Nice armies everyone! Here is mine. 2 falcon knights 59 dragon knights 61 lion knights 25 kingdoms royalty 8 crownies 4 evil dwarves 5 kingdoms wizards 47 peasants

Their scheming just worked as I picked up two copies yesterday This set really is amazing, and after LOTR is done I hope kingdoms makes a comeback.

PHEW. Big sigh of relief. Boromir looks much better. The other figs all look awesome too. Thank you LEGO.

It would be fun if LEGO made some "versus" sets. I envision them being cheap sets with a couple mini figs in them and maybe a tiny bit of scenery as well. I have a feeling these would sell faster than they could make them. Examples: Gandalf vs Saruman Aragon vs the uruk hai that killed boromir Aragon vs armored troll Gandalf or Theodin vs witch king Sam or Frodo vs Golem Treebeard vs goblin You get the idea...

How about rearing horses or all the grey castle and rock pieces for MOCing! Those are the highlights to me other than the figs.

I should not have said exactly like the prelims I just mean not much has changed since then besides the mini figs. Weathertop looks like it got an extra landscape piece, and it appears the set is hinged and contains something inside?!

LOL at the guy in the Gandalf costume I copied the picture and zoomed in as much as I could on the sets. They look exactly like the prelims. I was a little surprised helms deep only contains the front of the castle. There is no back I suppose that makes sense since the castle is set against rocks in the movie... Nice to finally see orc forge! Here is the Link!

Anyone else think that "Boromirs" head is actually Theodens? They just messed up the image like they did with his arms. It looks exactly like Theoden...

I agree that Boromir looks more like Theoden than Boromir but other than that the figs are all great. I was hoping for Saruman in the orc forge set, but 5 orcs will do nicely. Since the sets themselves are reported to be very similar to the preliminary pictures, the mini figs are obviously the selling point of this theme. Not to say the sets are bad, but the mini figs are so much cooler. If the photo is any indication of the resources LEGO is putting into this theme, I am very excited to see the next wave!

Although I was hoping for some set images, it is hard to stay sad when you look at that picture Gimli looks the best.

Anyone going to the toy fair tomorrow?! If so, please give us some much needed intel on this awesome theme.

Jakon, Your list of ideas is good, and I do not like to dampen enthusiasm since I love getting excited over LEGOs myself, but your prices seem a little on the low side. For instance, charge of the rohirem complete with 13 minifigs for only $15? Not gonna happen my friend. Unless you know something I do not?!

That mini castle is awesome. The scenery is awesome. The whole thing is awesome. Did I mention it is awesome?!

Judging from the latest LOTR poster it is a new mold. The sword looks sick. I am surprised how many people are skeptical about this line. The prices are not bad at all for a licensed theme, and I will save you the suspense - the finished sets we see in high res photos in the next couple weeks will be stunning. The end.

Overall I like your list a lot. All your sets are based on castles/battles though. The only thing I would change would be to add a more forest oriented set or two. Other than that I hope these are exactly what LEGO makes One cool thing I noticed was that most LOTR sets include more main characters over general soldiers. This is good for unique pieces but bad for army building. Hopefully more battle pack type sets like the uruk hai army one emerge in the future!
