  6. Hello Paul, I was so impressed by your model that I recreated it in LDD using your photos and then in real life. It's a beautiful model! And I also made some little changes. Hope you don't mind if share LXF file. http://bricksafe.com/pages/NikolayFX/lego-icon-bronco-by-paul-kim-mod Thanks!
  7. No, I ordered directly from Lego.com/ca with free shipping + small gift from lego. Another source where I usually make my orders is bricklink.com
  8. Me too, thanks! Yep, you're right it is not really steering, but a sort of it:) Long ago Lego instructions offered to cut hoses by yourself. ;)
  9. Thank you! I was impressed by original model from Carl Greatrix and when this set appeared I already knew what to do with it:) No, but you will have to cut some hoses:) When you build it you will want to do something with it:) Thanks! I would definitely recommend this set. Almost any set from LEGO needs some mods ;)
  10. Hello everyone, Today I present you LEGO Set 21307 Caterham Seven 620R MOD 16+ I made my MOD based on Carl Greatrix's modification of this set. A lot of modifications here, but most important is steering. To do so I cut Rigid Hose 3mm to fit .(see pictures). Other modifications: Ground clearance, seats, hood tilted, narrowed rear arches, front axle is wider, windshield, strengthened dashboard, rollbar supports are connected to the body, lowered on one plate front part of the body... Part (61409) slope in order to join upwards to the hood: lipstick (93094) and pneumatic hose 4mm were cut. (see pictures). Features / disadvantages: Positioning of headlight is like on Donkervoort or Lotus Seven. Instructions: http://bricksafe.com/pages/NikolayFX Full gallery is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/132639540@N05/albums/72157676136261485/with/30146728884/ A quick note about parts that should be replaced (LDD 4.3.10 do not have them). - 2 Plates 1 x 2 (Item No: 3023) Light Bluish Gray and Plate Modified 2 x 2 with Pin Holes (Item No: 2817) LBG - should be replaced by Plate Modified 2 x 4 with Pin Holes (Item No: 26599 NEW) LBG. On each side, like in original instructions. - Tile 2 x 2 undetermined type (Item No: 3068) Yellow and Tile 1 x 2 undetermined type (Item No: 3069) Yellow - should be replaced by Tile 2 x 3 (Item No: 26603 NEW) Yellow At the bottom of the model on each side. - 2 Tiles 1 x 3 (Item No: 63864) Black - should be replaced by Tile 2 x 3 (Item No: 26603 NEW) Black On each side of rear arches.
  11. Great looking van! Reminds me about Set 5581 Magic Flash from Model Team series.
  12. Thank you! I'm really glad that you like it! It was you who did a great job! :) Some short note about the model on the picture. Axles 5.5 in front wheels are cutted to 4.5, and also in wheel arches 3.5 axles implemented from 4. Liftarm 3x5 L shape (Dark Blue) cutted to 5 (do not exist in this colour) in the middle of the roof. I won't make a video (if you asking me). Piterx made it
  13. Hello, Thank you for this great model! It looks beautiful! I've recreated it with some MOD's and made LXF file as instruction. Instruction: http://bricksafe.com/pages/NikolayFX/
  14. I made tire comparison 62.4 vs 68.8 vs 73.5 see attached photos. 73.5 a bit stiffer than 62.4 (thicker rubber layer). It is necessary to make a decent effort to put these tires on the wheel. Quality of the tires are really good. Would recommend.
  15. Thanks, this is my lovely version. About video: it'll look like climbing turtle, well... a bit quicker:))
  16. Hello, guys! Today I want to show you lifted version with third party tires. This tires can be found here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/162198869442 Also I made "Updated" instruction with some improvements in both axles. Gears are changed, now it's faster but has less torque. http://bricksafe.com/pages/NikolayFX Technic Axles 5.5 with Stop were cutted to 5.
  17. To prevent gears from slipping use this solution. You should use this part: Pin with Friction Ridges Lengthwise WITHOUT Center Slots (Item No: 4459). But... Universal Joint 3L (Item No: 62520c01) may explode:)
  18. Thank you very much! I spent a lot of time doing them:) Unfortunately only a few of them can be recreated in real life.
