Hi everyone. I have just returned from a trip to London, and I was going to buy the Architecture Big Ben until I saw that it had ugly clocks on all sides which stuck too far out. Upon returning home, I got bored and decided to build it in Lego Digital Designer. Then boredom also took me to new levels and I ended up extending the model to incorporate some more of Parliament with it. So without further ado here is my Westminster MOC. I have tried my best to maintain the style of the designer's original model as much as possible whilst also giving my own version a different feel. I swapped the ugly clock faces for some plain white tiles which could be printed onto should the builder so wish, giving a much more accurate looking clock. I hope I have done this justice as it's my first try at an architecture model. I hope you like it The LDD File is available on request.

Hi everyone, does anyone know approximately when the Tower Bridge set will be retired? I have decided I definitely need one after a wonderful trip to London and I hope I have enough time to save up for this set before it gets retired.

Harry Potter and King Leo's era of Castle were what captivated me!

LEGOLAND Windsor Discussion & Photos
Javert replied to Legoaholic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Don't take my word for it, but the last time I was there I came home with a bag of LEGO taken from a pick a brick wall. This was a fair number of years ago now though so it may, or may not still be there. This was the time when Pick a Brick was done with resealable bags instead of cups and boxes or whatever. Hope I helped, but I probably didn't. You're probably best to telephone them before you go. Have a wonderful time anyway! :) -
In the Entertainer in Sunderland they have about 5 boxes of these with more hanging on random places around the store. I've picked up 6 so far and I've had no bother feeling them out. Yet to find Abe and Itchy though. The first one I opened was Mr Burns, and when I saw the quality, I had to go back and buy more... Also anyone found them in a UK LEGO store? I'm looking to go spend my VIP points on two of them on Monday and I need to know if they are £2.50 there like in Entertainer.

Hi everyone, Please, would some kind person make me Sweeney Todd's Torso as seen in the picture below? It's for a project I'm hoping to do for my University degree, so I would need it as soon as possible. Many thanks in advance. :) http://earnthis.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Sweeney-Todd-Pics-sweeney-todd-7374825-1600-1200.jpg

My partner and I have just spent the last three hours working together to build Orthanc. I decided I couldn't wait any more and went ahead and built it with her, and she was totally calm and obliging and I cannot thank her enough! (I decided the box was too big to take on the train, and the parents wanted to see it built, so I went for it) This is one of if not THE best LEGO Licensed set ever released. The attention to detail, and how they've captured it, is quite frankly STUNNING! The sheer size of it took my breath away as I put on the spikes at the top. I stepped back, and gazed at the evil looking creation which stood before us. It looked like LEGO had had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory moment and had taken the Tower out of the screen and scaled it down into LEGO form. I can honestly say, whilst a very very VERY tiny bit disappointed at the lack of the fourth wall, I am exceptionally satisfied with the price I've paid. Stunning detals everywhere and some comical ones as well (for example, the unlit brackets in the bomb room) make for a very entertaining and quick build! (It did NOT feel like 3 hours!) (sorry if this is a teensy weensy bit of an off topic remark) If LEGO do Barad Dur in this scale as well... It will be absolutely beautiful!

I finally got the Tower of Orthanc yesterday after a long wait. I deliberately avoided it in the store window display as it was the first time I'd seen it in the flesh. First impressions? The box is MASSIVE, and I've got no clue how I'll get that on a train... I've seen reviews and everything, and I'm so happy I've got it :D Cant wait to build it!

I just got The Wizard Battle, The Council of Elrond and Battle at the Black Gate for Christmas! Also got £50 so I now have enough to buy Orthanc when I go back to University! xD

Does anyone else see that on the Necromancer's head, the print looks as though it's the mouth that would go under the Witch King's mask/helmet? Possible future LOTR minifigure perhaps?

hey guys! I love what everyone's thinking about doing with Orthanc when it's released! Does anybody think this set could be made into a whole tower if you took two sets and made it modular? (so that it would still have all it's floors, and much more space on them too instead of everything crammed in) I know it would cost a lot of money to get two, but I'm thinking the option might be there!

modify the top of the tower and build with one of those translucent beam thingys that those mini podracers came with, sticking out (if not long enough, use two) then attach the eagle onto the end of that?

Those revolutionaries are lovely! I might have to pick up an army of them! They would fit well in Les Misérables MOCs!- 114 replies
