don't like their visor printing. I didn't buy 75089 since it basically contained the same molds as 75036. I have no idea why Lego decided to release 75089 instead of e. g. a 501st battle pack. If they payed the same fees for the licensing stuff (I have no idea how it works) and if they didn't engage in a live experiment to find out how well clone trooper battle packs from different sources sell (which is unlikely), I simply don't see a good reason for it. Lego 75206 was a nice set. Basically, it was consistent with the apparent rational behind all other recent phase I clone trooper battle packs - namely 9488 and 75000 - that there shall not be more than two clones in a battle pack. In the case of 75206, picking two Jedi was a good strategy to make sure that not too many people would buy more than one set. On the other hand, I don't know how well 75036, 75035 and 75089 have sold. Maybe they didn't sell two well, so that it doesn't make sense for Lego to change the composition of battle packs (more than two clones) and/or to release more clone troopers in battle packs or to put effort in this kind of reasoning at all. Anyway, I still would like to see the clones from "Revenge of the Sith" that didn't make it into lego until today (or since 2007 or in their TCW form): - Commander Cody, - 501st legion, preferably with Rex, Fives and Echo in some set, - 327th, preferably with Commander Bly, - Galactic Marines, preferably with Commander Bacara, - Coruscant Guards, preferably with Commander Fox. I'm undecided how pauldrons, armors and kamas are best realized (printing or additional gear), but I'm sure Lego will figure it out. Plus, for most standard troopers don't wear additional gear anyway. If 3 out of 5 items from my list were made, that would be very great.
  19. The rumor started popping up on January 3rd. I assume that one website started it and others jumped on the bandwagon. The rumor say that the new series will focus on Ahsoka and Sabine and their quest to find Ezra. The rumor isn't new, though. Initially, it popped up in August 2018 after Dave Filoni shared his thoughts about the fates of Ahsoka and Sabine. Both "TCW" and "Resistance" end this year, so officially, Disney has no animated Star Wars series in development. That seems a bit odd to me. Additionally, we don't know what Dave Filoni is currently working at. I highly doubt that his involvement in "The Mandalorian" absorbs all of his time and creative power. So I'd say that it is very likely that a new animated series is in development, and I'd say that Filoni's involvement is very likely as well. After all, "TCW" was a success, and that's what Disney needs. And given Ahsoka's popularity among fans, the fact that she's female, the fact that "TCW: Season 7" will introduce her as a main character to a new Disney+ audience, I'd say that a new animated series directed by Dave Filoni focussing on Ahsoka's adventures during and/or after the galactic civil war is not exactly the unlikeliest thing to happen.
  20. "Resistance" ended after two seasons, so it's likely it didn't perform good at all. With officially no animated series in development, I hope Filoni's rumored "Ahsoka" series is for real :)
  21. I think I was initially sceptical about the 2013 mould, but, as with the PT, became quite fond of it :) A visor for Cody, Bly or Fox would be nice. But I think no matter what attachements Lego creates, it has to fit to the design of the phase II trooper as a whole. If it makes the minifig look awkward, I'm fine if it's left away, no matter how accurate it may be. For me, that counts for kamas and pauldrons as well. Plus, I think that at least visors for the current helmets are possible. They may be not moveable, though.
  22. It's pretty likely that is does. Dave Filoni already stated that it's definetly the final season of the TCW series. He added that we "will see why", and there aren't many reasons why there can't be an additional season :)
  23. Yes, it's a death star. Besides that, he couldn't say anything about sets shown in the "secret room" due to his confidentiality agreement.
  24. Actually, I do not remember anyone who said that. A number of people, however, expressed their preference for models that are to-scale with minifigures, and who thus dislike most (oversized) models of the UCS series (e. g. X-Wing, Snowspeeder, TIE Fighters). One person argued that not getting a UCS gunship increases the chance of getting a to-scale version of the gunship, while others replied that to-scale and UCS models of other verhicles were sold at the same time in the past, so it might not be a valid argument.
  25. I didn't vote since I'm not a fan of the UCS series - except for models that are at minifig scale like ~ the Millenium Falcon, and I do not vote for models I won't buy. If I had to, I'd chose the Nebulon B Frigate.
