  1. Svelte Corps, you rock! Great review, the set looks great. Sure, it's big, but I can't imagine this thing parking outside the Green Grocier for a quick donut. Small vehicles- The two flyers are great. I'm impressed that there's actually room to store it all, including under the truck. All the agents are great. Especially Agent Trace- and her hairpiece.
  2. Happy B-day! Sorry I couldn't find clam, though...
  3. Come on guys, look around. This was only posted about 20 times.
  4. This is a fairly simple MOC, and I wouldn't be caught dead with it on my shelf, since I didn't have enough pieces to make a full rainforest ( ), so I hoped the camera angle would suffice, but... Oh well, see for yourself. A young howler monkey ventured out onto a thick vine. Well away from his clan, he is foraging for that loveliest of delicacies, the fig. Little does he know, his foraging has put him in the most dangerous of situations- he's been seen. Over half a mile away, a lone predator launches from her favorite Caeba tree perch. After sitting for hours, conserving energy and constantly watching, she is ready for a kill. The young monkey may have ventured from the safety of the dense foliage, but he is still behind a thick tangle of leaves, branches, and vines. As effortlessly as a dancer, the predator twists and dives through the maze with agile wings, the powerful Harpy Eagle bursts through the leaves, talons out, wings spread, hurtling at the howler at fifty miles an hour, four inch talons spread, ready to strike- - So the young monkey does the only sensible thing- he lets go, and plummets from the vine, to land in the leafy branches below. The monkey escapes into the lower canopy, while the eagle wings her way back to her perch. The monkey has won today, but the eagle needs only to win once. After I took the pic, I realized that it was pretty hard to tell that it was even an eagle. Of course, I'd already taken down my makeshift setup, so there was no way I was going to set it up again! The idea here was to mod my eagle so that I could pose the wings and talons, though with only mild success. Here's the original: As you can see, I only had the 1x1 cylinders and clip as legs.
  5. I thought there were going to be 2 grunts plus ARC on both the RGS and the AT-TE. 2 grunts to pilot the RGS, 2 grunts to sit in the cockpit and cannon of the AT-TE. TLC has always done this, hasn't it?
  6. Wow, SN. This is definetely my favorite of your MOCs. You've managed to recreate the scene wonderfully, it includes lots of action, including the guy going down the anthill. The SNOT-y effect works beautifully, adding to the theme. The plants are great, too- I don't think I've seen the carrot top used like that before, good job. You also made a really cool tree. The curved elements are really slick, and the green-ish bricks under the tree add some depth. The ants! The ant are wonderfully disgusting. You must have taken a lot of time to position them all, and I like how the ants are swarming around the skull, it just pulls your eye in to that middle detail. Can't have been fun to position all those ants, though. You probably had to be really, really careful when moving it, they must have been falling all over the place. How many sets did you buy, by the way? I don't like ants either. I love snakes, I work with them, but ants... When I need to feed the lizards at work, I have to use my bare hand to pick up mealworms, they're just as bad.
  7. Awww. I like the TIE Army Forum- It sounds so cool.
  8. I didn't know they made new pistols. Which sets are they in?
  9. I'm just about to get MX-81 H.O.S. at S@H. 6 day wait off!

    Towel Day

It's today?! I was hoping it'd be during the week... That's so fun to bring to work/school. Bath towel ON!
  11. Good work! I like the use of the x-pod lid as the dish, though I'd try making it a bit shorter and slimming out the antenna thing... Sheesh, I have no idea what to call it.

    new sets?

Yes, except for the MM one. The agents sub- That's cool.
  13. Wasn't planning on getting this anyway, and this just reinforces it. 79.99? No way! 493 pieces, and it's big because it has those gigantic viking hull pieces. 59.99, at most.
  14. Yay! Can't wait for your review. I plan to get this and the giant truck. What is a sound brick?
  15. Just saw it- Right up there with Iron Man! I think they should have left out the aliens and done something else, but everything else was great- In a lot of the scenes, he looked like he'd lost ten years. Go Indy!
  16. Wore my Fedora to school. Guess why?
  17. Thanks! I like your vulture- the head is really nice. I've made some here-Turkey Vulture, Raven, Harris Hawk, and a Harpy Eagle. There's one where I live, too. It's a museum, but it also has a smattering of animals, mostly birds of prey, reptiles, various mammals. It takes in injured or imprinted birds. Every bird there cannot be returned to the wild, for various disabilities. For example, one of our ravens is blind, and the other was raised since it was a chick, and can't be released or else he'll fly over to the nearest neighborhood and start jumping on people's heads.
  18. Good point. I haven't read them in a while, and I've mostly forgotten the bloody parts. But the theme of most of the stories, the Redwallers, don't fight in earnest, and it's mostly directed toward fighting for defense and peace. (Of course, some characters are an exception) Then, EF is aimed toward really, really big guns. They fight for peace, too, though... SW also kills a lot of people, (Stormtroopers, Death Star) but there is a lot less blood.
  19. Hi there! I've been pondering for a little while on making a historical Mongolian vig, depicting a Mongolian hunter. As you can see, I finally got around to it. I originally planned for a brickbuilt wolf and a brickbuilt eagle, but I was having a hard time with the eagle, so I went with the single peice, and no wolf. Now, for your history lesson! The hunters of Mongolia have used golden eagles for centuries for hunting deer, hare, etc. They also used these eagles to kill wolves. The hunter will pick the biggest eagle he can- a female- and train it. The hunter will follow a lone wolf, and set the eagle on it. With 750 psi of grip in their talons, the golden eagle will grab the neck or head of the wolf and squeeze. This is extremely dangerous, though, and eagles have been killed by wolves. This isn't natural, either- the biggest thing an eagle will go after is a deer fawn. These hunters train, shelter, and feed their eagles with great respect, and release the eagles when they've reached a certain age. Some people might regard this as falconry. It is- but it isn't sport. Along with bows and guns, the eagle is a hunting tool. They are extremely powerful and efficient predators that the Mongolians have worked alongside with for centuries. However, these days some of this is for sport... Falconry is viewed as a disgusting and unnatural sport. Not really- many modern falconers let eagles hunt for themselves, killing animals for food, like wild predators would. EDIT: Sorry if my typing sounds odd. I got distracted and started searching up falconry on YouTube, and started reading the posts...Big mistake.
  20. Relatively non-violent. Compared to other themes, such as Exo Force, SW... Besides, it has a peaceful side to it as well.
  21. Wow. Really? That's amazing. I've been reading Redwall since I was five... That'd be right up TLC's alley, too- It's a very non-violent, good series, great for kids though the animals would be hard to make. But, this is a Factory theme, and that would be a license theme.
  22. Be careful there, Ian Ded.
  23. Well...heh...I almost voted for the animal theme. But what are the chances of a Harpy Eagle set?
  24. Have you made any other reviews? I want more. Please? I'm not planning to get this set, but its pretty cute. The set itself is okay, but the figs are amazing. Agent Charge: I want that head. Unibrow man! Great villain! Crocs...
  25. I was looking in my email, and I got one of those advertisements that they send us. To my suprise, though, they included a poll on a new theme! The poll included: Robots Wild West ( ) Animals How amazing is this? Wild West? Oh, baby! EDITED by imperialshadows: Link removed. It was nice of you to post it, but two problems. 1. It's specifically linked for you, thus any votes taken will just change your vote and not actually add to the total. The other links are somehow specific to you as well, so it's best not to leave it out there for everyone. 2. If gives out your email address, making it possible that anything spidering this site to pick it up. Spamtastic!
